Such a treat! So many fond memories at this chain and James (owner operator) provided great reinforcement to those memories of the past. The quality of the ice cream is wonderful and from what I saw around the room portions and quality of the meals are quite sufficient. A number of 'boxes' were requested in our surroundings which is an indicator of portion quality... for me. Recommend this just for the nostalgia alone... Everything else is a bonus!

COVID has hit Friendly’s hard. Their family-friendly atmosphere has suffered as well as their location count. They filed bankruptcy in late 2020 and more than 300 locations shut down in the last decade. With little more than 100 left, they require our continued patronage to stay afloat.The Friend-z’s were phenomenal. The ice cream is always stellar here. The food was excellent (extra points for using oyster crackers with the soup, it seems no one does that anymore) but I wasn’t crazy about the breading on the pickle fries.Julian M was awesome. I’m sure Tannersville business would pick up with more servers of his caliber!Parking: Parking isn’t hard to find.Kid-friendliness: It’s a very kid-friendly restaurant. There are arcade/claw games at the entrance inside.

Used to eat at Friendlies often growing up. Seeing signs as we exited was nostalgic.Overall, if I had to say, it just seemed like everything we ordered tasted like it was microwaved. It was all pretty bland. Mostly comfort food stuff…compare to a local diner, it’s no contest.Service was a little slow, perhaps understaffed.The ice cream was a big hit, we all liked that.Waitress had us sign our check with a crayon? Must be a pen shortage in Pennsylvania?Come on Friendlies! Rooting for a comeback.

While a bit hungry, we found this place near the snow tubing area and gave it a try! First time here, and it was a good experience! Chicken sandwich was great, not too greasy, not overwhelmed with sauce or mayonnaise, just well done! Ice cream is a must; great flavors and texture! Friendly fast-food spot in PA!

Good American food, reasonable prices. Wait staff here were particularly pleasant and helpful. The Friendly's restaurants are very much family-with-kids oriented restaurants, so you have to expect some noise and behaviors that come with kids. They have outdoor seating, which looked quite nice (hard to tell in the snow) and plenty of parking around the building. Don't skip dessert! Love the ice cream!

We love Friendly’s!! It was New Year’s Eve, so I guess they didn’t schedule enough or people called out or just can’t get people to work. They did the best they could. The food and ice cream was still fantastic as usual. I had the new cool ranch Doritos chop burger and it was delicious!! The service was slow, but was expected after we found out the staffing problem. We were traveling so I might not make it back to this one, but recommend all Friendly’s.

Your manager has 0 people skills. Your employees Zion and Joe held back the manager from getting physical with someone. They refused to give out the managers name and said he went by Jay. Cops were called and they said they will review tapes but your employees and the manager said that never happened. I want to see the tape because that in fact did happen. Not only that he was screaming at one of the employees in the back before this altercation. I’m not sure what leverage this manager has on his employees but this is not a good look for a business to have a manager as unprofessional as this one.

Food was good. However, service was extremely slow and it took a long time for anyone to acknowledge us. After dining in I noticed they ran my credit card twice. Once for our bill, and another for what I’m assuming was someone else’s bill. Unfortunately it’s a hassle I will have to now deal with.Update - they have now charged my card multiple times for unauthorized purchases. I had to dispute it. Be careful using a credit card here! This is theft!

Good location. The restaurant is clean and has quite a lot of seating. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. The orders have been accurate and the food is good/typical for this chain. The ice cream is always our favorite part, and they get it right!

Our party of eight was set very quickly. The waitresses were very friendly and the service was prompt. All the kids were happy and the ice creams were spot onParking: Plenty of park in handicapped and nonKid-friendliness: It was all about the kids. They gave them all packets and their own menus and crayons and the kids got to order their own food with the waitress. Food was good, but service was a little slow. Waitress was right there to take our order, after we waited 15 mins before someone came to the counter, but hardly ever checked back. My grand daughters each ordered apple slices, they just pushed the apple corer through and put them on the plate, there were still seeds and stems attached. Wasn't worth the drive from Stroudsburg to Tannersville.

Everything was super delicious! The burger, the chicken, french fries and ice cream are all super yummy! The employees are very friendly and kind. Service was very fast! Entire restaurant was spotless, very clean. Prices are just right. The decoration and theme inside is very nice! Its a mix of modern pop art on some walls, with a nice old fashioned mix of indoor window wall seperators, and 1950s style dinner booths & tables.. with 1950s classic friendlys ads mounted on the walls too. Plenty of parking. Free parking. It was a great experience! Thank you!

Tried taking the family to this location for dinner and ice cream but didn't even get to sit down because they were so understaffed. We were told 10 minutes wait even though restaurant was half full. Waited 25 minutes with no communication and watching other tables get up and leave after not being served. Ended up leaving without even sitting down.Place shouldn't even open with the level of staffing. No more than 3 people on duty (including cooks) for a dinner rush.

Would NOT recommend going here - the restaurants in the area we went to yesterday while at Great Wolf we left 5 star because they were good.Very slow service, seems they are under staffed. Food portions are pretty small. The food that came out didn’t look anything like the menu. The only thing that tasted good was the chicken salad and ice cream.We had to go up multiple times to try to get them to hurry up. We are staying at great wolf lodge and didn’t want to spend 1.5 hours on lunch. Saw other people getting upset that they were waiting for long time just to get their bill. Some staff were apologizing for the delay others just said “well we have one person….” But while she said that she was there waiting on a table, our waitress was there, someone was sitting at the tables counting a ton of money and I saw at least one or two more there.We asked for our ice cream to go because of how long it was taking. We ordered the Reece’s peanut butter cup sundae and this is what we got - not the right thing cups a complete mess. They did put in an extra kids dessert in the bag.

It's Friendly's. Pretty standard restaurant. Good parking, handy location. They were not busy, it was 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon.I ordered a pastrami super melt sandwich and a bowl of clam chowder. The two people that were with me each ordered side salads.The waitress started off good with taking our orders and bringing our drinks.Shortly after that she brought out their salads.And then we waited...And waited...20 minutes later out came my food.I never had cold clam chowder before. It wasn't hot. It wasn't even warm. It was cold on top and slightly warm in the bottom. This soup had been sitting waiting to come to our table for a while.I assumed the cold soup meant they had been waiting on my sandwich...I was wrongFor being such a greasy sandwich it sure was cold.My meal must of spent 18 of the 20 minutes I waited for it sitting waiting to be brought out.I've been to this restaurant before - when it was super busy and thought it was kind of mediocre as Friendly's restaurants go, but after this experience, I'll pass on this place in the future.
