Had a great experience here using their rental equipment and the shuttle service. The rental process was fast and those helping my wife and I were friendly and perceptive to any questions we had. The shuttle service was a great deal, we got dropped off right at guest services and picked up within 10 minutes of calling to come back. Saved a long walk in ski boots for us. Also the dog on the bus made the ride even more fun.

Overall, the staffs are friendly and profesional. Came with my wife and two kids whom were skiing for the first time and the staffs tried their best to find them the right size. My wife even came back the next morning for a larger size boots due to thicker socks without much hassle. I guess we came in during non-peak hours so the service was quick. The return is also swift just in-out. Will come back again next time.

Walked in looking for boot rentals only for my daughter and told I have to pay full price of a rental. Okay. “Your total is $47.” “Oh I had to charge you the holiday rate as well.” Yeah first and last time I’ll ever shop at this place. Better off at the Loft. Better prices and the guys have a WAY better attitude.

Great place to rent. We love this place and use them every year when we come here for our annual family ski trip. The lady that left the review below us is wildly confused.. She took my daughter’s skis right off the rack, wasted 3 hours of our day, not to mention ruined the rest of our family ski day. My daughter’s skis were with mine on a rack that had no other skis on it, after we stopped to get water for 10 minutes. I can’t believe she had the audacity to complain after she brought back skis that she stole and tried to return skis that WEREN’T even hers. By the way Makenzie Mulrooney you owe me $30 for taking credit for my daughter’s poles. Thank you!

Wanted to rent just a pair of boots and a helmet. They refused, citing something about safety. But these are my brand new skis with brand new bindings. I just needed to rent boots and have them adjust the bindings to fit the boots. But they refused! So I had to rent boots, skis and a helmet. I thought maybe at least it would be cheaper than at Camelback, but it turned out to be the EXACT same price! So absolutely no savings on a weekend.The second problem was the employee helping me had an attitude. He didnt seem to want to help anyone. I asked for the boots, tried them on, they were too tight, so i asked for a different pair a half size larger. I tried them on and they were way too loose. I asked if he had a different brand or just a different pair because the clamps were not binding and kept flapping loose. He refused. So i agreed to the too large boots, he adjusted the bindings and i went skiing. The boots were so loose, i couldnt turn while skiing and almost crashed! So i had to bring everything back to the car and then drove all the way back to Alpine Ski Shop and asked for the smaller size. Unfortunately it was the same employee and he looked more unpleasant and like ready to just quit his job. By the time i got back to the mountain, i had lost 1 hour of ski time already!Pros:maybe you will save money on weekdays and non-holidays?One employee there is nasty and has an attitude like he doesnt want to be there, but the rest of the staff seem nice.Cons:Boots have no cushioning, and the 2 sizes given to me were too small and too big. (Might only be a problem for my specific size?)Expensive on weekends, same price as renting at Camelback.If your equipment doesnt fit or needs adjusting, it will be at least a 1 hour amount of ski time lost as you have to walk back to your car, drive to the Alpine shop, get new equipment, drive back and then walk to the mountain again.Suggestions to the owner:Lower your weekend prices so there is a savings compared against renting at CamelbackTrain your employees to be nicer, at least specifically the one who doesnt want to work there.Replace the brand of equipment you are renting that has faulty clasps and no cushioning in the boots with something nicer. Try to make sure the half sizes are really half sizes and not way too small vs way too big.Allow the customer to rent just what they need if they have some of their own equipment and adjust the rental price accordingly. Offer free mounting of the rental equipment to the customer equipment. Have the customer sign a release agreement that frees you from responsability if the customer gets hurt using mixed equipment.

This place uses to be nice and affortable but now there service are not good anymore and treate you like your are coming for free rental. They increased the price which make me not want to go there anymore.I recommendad going to Pocono Ski Rental, just a minute drive from this place and its cheaper there as well with nicer people.Happy Snow Trip

These folks were great and very accommodating - one of our kids skied one day, then wanted to snowboard the next, and then skied the last day - Alpine worked with us without a hitch, even on what was a very busy weekend!

Little pricey, pretty decent gear. Only checked out kids snow apparel, no real snow gear outside gloves and suits. which I did for the kids before tubing. They since they were sleeping in the car...so I went in alone. $20 per pair of gloves, the cheapest ones, but when I tried to put them on the kids, they didn't fit, way too big. 2 hours later on the way out I went to see if we can return them.. brand new gloves, but no return policy.Makes sense to prevent people from "renting" gear... but this wasn't even used.. a little salty about that. Blanket policies don't always work so well for the customer.. we are only human out here. So I was feeling like $40 went to waste. I'll do my best to come prepared next time..if there is one.

Rented skis here for a March trip to Camelback for family of four.. Equipment was in good order, service was efficient and friendly. On a March weekday there was 0 wait time. 5 minutes by car from the slopes. Will happily use them again.

We took a chance on these guys on our first trip up to Camelback three years ago and it was the best decision we made. Prices are so much better than the resort and the guys that run this are great. My family found them so helpful especially when we’re newbies. About $120for the whole family (4 people) to rent equipment. We will keep coming back!

I went here for my first time and I was very pleased with the service. The staff were helpful and got all of our equipment quickly and helped us with fitting. The equipment themselves are also in great condition and the rental price is phenomenal. There aren't a lot of places where you can get such good prices. The return process was also efficient, and our things were returned very quickly without problems. Great place since it is so close to Camelback Mountain, so I highly recommend coming here if you are not looking to rent from Camelback.

Worst experience ever. They told me they would refund my money since I didn't use my skis and they never did. It is not a cheap place, they are the same price as in the camelback mountain shop and they are not good quality. One of the employees was very rude and yelled at me. The manager or owner was more respectful. I returned some other skis that had been lost before from another person and they didn't even thank me. Don’t waste your time coming here.

My husband two children and I, stopped here to get some souvenirs on our way home. An employee- not sure if she is the owner or not- had a large dog perhaps a laberdoodle- at the threshold of the store. My husband and oldest son approached the door and the dog barked at them. My husband then asked the woman if she could get the dog so we could come in. He told her our youngest son will be afraid of the dog.She refused to get the dog, stating “he lives here and he’s staying”. She was unwilling to even get the dog to allow us to come into the store. It was embarrassing and disheartening. My children had been looking forward to stopping at this particular store and her unwillingness to demonstrate a modicum of professionalism ruined this experience. Given that the dog barked at my husband and son, why would we risk attempting to go further into the store? Her immediate dismissal of patrons in lieu of her dog makes me question her actual desire to make money. Now, I think I should also mention that my family and I are African American and the employee or owner was white. I would hate to think that her unwillingness to support us visiting the store had anything to do with our race. However, it is hard not to call that into question. We frequent the Poconos regularly and will NEVER visit this establishment again due to the anguish and embarrassment she caused our family.If I could give zero stars I would. We visited 7/1/2022 at 11:00 am

Great staff. Good equipment as well. Only issue was we had 2 sets for one day and 2 sets of 2 day rentals. They mixed up which ones were returned after one day and tried to charge me for a second day. Simple mix up and we figured it out. Will use them again.

We were visiting from NY and stopped here to buy snow pants on our way to Camelback, and we ended up renting the pants and all of our ski equipment here instead of at the mountain. It was cheaper and the guys that run this place are awesome. And they have a great gift shop attached to the shop. Keep up the great work everyone!!! We will definitely use them in the future.🤗👍🏻

Great Rental Shop. Staff were super helpful and nice. One of the few places where you can rent not only equipment but also cloths (ski jacket and ski pants). The prices are also hard to beat and much cheaper compared to renting on the mountain. Their ski boots were actually quite comfortable compared to other ones I have worn before. Skis were also good quality and in good shape. Another plus is you can come the night before your rental starts and pick up your rental for the next day. No need to wake up at the crack of dawn to get rentals and make it to the mountain. I recommend reserving the rental stuff online so you don't need to fill out paperwork at the shop.

Alpine Ski Shop is a great rental shop! When I called over the phone to see if they had my 4 yr old sons size in snowboard boots they were happy to check and let me know. Another shop I called said “yea we should have them”. I made the reservation online and followed up with an email confirming kids size and they happily replied confirming they would set aside the boots. I was able to stop by the night before to pick up the rental equipment and the staff was very kind and helpful. I got in and out very quickly. I highly recommend Alpine Ski Shop!

What an amazing bunch of guys and gals. Beat the mountain prices and come to this smaller rental shop at the base of the mountain. Me and my friend flew into Mount Pocono airport looking for a day of skiing and some quick and easy rentals. Time is money in aviation so the speed of picking up the rentals and drop off was critical in us making our departure window. These guys are top notch and I can’t wait to visit them again.

I love this place soooo much this is a one stop shop they have funky s’mores stuff, hippie isle, hoodies, swim gear, crystals and even stuff your dogs !!! I mean they have everything you could think of and anything your missing before you head up to camelback!!! When I walked in everything was so neat and clean I knew I was going to spend some money here. As I was checking out two dogs came from behind the counter very very very friendly was talking to the owner about what breads they were and there names I mean the cutest dogs you would ever meet!!! Everyone that came in gave a little bark hi and tail wag like they knew everyone! Can’t wait to come back and say hi to the pups!! Best Shop Ever!!!!
