My husband and I came here yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the fried goat cheese appetizer, french onion soup, ribeye steak with chipotle whiskey butter, and rack of lamb with berry glaze. We loved all our food. It was also nice we could bring our own drinks. The atmosphere was very cozy and we loved the fireplace. Our waitress was kind and accommodating. We would definitely be back and recommend this for a special occasion or a nice dinner date night. The only thing I wish would improve is for them to acknowledge special occasions. I have specified on our reservation that it was an anniversary dinner. and there was no acknowledgement of it at all. A candle on the table with a happy anniversary from the staff would have been a nice gesture

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was rather average. Given the price point, one would expect better food & service. With that said, BYOB was a nice plus. The outdoor atmosphere was also very enjoyable. To expand on our qualms - we ordered several of the brie appetizers, which came with prosciutto; however, we didn’t receive any meat & weren’t warned ahead of time. Our main courses were solid, but nothing outstanding. The restaurant also seemed unequipped to handle a large party, despite it being a weekend, as they struggled to provide enough silverware or water for the table.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the Fairview Cafe. The ambiance was so relaxing and it felt like we were truly in the country from the cozy cabin element the restaurant has to it. There is a large 4 sided beautiful fireplace in the dining room as well! The service was exceptional from the beginning to end. The food was delicious! The arugula salad was my favorite appetizer. You can’t go wrong ordering any pasta as your entree — they were all delicious, especially the Linguini Mediterranean. To top it off, my favorite dessert was the carrot cake. It was the best I’ve ever had! We will definitely visit again. Thank you to Donny for his hospitality.

Romantic and intimate dining. The place looked amazing decorated for Christmas. The food was outstanding. Service was great! We ate leisurely and comfortably. Added perk that it was a BYOB. Special mention of Diane who was the hostess and our waitress. She was very pleasant as well as accommodating. We enjoyed talking to her very much. We definitely will be back!!

This restaurant was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! There was nothing bad. The bread was hot, the butter is mixed with cinnamon and honey, the asparagus was nice and crisp. The mashed potatoes was some of the best I've had. I had the duck with orange ginger glaze; and my husband got the special which was a 7 pepper coffee rub steak. (Which was HUGE!) Both melted in our mouths. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant. All at a VERY reasonable price. We will DEFINITELY come back the next we come to the area.

Amazing Mother's Day ❤️ dinner with family at a beautiful restaurant with amazing food. There was a special menu for Mother's Day with a wide variety of choices. As we were seven people, we had one of each of the entrée choices. Our choices were: Rack of Lamb, Filet Migion, Seared Sea Bass, or Roast Duck, Each entrée was more amazing than the others. It is the perfect place to enjoy a family dining experience.

What a disappointment..so looking forward to a nice meal. It took the waitress 20 min to come to our table. Another long delay before taking our orders. I was so looking forward to a nice juicy prime rib. What I received was a cheap cut of an overdone tasteless steak. Had a few bites and left behind. Wouldn't even bring the rest home for our dogs! Last time our meal was substandard..thought we'd try again. Won't be giving it another shot. What a waste of our $$. Chose another place

Let me begin by saying, if I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. We have lived in this area for only one year now. This restaurant is by far, our favorite within an hour radius. The food is absolutely AMAZING every single time, better then every New York City high class restaurant, I’d especially recommend the cowboy ribeye and the short rib. The wait staff are the most friendly people. They not only remember us, and our orders, they always go out of the way to talk to us and make us feel very welcome. One of my favorite parts is that it’s a BYO. Every single weekend I have groups of 8-10 family members who come to visit- and this is our number one restaurant. Our family and friends come from all over the tri state area and leave like they just left the best restaurant in Colorado. The four sided fire place, and walls filled with beautiful animals give us such a Romantic and calming feeling. This restaurant is the way to make any birthday celebration feel magical. The word cafe in the name of the restaurant may throw you off because it’s nothing like a cafe. Btw I didn’t mention the deserts, which are absolutely incredible, and every piece can feed a group of 8. The outside of the restaurant looks like a beautiful huge log cabin in Colorado with a stunning wrap around porch outlined in romantic lights. The owner is magnificent, always so accommodating with the times we need, changing times for dinner if we are running late and allowing us to eat in the room or our choice. You will not be disappointed if you dine here!!

Definitely one of our new favorite places. Fabulous food and service-our food was even comped because it was taking so long to process our payment which was not at all expected and so very much appreciated. That certainly says something about how the owners treat their customers! Top notch customer service and quality-we will absolutely be coming back! Cornish hen special and ribeye just melted in our mouths!

After a ridiculously long wait at another restaurant my boyfriends dad called Fairview Cafe to see if we could get a late reservation. They got us in in a timely manner and sat us almost immediately after arriving. It had been quite a run around with the other restaurant but once we got to Fairview the night just kept getting better. From the second we turned into the parking lot the atmosphere went from “being on the water” to “being in the woods”, which was a beautiful change. The restaurant was gorgeous. The wooden beams and fireplace were so breathtaking, if your into that kind of thing. Our server Sarah was attentive, personable and had a great personality. During our short wait between ordering and the food arriving the owner came out and talked to us for a bit about his, his wife and the restaurants story. Then came the food! Everything we had was AMAZING but it was really all the things combined that made the experience a 5 star kind of night!

Such a great atmosphere whether you dine inside or out & that is the only reason I gave it an extra star. We have been here 4 or 5 times and always hope the food will get better, but it never does. The entrees seems to have gotten worse each time. The salmon was cold and actually completely raw on the inside. We order salmon often in restaurants so know how it supposed to be cooked. The side vegetables were cold as well and we heard another couple complain that their veggies were also cold. The stuffed mushroom app was actually pretty good & not cold. Seems the apps are the only thing ever decent in this place. Oh, I almost forgot, there was a good-size piece of hair in the bread basket, yuk!

I want to start off by saying, this was hands down the best gastronomic experience of my life (period). One day, my partner and I decided to go out and try this place. Neither one of us knew what to expect. I was awestruck with the interior of the restaurant. Very beautiful wood and a rustic fireplace great you with a warm welcome as you enter the dining space. We ordered a pear, berry, goat cheese and nut salad of some kind that was beyond anything I’ve ever tasted. Every bite was perfect. The size of the greens, the quantity of the berries, down to the thickness of the pear slice was such that every bite was shear heaven. Every berry was perfectly sweet. The dressing was exactly the right quantity. Our salad was not “swimming” in dressing, nor scantily clad waiting to be seen naked. In addition, it was only right that such a taste look as it did. The salad was plated beautifully. With intention in every detail. It was plated so that each bite contains all of the ingredients to ensure maximum flavor. A lovely start to the rest of the meal. Let me not forget to mention the bread, with whipped butter, honey, and cinnamon infused. I have never tasted such excellence. This brings us to the next course, the stuffed salmon entree I ordered. Delicate and tender, moist and savory. Each bite was a new experience. The flavor never became boring on my pállate. Every bite was better than the last. It was served with a side of rice and asparagus. The asparagus was a beautiful contrast of flavor and texture to the salmon. Crunchy, bitter, and light. The rice was unlike any I’ve had before. Tender like a risotto, however not at all mushy. It could stand alone as it’s own experience. It must have been cooked with drippings from a slowly roasted chicken, as the flavor was so deep and rich. It paired so well with the salmon. Finally, it was time for dessert. They had something special for us. A key lime pie. We ordered this with coffee. The key lime pie was tart and crisp upon first tasting it, and quickly transformed to a smooth, creamy flavor, finishing off with the sweet caramel drizzle and flakey crust. The coffee was beautifully earthy and bitter to cut through the plethora of unique flavor experiences happening from the key lime pie, so that each bite could begin anew. As I said, this was the most amazing eating experience I’ve ever had. So if you’ve made it this far in the review, thank you for your attention. I really felt I needed to highlight how significant and important each moment of this meal was for me. At this point, all there is left to say is thank you to the chef who made this possible. Thank you to the server. And if you are still reading this and are not on your way there now, what are you waiting for? Go live in bliss. You deserve it.

Went for a family dinner tonight and to say we were disappointed was an understatement. We had a reservation and our orders were not taken for over 1 hour. Another hour later our appetizers came out. The male employee we spoke to about the situation was extremely rude and hostile. Said there is nothing to be done. We received our check and it was handwritten with no breakdown. Overall very poor service and experience

Menu has had many changes since pictures were put on website. Nothing really srikes me. Last menu looks very appetizing this one may be ok.After we've had dinner , bread very good!! Chicken very tasty but tough. Sea food very good. All portions well sized. Lovely presentations. Salad missing goat cheese and apple, still tasty.

Just celebrated birthday with a group of 12. Ambiance was awesome. Setting soooo easy on the eye. Menu is a bit pricey. But well worth it. French Onion soup is excellent and the wild caught salmon with jasmine rise was delicious. Fellow diners had pork loin, rack of lamb, spinach ravioli, and all loved their meals. Beautifully decorated for the fall with a nice fireplace. Bet Christmas is great there. Check it out. You won't be disappointed...

This was our 3rd visit and our last. Such a cute place and a great outdoor area. BYO is a plus for sure. Food was always decent, not great, but decent. Was very cold inside as it was last time we visited but chalked it up to the huge vaulted ceiling which prob cost a ton to heat properly. We were the only ones in the place which is not a good sign (another couple did show up later, but that was it). The server let us know there were a lot of items on the menu that were not available, another red flag. Bread was actually very good & fresh & mushroom cap app was nice & hot which warmed us up lol. We ordered the house salad which was supposed to have olives, sunflower seeds & pine nuts. It had none of that, just a few yellow tomatoes & 1 strawberry sliced & a raspberry dressing which was way too sweet. Salad was awful & not anything of what was described. So we decided to split the entrée which was a seafood dish in marinara sauce over pasta. Was supposed to be clams, shrimp & crabmeat. Server said they had no clams so they would add extra shrimp & crabmeat. We got the dish and there was crabmeat & old shrimp & what appeared to be the end piece of a larger fish with the black skin still on it. I asked what fish that was and server said it was salmon. It was mostly that black slimy skin and was old. Were they trying to do us a favor by adding that piece of salmon? No idea but this made the dish awful. Did the cook think we were blind and not see this chunk of old fish that was not even supposed to be in the dish? At least we didn't get sick from it but will never return to this place. Maybe they are going out of business and that's why half the menu was unavailable and they were throwing stuff in just to get rid of it? Gee thanks Fairview Cafe for serving us one of the worst meals we have had in a restaurant ever. And we go out all the time to eat.

Fantastic place to dine. Very cool aesthetic both inside and out, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Menu is small, but not a bad item on there. I had a coffee rubbed strip steak special, and it was amazing. My wife raved about the fried goat cheese app. And dessert was incredible. Also of note is that this restaurant is BYOB. Highly recommended and we will be back.

I went there first time, tonight. The building was beautiful and impeccably clean. The menu was varied and wonderful - it was smooth hard to decide. The food was amazing. The server was delightful, helpful, informative, & attentive, but yet not intrusive. The Strawberry cake and Carrot cake was a very.nice topping. It is BYOB so be prepared for that.I recommend this gem to anyone, everyone. I cannot say enough nice about it.

It was our first time at Fairview Cafe, definitely won't be the last. Celebrated our anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place. The restaurant is beautiful, the fireplace is so pretty, the food was absolutely delicious and our server Joe was friendly and so attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better anniversary dinner. Thank you so much, we can't wait to come back!
