The Swarthmore Food Co-op is a wonderful neighborhood grocery store. They have a great selection of local products, and hard to find items. They have a great sandwiches, my favorite is Bird-On-A-Wire. The staff is so friendly and helpful and able to assist with any questions. Their beer, wine and seltzer selection is amazing, perfect for picking up some delicious items for a picnic.

A definite big plus is their location across from the Aria Mediterranean restaurant, that doesn't serve alcoholic beverages. So, pop over to Coop and pick a nice bottle to go with your meal!I also like how they offer a great selection of bulk foods. Unlucky that my short stay in Swarthmore doesn't make it worth the money to participate in their cooperation program to take advantage of the perks. Therefore, I only occasionally bought groceries there. They also have a good selection of wine, but unfortunately and understandingly, overpriced.

Was not expecting this little market to be so nice and we were pleasantly surprised. Well stocked with every-day grocery items like grains, produce, flowers, dairy, etc., as well as many fun specialty items. A nice full aisle of wine, beer, and assorted alcoholic beverages. Service with a smile. An overall very pleasant shopping experience. Highly recommend.

The CO-OP staff is wonderful. They are kind and courteous people that are always ready to help you. The CO-OP has really nice fresh vegetables and fruits that are often organic and local products and a great selection of breads. My favorites are their fresh made sandwiches and soup. Try shopping or having lunch/dinner at the Swarthmore CO-OP. You will love it.

I buy all spices at the coop and sometimes the cheeses.The Coop saved me during the pandemia: bought for me and took groceries out to my car for pickup.Great service. One of my zen spots.

Great place to pick up small and last minute items. Let me say I love this place for location and conscience after getting off train. Has great selection for bread, produce, general, meats ($$$) and some speciality items (cheese, etc.) but prices are off the charts. Also has great deli for sandwiches and pre made meals ($$) and salads, deserts ($$), wine and beer ($$$). I want to shop here more often for convience factor and supporting the community but the cost is prohibitive. Most if not all items are approx 25-40% (+/-) more (depending on item) than other chain markets-things I regularly buy at other stores. I have never picked up an item without being shocked and or dismayed by the price. Do not know if there are ever "sale" prices, have not seen any to date. Just have to balance convenience vs. affordability/price. There is a co-op membership but does not offer a discount for membership. It is crowded at times with college students and local residents on weekends. Has a inside and outside patio tables for eating or meeting friends.

Me and my wife had breakfast sandwiches I had bacon egg and cheese on bagel tasted good, And the wife had pumpkin grilled cheese with bacon and bagel they forgot to put bacon on it and she paid extra for it

Friendly and accommodating atmosphere. A vast selection of goods including fresh produce, baked goods, wine, fresh meats, seafood, handmade sandwiches, etc. The list goes on and on. Well-worth a visit and I can bet you, it will become one of your regular stops.

Quaint small-town store vibes but they have a lot of exotic items. The cheese selections are phenomenal and you can easily make home charcuterie dinners. There is a fancy dessert section with some gluten free and vegan options. The prepared foods are also very good. The coop overall is such a fantastic find!

It's my favorite place to shop. I love everything about this grocery store. The selection of locally sourced, sustainable and organic products is very good. The meat and cheese departments are the best around. The people that work there are super friendly. And the best part is that it's an 8 minute walk from my house. I love this store.

After you shop at the coop, it's hard to shop anywhere else. The produce is fresh and often locally and/or organically sourced. The meat and fish are top-notch and humanely raised. There are lots of interesting specialty foods in addition to daily staples. The prepared foods and sushi are really well done, and the bulk grains and spices are great deals. Best of all, the staff are really friendly and they all work together to make sure the lines are never long.

A very nice local grocery store.It is a very nice grocery store. However I am used to enjoying coops that heavily feature local, unique products. I did not see as much of that here.I would not hesitate to go back the next time I'm in the area, but I'd have appropriate expectations.

The Co-op is a community treasure. It's a wonderful small grocery store and has great meats from humanely-raised sources, excellent local cheese, dairy, coffee, produce, and much more. Their staff and service are outstanding. The store's curbside pickup option during the pandemic has been so helpful - easy to do online, and the staff or volunteers are always helpful and friendly in bringing your purchases out to the car. The Co-op is an integral part of our community.

Easy access, clean friendly, the place looks awesome at any time. The cheese guy has the cheese super organized. The vegetable guy keeps the freshest vegs in the front almost feels as if you grab some and when you turn around he already restocked.its worth going. The 🍣 is great too. You don't have to worry about corona here these people have it under control.

This places is a pretty great little grocery store, but there are some minor niggles. Its a smaller kind of specialty grocery store with higher prices than you'd see at a standard giant. $10 minimums for credit and debit.But anything they make in store is fantastic the food is overall great but pricey.
