I’m not afraid to leave a bad review when deserving of it, workers are nice and it really does seem like they’re newly stocking and re organizing. Give them praise where deserving.But… the closing of stores for these various technical issues is starting to get a little frustrating. Multiple billion dollar company. Figure out your tech. Stores closed cause BOTH REGISTERS are down today, no credit cards the other month.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but this location is now my least favorite due to the many times I've pulled in and it was closed, and also how many times customers couldn't pay with debit or credit due to loss of internet. After another bad experience last week, I will not shop at this location again. The register was closed and only the self-checkout was open. Some lady was struggling to figure out how to pay for her items and I'm not kidding, three of us were standing in line for over 5 minutes while that woman dug around in her purse for more money. I was tempted to pay her bill just so we could all check out and go home. Finally I went up to the counter and rang the bell. I hit it hard & several times because I could hear staff talking in the back and knew they were completely unaware there was a problem up front. Finally a staff person came up and helped that poor lady. Then she opened the register and took the next customer. As I was checking myself out, I heard that staff person complain to a customer that she didn't like being summoned by the bell like that. Well you know what I don't like? Whiny staff who don't pay attention to the customers. I work 2 jobs, one of which is retail. If I spoke to customers like that, or left customers to fend for themselves, I'd be fired. There are other locations for Dollar General. Skip this one.

I never thought I'd have to do this but I am really not pleased with the behavior of this woman from today, didn't catch her name but that's alright, I'll always remember her face. I was coming to checkout and she peaked over, then I was walking to the counter, she whispers "go to self check out, go to self check out" then she proceeds to have an attitude and groan, puts her hand on her head like she's had enough when I didn't even do anything. I told her specifically I needed to do half & half on 2 different cards and doesn't even listen, just talks to the other lady there, I am really not pleased with how the customer service is here, I feel that she is new, she is an older woman with glasses, short hair shoulder length, skinny build and an ignorant attitude. Fire this woman already, I believe she needs it because the way I was treated was not alright even while someone was standing there she was acting like this. I have worked in customer service since 2016 and this is not how you treat people. I think you people need to learn how to hire instead of just slapping a name tag on whomever.

Phone line is always busy. I understand times are tough for finding good honest hard workers but come on, answer the phone, I am a regular and I'm having a very important FedEx package delivered to this exact store. I forgot to leave my number but left my name with the older manager who promised it would be left in "Her" office, I don't wanna rate a decent dollar general store so low only because they can't afford the time to answer the phone or purposely leave it busy.

Dollar General shouldn't allow anti-democratic repuglicans to constantly pollute other customers ears with their Political Propaganda. Fox news has been proven to be a web of lies, hence the Billions of Dollars in Lawsuits against them. People that are spending their money at your store, should be able to do so in peace. Customers should start calling the police for them causing Disorderly Conduct. If it keeps happening I will.

I’d suggest not posting false hours on the eve of the largest annual holiday. It’s frustrating when you need to purchase something only to find out the store is closed despite the sheet of paper on the door clearly stating you’re open until 10 pm Christmas Eve. Otherwise, like the staff here and it’s generally clean and well stocked.

Honestly I've came to this store for a while the past few years and it just seems like there's New Management or the old manager is slacking, because a lot of shelves are not stocked like they used to, a lot of items are not where they're supposed to be. I live closer to this store but would rather travel an extra 10 minutes to the store in saylorsburg because it's always stocked and if you need something it's there. It's just frustrating because this store is 2 minutes away and when the cold/winter comes I'd like to drive here and get what I need instead of having to drive farther because this store is empty.

This store is very well maintained by the employees. They are very willing to help you to find the items you need. The management team is going above and beyond to hold to the Covid safety rules while trying to get you all of the cleaning essentials. I frequent this store at least three times a week and always leave with a smile on my face because of their willingness to help me.Jim.

In my last review I was harsh, store is disorganized somewhat, shelves are often empty however for the most part the staff is good. In retrospect it's understandable why the manager can feel overwhelmed at times short staffed, unexpected no shows for work, and other distressing occurrences never planned for at a good time. So, in fairness, for what is faced every day the manager is doing the best she can with what she has.

Literally the worst dollar general in the Poconos. Hours are different week to week, sometimes they just close because they want to. The isles are hard to maneuver because there’s always, and I do mean always, unpacked stock waiting to be put away. When you finally do find 1 out of the 10 things you went for, you have to wait at the checkout for someone to finally show up and help. Corporate needs to fire everyone and rehire people that actually want to work.

Usually this Dollar General is fine. I walked in at 8 pm on Saturday, July 6, grabbed my item and went to pay for it. I had to wait in a line for 10 minutes because the cashier was just cursing and being extremely obnoxious with her friends who were the customers. I am usually a patient person but this made me so impatient and angry. I was there after working so I do not need to be waiting for an employee to actually do their job and serve the customers respectfully and properly. I have never been so mistreated as a customer before. I cannot believe the amount of carelessness the other customers and I, waiting in line, had received. I do not usually leave bad reviews unless I feel the need that an employee is so preposterous that actions need to be taken such as firing. I cannot believe that a manager would want to keep an employee who doesn’t respect their customers’ time and patience. I also cannot believe a manager would be okay with an employee cursing for all the customers to hear. At my job, it is seen as extremely unacceptable and not allowed. There could have been kids waiting in line but the employee did not seem to care. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANY ITEMS IF THAT SAME EMPLOYEE IS THERE! I do not need to be interacting with an employee who is this disrespectful and rude to its customers. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS FOR THIS EXPERIENCE I WOULD. Also as I left the counter her one friend was standing next to her and just laughed while I was walking out because I made it very obvious to the employee that I was extremely angry.

This DG is almost right next door to where I live. I could walk there if I had to. They just remodeled the store and its very nice. Honestly this is my favorite DG out of the million that popped up around here. Cleanest. Friendliest staff. They don't have unputaway products lining the isles like others I've been to. The staff doesn't seem to hate their jobs like most of the DG's I've encountered. They rarely have extremely long lines like the one in Effort does with only one poor cashier on the register. If someone isn't present at the register bc they are stocking they have a pig to squeeze kinda like having a bell. A little unconventional but better than hunting down an employee to cash you out. Kudos to this DG for being one of the better once around this town.

This DG is in a great location and is right near where I live. It also has a good variety of items.But over the last 2 weeks it has been closing early or its not open at all. It is getting ridiculous. Please update your hours and stay on a schedule. It seems like the hours are changing regularly.

Love moat of the employees. There is an older women who works there who is super sweet!! She's always very helpful and says hi as soon as she sees customers. Its clean and well stocked. Prices are great.

I normally never have a bad experience here but today was bad. I understand the virus is making everyone on edge but haily the cashier was the rudest. She was texting on her phone as she slowly rings me up. The line is getting longer. I wait about 5 mind and she keeps texting even when the machine says waiting on cashier. I finally say can you get off your phone and finish my order? She was rude and said im texting my boss about another customer who had a problem... Umm ok well text after the customers. Leave. As im walking out another employee walks up to her and she says loudly" customers are so nasty today. I mean really. I turn around and tell her its not us. Do your job and i will be calling her manger. I understand its a scary time but she did not stop texting the whole time. Then she talks bad about me and other customers in front of everyone? She said in not the only one who had a problem with her.

So I had to do,a return it was only $11 and I paid wirh a debit card. Usually you can return for cash when you purchased with a debit since it came directly from your bank account. I would understand if it were a credit card obviously. I asked for cash back instead then Sherry or Shelly the cashier argued with me saying it's policy. Well I know the policy as I have also worked for dollar General and customer service for 14 years so her attitude in rhe first place was rotten. Basically it can take 5-10 days for the $11 to go back on the card now. It is inconvient. And it's literally $11. I have literally done dozens of returns and purchases at this store and have never had a problem so this is very sad.

They could improve their entrance appearance. It was really crowded with stuff everywhere right as you walk in. Just a little aisle straightening would serve them well. I did find what I needed!

This Dollar General is a really good place because they have the nicest employees. It's always a pleasure going in there and their prices are good too. I would definitely recommend shopping here.

Very messy store. Shelves are bare or a mess, things in the middle of the floors, boxes just piled anywhere.... Employees are helpful and nice when you can find someone.
