Rented skis for the family here and had a very positive experience. The shop was empty both when we picked up and returned, so we got great service. All of the equipment worked excellently and the prices were reasonable. The personnel on both ends were great. Highly recommend!

Okay, you’re in for a RIDE with this one!My friend and I were on a little East Coast girls trip. I live in east PA but had only been to Delaware Water Gap once.We decided to give this a go, the 6 mile kayak experience down the river (both in one kayak). We’ve both kayaked before but only on still water and for a short period of time.I’m giving you the context so you can judge for yourself what the experience might look like and be worth for you.We went right after hiking Mt. Tammany trail. We are each about 115 lbs and while physically active and relatively fit, definitely not fitness trainers or anything.Adventure Sports made the whole process easy peasy, we drove our car down to the ending point, they drove us back up to the starting point, loved talking to the owner and learning about the history.Then we were off! Let me tell you, it was hard. The wind was strong enough to push us back if we stopped rowing. BUT the water was pretty mild and it was just beautiful outside. It took us 1 hr and 50 mins to finish, of constant rowing. We stopped once for a video and picture.Anyway, if we can do it, you Can too! Worth every penny, we had a blast, would do it again! But it’s not for the faint of heart!

Fantastic experience, the staff very knowledgeable and ready to help you with all the instructions and information you need. They work so hard in making you having a great experience! I booked online for my husband and myself a 1day canoeing trip - the shorter one which was 6 miles on the Delaware river. We came in on the day at the office where we completed our check in and the staff gave us the first instructions on the trail and all the process. Make sure you come there 30 mins before the booked time. They have also a very easy map to understand the directions you have to follow on the river. We drove then to the starting point which was Smithfield Beach, a nice spot for picnic - there’s a fee of 10$ for parking there but the staff tell you before you get there during the check in and the parking is valid all day. Then we got to the starting point where we were given the safety instructions and we were answered to all our questions with patience and knowledge! it was great my husband and I could enjoy the river by canoeing by ourselves and listening just to the sound of nature, exploring the river from another perspective! And the freedom you have is priceless, you can use the canoe until 6 pm so you have plenty of time for exploring, having picnics or relaxing! Once we finished the trail the staff picked us up and brought us back to our car. The staff is extremely attentive and competent and very friendly. Thanks so much for what you do! This is going to be one of our most precious memory now !

I was really nervous about going kayaking for the first time. The staff was not only helpful in answering all my questions, but were nothing but kind, encouraging, and overall fun to interact with. I had a blast! I was even able to get a gorgeous picture! Thank you Adventure Sports! This will be one of my favorite memories that I will cherish.

We have a tradition: every year it's Adventure sports time :) Enjoy working with these guys! And don't forget to tip the drivers :) Cat/dog friendly!You can also reserve a campground and enjoy 16 miles river trip. Campgrounds are not provided by Adventure sports. You have to reserve it separately. But you can ask them how to do it.

Rude and inconsiderate workers, these people are constantly blocking the boat ramp for PUBLIC use. The only ramp specifically for rental companies is located in Smithfield. Not a tourist in sight just sitting there in there on their phones mocking us as we are slipping in the mud and almost injuring ourselves trying to get our kayaks up the hill past their van. When asked to moved they refused, called the office and the teenager they assigned “supervisor” made up excuses of why they are allowed to idle and block the PUBLIC boat ramp. Spoke the the park rangers and they agreed that this is an ongoing issue and they are in the wrong. If you want to waste your money with a company that has rude inconsiderate employees this is the boat rental for you!

Thank you for your response.Allow me to thank the gentleman at the riverside and the gentleman who drove us to the river.Having said that kindly allow me to respond to your comment which I believe you stated a good portion of the truth! However, your statement about my phone call is not founded and is not close to any truth!I wish instead of taking all the time to make false and fake conversations and excuses about my size!!! To just go and train your staff and fix the kayaks.I leave it to the people to make their wise judgments.Also I wish to add to the people that this river and the park is fabulous and deserve to be explored. YET, I do NOT recommend your business at all.——— ——- ——-Be carful! This company do not service their kayaks!We requested twin kayaks for the 6 miles trip. We reached the launch area and found our kayak number 274 is not adjustable to our size. We waited for another 10 min for them to bring another kayak. Big car with about 10 kayaks came. The second kayak they offer us was number 27 and had the same problem, yet they kept asking us to take it and it is fine to go out with such a problem in it! We refused. The 3 rd kayak number 100 blue collar looked ok and we accept it. To our surprise after 5 min into the river the kayaks’ seats started to move front and back! We could not hook them to anything to keep them steady. We looked back to see if they are there of course they were gone! We continue the 6 miles in the river in this manner. This company is horrible. When we came back I spoke to the lady how answered the phone I told her my feedback, she said OK! She did not show and compassion or empathy! In fact she acted as my feedback was not new to her. I told her I am not asking for refund I just want the company to fix the issue so no other person would go through what we experienced with them. Still she did not even said thank you! Wow.

Been coming here every year for 14 years for our annual overnight canoe trip. You won't find a more knowledgeable and helpful canoeing company. Just bring your gear and they have all the suggestions you need for camp sites, routes, and what to look out for. Over a dozen trip options for single day trips, 2-days, 3-days, and 4-day trips. Couldn't ask for a better experience. See you again.

We had a great time on our raft float down the Delaware River. Joelle was super friendly and helpful with check in! Our shuttle driver, Sean, was very nice! He gave us the interesting history of the area. We even met the owner, Mike. Very professional operation that we recommend to everyone! Thank you for the great day on the river!!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure to check in at the office before going to the park. People were not getting the email telling them this and were going to the park first. They will not give you a canoe without being checked in.

A very nice company that provides canoes, kayaks and rafts for rent. They will deliver your rental watercraft(s) to a selected location and pick you along with it in a location downstream. Good price for a great experience! Just make sure to pace yourself to arrive by 6pm to avoid late fees. We did a 6 mile canoe trip in a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Enjoyed every moment of it. Reccomending!

We booked this last minute the night before and decided to do the 10 mile Bushkill to Smithfield Beach kayaking trip. The address in your confirmation email makes the check-in office easy to find. From there, the very friendly staff provides you with great directions to your pick-up point. We parked in Smithfield Beach ($10 parking fee for NPS) and an Adventure Sport driver picked us up from our car and dropped us off with our Kayak and gear at Bushkill. The 10 mile trip was gorgeous. We hit a couple of small rapids, saw some cool wildlife, and took a break to rocky scramble on the shore. Other than the physical kayaking, the entire trip was hassle free.A word of caution, the current was not really in our favor so it ended up being ~4 hours of active kayaking to make the 10 miles, quite a work out! But we loved the friendly staff, the chill vibes, and the gorgeous views. Highly recommend!

Had the opportunity to take 10 Scouts down the Delaware River. Everything went as planned, Adventure Sports was great. From Scheduling to details to the day of, all went flawlessly. Gave the Scouts an additional safety talk prior to dropping us off. The pickup was excellent as they were there within minutes of our arrival. As a bonus the owner (who dropped us at the put-in) led our Scouts in the Oath. We will be back.

Holy cow, what a ride! We did 10 miles of canoeing, which was not as easy as I thought it'd be. I think I worked out muscles I didn't even know I had! Great time all around and although we didn't stop for a swim, that would definitely be something to add to the trip next time. After all, whether you pick a canoe, kayak, or raft, you get to use it for the day.

Had a good time Solo Kayaking, initially signed up for 10mile but if you are first timer please go for 6mile, it takes about 3hrs if you constantly row to reach the destination. It was a great experience as a first timer !!!!

I took a boy scout group on a 2-day, 20-mile trip. Everyone at Adventure Sports was amazing to deal with. Our reservations had to be adjusted, and they guided us through everything. They were extremely responsive to every question I had when making our arrangements. The day of our trip was totally smooth. Great customer service, no waiting. I highly recommend this company!

Staff at the front desk were so-so. Drivers were fantastic. The experience on the water was amazing. The worst thing was... we reserved before we went at 9:30 a.m. We arrived before 9:30 and went to the spot for the ride right after. The van did not leave until after 10:30 a.m. and the time we got on the water finally was 11:18 a.m. It was too much waiting around wasting time especially if you have small children who can't just w.a.i.t.

We rented two kayaks for a 6 hour trip down the river. One of the kayaks had a crack in the hull, but fortunately it didn't leak much. The paddles were heavy, like trying to use a shovel. We kayak quite a bit and this equipment is about the worst we've seen. The price wasn't too bad, so you get what you pay for I guess. The staff weren't particularly friendly. Still, it wantn't a bad experience. Just not worthy of more stars.
