Their prices are shameful!! Seeing the way they clearly take advantage of their local customers who have supported them and kept them in business is utterly disgusting! $7.49 for a half gallon of Rutters Half n Half is nothing short of stealing from people! I realize that Rutters probably set their prices (I wouldn't support them either), but Saubels doesn't have to sell their products!!

Always a nice place to shop. Can always find what I'm looking for. It is a bit pricey but convenient. I absolutely love Gabriel the cashier. He is always very pleasant to talk to.

I had to take back some cherries that were bad. Some had mold and all were brownish in color. Since I paid almost $10 for them, I felt it necessary to get my money back. The manager had to be called over to handle the return. He did not greet me, ask me what the problem was or apologize for the inconvenience of having to take time out of my very limited free time to return the cherries. I don't think he even made eye contact with me. Very poor customer service.

The butchers are extremely helpful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. All the checkouts were full. An associate came from the office and opened the register at the cigarette area to help with the backup

Great small grocery store that's family owned. It had a lot of Brands I haven't seen in any of my big chain grocery stores around me. nice family feel! everyone was super friendly and helpful

Decent little grocery store. Meats are always good. Produce is always fresh, better than Walmart and usually better than Giant. (Other 2 closest grocery stores).They have a good selection but not as wide as Walmart or Giant.Buy local and not from big corporations, if you can.

Great marketplace for most household needs. A variety of goods makes it a very handy place to have in town. They carry a good little selection of automotive goods such as oil and cleaners which comes in handy. The store is well maintained and very clean overall. It's organized very well and it is easy for someone to find what they need.

I found they do have electric carts for customers to use. I called when I got there and they brought one out to the parking lot for me. Also when done they said u could leave it in the lit and they would get it there. Everyone was very helpful, asking if I needed help. The Express line was very quick. They do have a savings card that is only theirs, cant use one from another family owned market. All in all it was very good experience.

It’s a nice little grocery store with nice staff.It’s on the way home so if we need something quick it’s easy to run in and grab it.It is on the smaller side so it doesn’t have the selection or specialty items the big stores have but then those take longer to get through so it’s a trade off depending on what you need.

Family owned business. Cashiers have always been pleasant and helpful. Even the young ones. Store is clean and shelves are stocked. How many grocery stores have their own butcher. Can't say most of this about any big box grocery store.

Saubel's in Stewartstown, Pa is really going down hill. They hired a female cashier I guess back in the summer of 2021 and she has to be the rudest person. I went to her to check out and paid for my groceries and was handed the receipt. I guess Saubel's is doing so good that they no longer need to thank customers for shopping there anymore. This cashier did not say thank you.My wife went to Saubel's today and went to this same cashier. My wife said hello and asked how the cashier was doing. Being polite. With that being said, the cashier did not respond with nothing. My wife then told the cashier that she was very rude.This is the second encounter with this cashier and both times we're not pleasant.With the times that we all are living in these days with businesses struggling, you would think that at least you would be treated like a person and not a number. Not at Saubel's in Stewartstown. This cashier has made up our mind, we will now shop at Giant. We have never been treated rudely like we have by this cashier at Saubel's.

Love this store and even my favorite cashiers so pleasant, when I was growing up many years ago, they only had 1 store in Shrewsbury, now they have 4 stores and same personal experience that was lost by other stores. And if I am looking for certain items, you bet I can almost always get it here. And items that see new on TV, check here 1st

Love to give my money to smaller businesses and saubels is my favorite. A side from the fact that it's very convenient for me, they have a great selection. Prices will be slightly higher, but they always have specials just look for them. The meat selection is always the first place I go, definitely visit them when they have their meat specials, you can really stock up.

Nice people ....too bad we can't have the same atmosphere at the Shrewsbury store...how do you take 2 steps away at the deli counter and forget what the customer ordered ??? Answer...TODAYS KIDS !!

Love Saubel's baked goods, but the Stewartstown location is now very limited in selection. Was hoping it had changed, but it hasn't. I debated on whether to shop the Stewartstown store or drive further to Whiteford -- definitely should've gone to Whiteford! No pastries at all and limited donut selection at Stewartstown. It's a real shame and very disappointing. Staff was friendly.

Super convenient. This is on my way home for work. I stop when I need to pick up things I forgot on our weekend grocery trips. Always clean. I would like to see the staff be more engaging with the customers.

The people at Saubels are always do nice. My favorite is Tyler he always smiles. Makes my shopping their worth it. Jackie Laincsak. Tyler was very nice. He always treats me like he has known me forever. Don t let him go he is a great employ.

I’ve purchased so many items only to realize they are expired and have to return them. I have to check the expiration date on every single thing I buy there and it’s frustrating to see how many items on the shelves are expired. I will say the meat always seems good and fresh but it’s a pain to deal with the other issues.
