I have shopped at Wiscoy since the store opened. All employees have been friendly and helpful and owner, Wanda, has been a source of support with a number of pets over many years. Truly, one of my favorite places to shop in the State College area.

I absolutely adore the selection here. I’ve got mice and most pet stores don’t cater this many safe high quality items for rodents. The prices are shockingly good here as well. I’ll absolutely be back regularly to find the next treat for my girls!

I won't shop anywhere else for my pet supplies. The staff and ownership are a pleasure to work with. They are friendly and knowledgeable about their products and about pets in general. My wife and I adopted two sweet and loving kittens, which Wiscoy helped the Clearfield SPCA to get them adopted. I would highly recommend Wiscoy to any pet parents who wants to get their furry friends the very best!

On the surface, it is a pretty nice store. Nice selection but way overpriced. Employees should learn the proper way to interact with customers. Girls at the counter spend to much time chatting while there is a line of people waiting to be checked out. Many times I have been the only customer in the store and the employees were off somewhere else while I stood at the checkout waiting for someone to ring up my order.

Love this shop! I stopped in to pick up some CBD dog treats one day when I was visiting State College and now I go back every time I'm in the area. They carry everything I need for my pup, cats, birds, etc, plus wonderful animal related gifts and stuff. It's also beautifully curated.

Really like the selection of toys for dogs. Only bad thing was, I had my dog in there and one employee came up to me upset saying I had to ask to bring the dog in because that could have ended bad. I'm assuming because they have 2 dogs there that must be dog aggressive? Idk! There wasn't an explanation and I think it's odd to have a risk there.... at a pet store... where pets can go in. Probably not wise. Otherwise I really like this pet store alot! My last visit, I didn't take my dog in. Which sucked

Local store with well educated, friendly staff.This is the go to place in State College for all your pet needs. They have a wide variety of supplies and staff who can best guide you on your purchase. It is also my one stop stop for wild bird food.Dog are welcome in the store, but please go in and ask first to make sure the shop dog is not loose and visiting customers. It only takes a minute but reduces stress of staff and shoppers. And remember if your dog is in the store no nose to nose greeting with other dogs, for everyone's sanity.They have special events such as Dogie ice cream socials in the parking lots in August and the ever famous Easter Biscuit Hunt in the spring.

They carry high quality brands and items, but these are not overpriced. In fact, they offer very reasonably priced solutions for almost anything you need for your pet.They also have unique and off-the-beaten-path items, which is what I appreciate so much about them. You’ll find lots of great gift ideas for your pet, yourself, or for pet-loving friends there. Absolutely great store whose super-friendly and helpful staff is always ready to help you.

My daughter and I are visiting from Baltimore and like to check out the pet stores because they carry a lot of things that we can’t find back home. From the moment we walked in we were treated like we were about to rob the place. Two seconds in the door, a young woman asked if we found everything we’re looking for. We hadn’t made it past the first shelf of products. After that every time I turned around there was an employee watching us and then finally the owner corners my 24 year old daughter, refers to her as a child and then makes a comment about how we were looking around a lot, mind you we had two baskets and our purchases were clearly visible. After freaking my daughter out, she hurries back over to me. Then the woman comes over to us and says the same thing to me in her weird, condescending, suspicious tone. I explained were from out of town and they have supplies we don’t. After that she changed her tune, but not once did they ask what kind of pets we had or how they could help or even made any suggestions, instead they asked why we were in a looking around so long. IT’S A STORE! IT’S CALLED SHOPPING! Had my daughter not found rabbit supplies, we would have gladly spent the chunk of money we did, elsewhere. Not a friendly or welcoming place and the first visit will also unfortunately be the last.

I lived in State College for 5 years with my black lab and visited Wiscoy regularly for food, treats, and other pet supplies. Every product in their store is super high-quality, and the variety and quality would be enough to warrant 5 stars. However, what makes this store even more special is its employees. Every person who works at Wiscoy is extremely knowledgeable, and it is easy to find someone who can help, whether it be with pet nutrition or advice about product differentiation. They greet customers with a smile and even remembered my dog each time we came in, which made us feel extra welcome. Over the years, we got to know lots of members of the Wiscoy family, and we enjoyed all of our experiences.We moved away from the area this year, and I am sorely missing my favorite store. My dog has a sensitive stomach, and I could always count on Wanda, Dee, or the other team members to help me with finding the right food or figuring out next steps for his diet. When his stomach started acting up after we moved, I called Wanda in a panic and she immediately reached out with advice, even though I was hundreds of miles away!! Her passion for animal nutrition and her wealth of knowledge is incredible.Wiscoy was/is truly such a life saver for us and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Wiscoy is the most incredible pet store you will ever visit. The staff is kind, caring and knowledgeable. Wanda helped us work through litter training our very reluctant kitten two years ago and the whole staff has now helped us to work through how to entertain our large breed puppy with a broken leg. They are our go to for advice on problems big and small. We are so grateful for their service to our community!

This is seriously the best place to shop for pet food and supplies in town. The customer service is amazing, the staff are well versed in their products and their recommendations. They and their suppliers have incredible return policies and very high quality control on their food products. They would even allow us to return this new bag of food we bought for our dog if he didn't like it. I will never go back to Petco to buy food or any other product if I can. We've only had to make a few visits so far but we have always left happy and feeling like each visit was better than the last.

The professionals at Wiscoy are wonderful to work with, helpful, courteous and genuinely interested in finding answers to your pet questions and needs. The are so much more than pet food store. It is in their very name "For Animals." I have shopped with them for over 25 years, and cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are new to the State College area and are looking for nutrition and care products for animals, you should start on Aaron Drive with Wanda and her team. They serve dogs, cats, horses, and many other animals.

This is the best place in the area, frankly the best place I’ve ever been to, for the needs of your pet. Sure, the selection is great, but that’s not really why you should choose Wiscoy; it’s really about the people. We have been going to Wiscoy ever since it was recommended to us by our vet as a place to speak to highly educated people about our puppy’s nutrition. Since our first visit, at which we were taught and supported on how to care for our puppy with bowel issues for a solid forty minutes, we’ve not shopped anywhere else. We feel like the people at Wiscoy love animals and want to help so much more than they want to make a dollar. This is an excellent resource for Centre County.

Very knowledgeable and kind staff. My dog loves this place. Half of the very large treat section is comprised of a wide array of bulk dog treats, priced by the pound. The bulk treats are not only an excellent bargain, but seem to be of high quality.

Went into Wiscoy today and witnessed an older woman employee with longer hair encourage a woman to bring in her dog (who had never been in a store before) and then absolutely disparage her after he had an accident (which she tried to prevent but it was too late). The older employee told her that it was ridiculous that it had gone “twice” in one day and then she asked about her whole morning routine and what she feeds him and basically accusing her of being an irresponsible pet owner which is absolutely ridiculous.I have to believe that a store that allows dogs inside understands accidents happen.The woman also then quickly ran outside after being yelled at to “go go go outside!” and came back in within a minute or two to see the older woman dramatically cleaning up the accident and she politely said that she would have cleaned it, but the older lady was like “we don’t have time to wait!! ” and started with her accusations and was being SO rude and condescending.As someone who this wasn’t even directed towards, I was disgusted. That should tell you something. To witness the humiliation of this woman in front of an entire store— absolutely reprehensible. even as a witness it’s enough for me to never ever shop here again.I hope the woman who was affected today has the courage to post a review and finds relief that I thought it was ridiculous the way she was belittled & humiliated as if she was stupid & abusive to her dog over an accident.

Awesome place for all your per needs. They carry things for cats, dogs, horses, birds and more. With their high standards I know anything I get here for my pets can be trusted! This is the only place I go to get things for my dog now. He has started eating one of their high quality, high percentage digestibility foods and his coat has gotten dark and so much healthier.

We love this pet supply store. We sways get our dog treats here, partly because we trust them to be safe and partly because you can buy as much /little as you want in a bulk bag. However this last trip, we ended up adopting a cat. They almost always have one or 2 available.

Great customer service. Every staff person I have met is ready and willing to help! They Have a variety of Oxbow products for rodents (guinea pigs) they carry many quality items that you cannot find at Petco. They also adopt out adult cats, and have very well behaved dogs that hang out at the store. It is a small business with a lot to offer.
