Its a good place for shopping not so much overcrowded.Check out is also available never had to wait.Just a little bit expensive than most of the mall.They have personal spacious parking lot.Just they need to include halal option also.

Pretty nice grocery store. I wish they had more fresh seafood options, but overall they have everything you need. Very convenient for me because I live right across the street.When I used to do Doordash I remember I had a couple orders here. There was a couple times where I couldn't find what I was looking for and the workers always helped me out. Grateful for that.

I love the way the store people welcome and greet every time I am there. It is a very cheerful and helpful community store feeling.I love their bakery.This graduation season, I bought tons of cakes from them, and all the time, I requested them to customize note on the cake. They always obliged. Many times, it was Kim who designed icing and writing for me without any additional charges!

Weis parking enforcement gave me a parking ticket for parking during the snow storm when the roads were unsafe to drive on. The ticket and envelope were literally buried in snow and soaking wet since they put a paper ticket on the car WHILE IT WAS SNOWING.

Employees are great! Food is at least 10-15% more than other stores (giants), inventory sucks, senior predatory "digital coupon" requirement (not terribly unique. All grocery stores pray on the elderly since so many items require a "digital coupon")I've tried at least 30 times to teach my grandmother how to use her smartphone and she can't learn it, so to only Gove discounts to boomers if they can figure out the complicated process of downloading, registering, collecting, then using the phone to use said digital coupons. Y'all should be ashamed.I try not to shop here...

Your the only store who sells Strawberry milk. It's hard to come by and the pb 🍩 are the bomb. Everything is so cheap. Plus u carry Wise brand. No one else does (wish u would bring my Wise Onion rings back). U had em then gone. There also hard to find. Ur staff is really nice. Thanxs

THIS PLACE SELLS EXPIRED RAW MATERIALS!!!Been shopping here for little over a year, but the quality of product deterioated significantly these days. Bought a pack of chicken wings and next day when I opened it, it sells expired, where it is supposed to be expired (i.e., best sell-by date) in another two days... I always saw some meat looked unfresh, but they are still shown on the shelves. This place needs some serious inspection, but in the meanwhile, don't buy raw materials there.

Look, it’s a convenient little grocery store, but I’m kind of disappointed in their bakery. My sister and I decided to get a little peanut butter cake for our girls weekend. We got home and decided to try it. To our surprise it tasted like a dry sponge with some toothpaste on it. 8 dollars down the drain. Oh well, we thought, you can’t win them all. So, we decided to try again the next day and get some delicious looking Whoopie Pies. We got home and eagerly opened the box. We grabbed a pie and took a bite. Oh no, they taste like black licorice. It tastes like if someone were to make black licorice dog food. The texture was atrocious and the flavor even more so. 6 dollars down the drain. I didn’t expect the highest quality. I didn’t expect the best flavor. But I also didn’t expect whoopie pieified licorice. I just wanted a little chocolate and vanilla pie. Not even milk could save this.

Some of the best pizza for the cheapest price available. The main deli worker is spectacular and will make you feel like a valued customer. Even when he is swamped with work and has been working for the entire day, he is still incredibly respectful and cheerful when helping customers

Not my normal shopping location but I was very happy with my experience and returned to get savings card. I am very new to this location I have been going to this store once a week for about 2 months. I am very happy I found this place durning my State College visits. I find get deals and really look forward to all the fresh fruits, vegetables, and organics baby food I find.

In high school I had breakfast here almost every day for at least two of the four years. I used to eat 3 donuts a day... and no, I don't weigh 300 lbs. "Ghetto Weis" as it is locally known is BEST known for having the best donuts (and apparently soup) which is far superior to the other Weis markets in the area. The employees are always nice. I like shopping here. Some of the quality of fresh items, especially the meats, are hit or miss. The store brand stuff other than stuff like potato chips isn't really worth your time. The takeaway here: come have some donuts.

Good selection, decent salad bar but the prices keep rising! Many items are cheaper elsewhere but the store is pretty clean, great hours, huge parking lot. It’s one of those places that wants you to use a shopper card for any discounts. They do carry Pacificos bread which is the best! Currently this location does not carry wine and beer, so if you wanted you could go to the location on Rolling Ridge!

This is a great Weis. 24/7. Very convenient for a late night snack. Comfortable setting and it's nice that it's not always packed.I do agree that they could make the inside look a bit more appealing. Overall nice grocery store.

One of the most diverse selections on the south side of state college. There must be a big Asian community in that area because I promise you they have stuff there you want find anywhere else in town. Great for normal shopping and when you wanna try something new. The older members of the staff are always polite and very helpful. The kids working are just kids so ya. Not much to say.

There is never a crowd like at Walmart. It is easy to find things as the only change they have made was to add beer and wine in a corner of the store so all the aisles stayed the same. This is the store on Martin Street.

Best and cheapest produce in town. I can find dragon fruit there for $2.50--anywhere else it's $6! Love the precut veggie medleys--great for tossing in a roasting pan and under $3.

Tonight was my first visit to this particular Weis store, and the store personnel were exceptional! Aaron saw me struggling with many items and went outside to bring me a cart...and John, the cashier, was so nice and attentive. The store itself is organized and clean, but the people make it worth a return visit!

May 23rd 2020I agree with the negative comments below. I am not going to get into all of the details. I will say that I have been repeatedly mistreated here by their employees over a period of time, so when I go inside to get something I try to refrain from engaging with any of their employees. However, if I do not respond to their communication the way they want me to I am further mistreated. If a customer doesn't want to speak or respond----respect them anyway. There is probably a good reason they do not want to speak to you. Maybe just maybe they feel the bridge is burnt in that way. Leave them alone and don't mock them if they don't respond. If your kindness is genuine your words should be a gift anyway.

Weis Markets on Westerly is my favorite store in State College.What's not to like? Produce and meat are fresh and well stocked. Customer service is outstanding. The cashiers are the best ... and there is great service in every department - deli, produce, meats, bakery, and dairy.There is an extraordinary selection of international food ... Wowza!The store is clean and parking is easy.

Like all Weis markets in State College you're going to pay more here on just about everything, as compared to the 3 other big chain grocery stores in town. This market just happens to be local to my apartment, so I shop here quite a bit regardless. This store is older, so the selection of fresh fruit and meats is limited, but there's often very good deals to be had on nearly out of date goods due to the low traffic.

Weis Markets recently remodeled their checkout lines “to serve you better”. They now have a bunch of self-check-out lanes and only a few lanes in which there is a person there to scan your purchases. When I was there 4-4-19 at about 11:00, there was no one working in the non self-checkout lanes. The nice woman who has been working the checkout lanes for a few years told the four customers who asked “the person who is assigned to the checkout lines is on break now”. Really!It is clear that this Weis wants you to use their self-check lanes to save them the problem of hiring part time people to run their registers.

I have shopped at this Weis Market for all my adult life - some 45 years. My Weis Gold card regularly saves me at least 20% and two days ago with careful shopping I saved a whopping 35% on $106 worth of groceries. I love this store and the people who work there. Even during construction, I have always experienced very helpful employees who will go in the back and bring out things that may have run out on the shelves, or check the price of an item. The produce is fresh and varied, especially with a large ethnic graduate population in the apartments nearby. I trust Weis brands, and some are much better than name brands (canned tuna, for example).

Being the closest store to me, I can't knock the place too much, however, if you're a student like myself, you may find yourself shopping at any hour of the night, and to that effect I have to ask, why Weis? Why do you never seem to have any registers open? I don't mind using the self checkout when I'm grabbing a few snacks and caffeine to help me write a paper, but when I actually have no other time in the day to do my grocery shopping it would be nice to have at least one register open so I don't have to go through an entire cart myself. On that note, I don't have any complaints besides that, the staff is always very friendly and helpful, and I like the extreme diversity of options available to me as a consumer, I have yet to see anywhere else such a variety, and it's very likely I'll continue to keep making this Weis my number one pick for my grocery shopping in the future.
