I have never in my life gone to a home improvement store where employees were SO incredibly involved in the customer's experience and SO kind! (that's not an exaggeration!)I don't know if the management team or corporate instilled this environment, but whoever it is needs a HUGE pat on the back.We visited this Home Depot last week to pick up a bathroom fan/light and every SINGLE employee went out of their way to ask us if we needed help. We wound up staying and browsing the Christmas section for a while and it was just a stand-up experience that I knew I needed to share. The gentleman at self-checkout was just THE sweetest man ever. When we were about to check out, my 2 year old asked for a lollipop so we were about to ring it up and he paid for her lollipop instead!I am a Realtor in the area and will definitely send clients to this store for items they may need for their home. In the world we live in, often filled with negative vibes and doom and gloom, this was so refreshing and truly deserves 10 stars.I also know exactly where I'm going next time I personally need home improvement items, and it is not where I used to go! Thank you, State College Home Depot, for making your store an environment that gives your community something to talk about! You get a trillion stars from me!!!!

Went to Home Depot today and was amazed at their selection of home remodeling stuff they had compared to Lowe's. Every department I went to had someone right there to help. Not one time did I have to look for someone to help me. Dan in the lighting dept. Jeff and Tina helped in the bath dept. and Todd helped us in the pro dept. checking out. Lowes might offer a little better discount, but customer service was hands down a 10+. I will always drive over the mountain to shop here!Ps. Every department I passed someone was there to ask if I needed help! Not many stores like this any more.

“What an entrance!” This Home Depot has quite the nice front entrance and façade, better than any other Home Depot I’ve been to. The inside of the store was set up like all the others, with me requiring potting soil and pots, so I took a quick left and went into the greenhouse and I was there, simple enough. The self-checkout stands were closed when I visited, but they had plexiglass covering them so they shielded you from others with concern of the virus. The Christmas things were out already, with the animatronic Father Christmas standing tall next to the trees. They served my needs well, and even had the cheap rubbish pots I was hoping for, so that was perfect. They earned the five stars, cheers.

Our delivery men were very careful and very thorough with delivery of our new refrigerator and stove. They removed all of the plastic wrap covering the appliances and made sure we were satisfied. They also were very polite and efficient. These items are very heavy and they coordinated their efforts to do the job well.

These guys are the best. I have a PRO account, and they always have the info I'm looking for or if I'm not sure what materials I may need. I get exclusive deals, and everyone is helpful from the top down..... so much better than Lowes any day of the week.

Purchased a riding mower. The initial transaction was processed by an excellent associate who had exceptional customer service and was very pleasant. Unfortunately, due to some unknown mishap my order ended up being cancelled. I was extremely upset and disappointed but in the end another associate made things right and got me my mower. Home Depot’s customer service center needs serious help and professionalized training. They’re not very helpful when answering calls or directing customers to the right department. In person customer service is more helpful however. The other staff around the store is usually more helpful, but finding someone for a specific department is typically difficult most times.

I love that in 2 minutes in the store I had two employees ask if I needed help finding anything. I spent an hour in Lowe's on Friday and had to search out help. My one complaint, though, is they don't take Samsung pay or Apple pay. Since I didn't have my wallet I had to put my items back. That would be okay if this were 2010. However it is not okay anymore.

Got to be honest, never been a fan of Home Depot because of other HD locations and because we have a business/contractor account at the big L across the street. However, after several visits (because the big L could not help) I have come to realize just how awesome this place really is: helpful staff, fair prices, and a great selection! Now we have an account here too. Also, the place is always clean! Ty

I recently remodeled our kitchen, guest bath and now master bath. I ordered floor tile for the master bath at the beginning of January with an arrival date of Jan. 27th. I hadn't heard anything on the 27th so I visited the Patton township location and spoke to the service the desk on Feb 4th and said it hadn't arrived and that someone would contact me on the 8th. I never received a call and finally called the pro desk and they told me my order had arrived on the 27th but was refused since it was damaged and they didn't know who's order it was. So I had to settle for a different tile since my contractor was installing it on the 10th of February. I called Home Depot customer service and asked to speak to a manager and the representative said she would take my complaint and someone would call me. Over a week later I still haven't received a call.

This is our closest HD and I really wish it was closer. I prefer them over Lowe's. They always have a great selection of whatever I'm after and prices are good. When items need ordered they usually get in within a week and make the pickup process smooth.

Bought vinyl laminate floor. Had it layed by a professional. He had trouble laying it. It wasn't going together right. He finally got it done. 2 months later.it all started coming apart. I called the store. Got put off 3 or 4 times. They gave me the number for the factory that manufactured it. They didn't give me the right number. I looked it up myself. Well, didn't get an answer there, left a message. Well, needless to say they never got back to me. I called home Depot again. Of course, they told me it was the installer. If I wanted I could pay $300 for someone to come check it and see if the installer was at fault. It wasn't. Where it came mostly apart was where I had a desk chair. Needless to say, they wouldn't do anything about itIt is total junk!!!! I won't buy anything from them again

The customer service at this store is unparalleled. Home Depot in State College is always my first stop for hardware or home goods. The staff will go above and beyond to help you and they are very knowledgeable.

Helpful staff, good selection. Nothing special just a Home Depot. There was a guy running through the store but he was doing good pace, about 7:23/mile to be exact. I won’t stop someone from getting their exercise tho.

Bill, the manager, did everything he could to correct a flooring order that went wrong. He was professional, accommodating and sincerely wanted us to be happy with the changes we had to make. Renovations arent easy and things rarely go right. Somehow our order got delayed an entire week and it messed up our contractor's schedule. Bill price matched the new floors we had to pick out and made sure we had as much as we needed and when we needed it. Mix ups happen all time, but how management deals with it makes all the difference. I will continue to shop at Home Depot over any other home improvement store because of the treatment we received today. Thanks Bill!
