Animal Kingdom in State College is magical! I have one baby niece and another due in a few days, and I have bought almost every one of their birthday, Christmas, and New Baby toys here (and if not here, then at their partner store, "The Growing Tree", which is just up the street from here!). The girls who work in both stores are wonderful and the selection of clothes and toys for babies is excellent. Their teddy bear selection is unrivalled! The Animal Kingdom has clothes and caters for 0-2/3 yr olds mainly, while "The Growing Tree" has toys for older children. I cannot recommend them enough! :)

The Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite stores in stat college! Lindsey and her staff are always super helpful and friendly. The store is always clean and organized and they have done an amazing job during the pandemic. We have loved taking advantage of curbside pickup and local delivery during the closings. We highly recommend this store for unique and lasting gifts for kids of all ages! Thank you for the wonderful love you put into your store!

This store is amazing! The owner Lindsay, who also owns The Growing Tree, has adorable clothes, books, stuffed animals and more! It's my go to for a new baby, or outfitting a 6 year old. The staff is always helpful and kind - I encourage everyone to shop this store before supporting the big box stores, you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful experiences EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Over the years, we visit the store many times for gifts for the kids and friends (or ourselves) and have always found the store impeccably clean and the staff extremely helpful. In the past few months of 2020 since the pandemic, we have ordered items for local delivery, and they were dropped off on our porch promptly and with ease. In all my years, I have had nothing but great experiences with them. Highly recommended!

We love The Animal Kingdom! Have ordered from them time and time again. Both on line and in person. The Animal Kingdom was actually the first store we visited when we moved to the area. My kids still talk about the magic of the store and still love their items! The staff always makes the experience that much better. Even for us non tech savvy shoppers since COVID ;-) always quick to respond and help with any troubles.

I live in a small and obscure rural California town. I stumbled upon this stores online shop while looking for a specific Usborne book that was sold out everywhere in my area. It was $8 more on Amazon. Not to mention it wouldn't have shipped until October. I needed two copies for gifts and found them here. Shipping was fast! The store seems to have a lot nice things. I also ordered two t-shirts for my daughter at a decent price. I definitely will add this shop to my rounds.

Best toy store in state college area!Not only is ownership wonderful but the employees go above and beyond!I was having trouble ordering something for a new baby in my family and explained to the owner Linsday what I wanted and se helped me find the perfect gift. My family has since ordered three of the same gift we loved it so muchFeels like family when you walk in the door and Linsday (the owner) wants to make sure everything is perfect.Disregard the negative comments you may have seen because this is the best toy store in the area!

Well LINDSAY saved my life early on in the pandemic and she continues to offer excellent customer service and excellent products. I remember in April, being quarantined with my three kids and Lindsay being there to drop toys off within an hour sometimes of me ordering. I’ve lived in State College for over 30 years and Animal Kingdom and the Growing Tree are a staple. So grateful for both community centered shops.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Clearly I am not the only person that has had a problem with Lindsay. My order never arrived and I was told that it was my fault. I emailed Lindsay and she did nithing to try to help me track the order or offer any help. She instead blamed me and insisted that someone stole my order. She has since stopped replying to my emails and has basically stolen my money. Take your chances in store but NEVER order online... your items will not arrive.

Great local shop, friendly owner, a must visit every time we are downtown with our toddler.The store lease will not be renewed and the animals will have a new home in the other downtown store Growing Trees (same owner). After the move, we will have a new must visit destination when downtown 😁

I made an order with Animal Kingdom. I got everything in a timely manner, but there was a mistake in my order. I wanted a red car, my kids favorite color, but I got a yellow car. So I sent it back on October 20th, spending $8.70 in postage. At this moment, it has been 10 days and I have never heard from this business. I emailed them 6 times for a follow up and called 3 times. I finally spoke to a Colleen (sp?) who said Lindsay Williamson, the owner, said she sent a red car to me on Monday. I got a feeling this Lindsay is lying just to get me off the phone. Today is Friday. Colleen was not able to give me a tracking number.Lindsay owes me a red car, $8.70 for postage, and an apology: DON’T ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE. Just causes a headache.UPDATE: basically, after 5 minutes of posting this review, I got an email with a tracking number Which show the red car was sent on Tuesday. I got it on Saturday. There was no apology given in the email nor a note in the package. I usually would not care about the &8.70 but after being treated so rudely, I want it back as well as an apology. I am never shopping here again.

I spent hours during my childhood roaming this store. I am so happy to see that it is not only still in business, but it still stocks beautiful stuffed animals and toys. The website during the pandemic was easy to navigate and the customer service was top notch!

You know what? I hate this store. I hate it because every time I walk by it, I have to enter. And each time I enter it, I have the urge to buy everything.It is a great store for all kinds of stuffed animals. They have some unique brands and animals that can be hard to find. Bears? Bunnies? Rhinosaurus? Elephants? Octopus? Starfish? Yes. They have them all.

HORRIBLE customer service!! Order somewhere else!! Or take your chances!After placing my order and waiting 5 days to get order confirmation or shipping details I called the contact phone number from their website and a person named Lindsay answered, who is a part of this small family business with obviously no interest in resolving any issues that are made on their end. From what she told me my order was at a post office waiting to be picked up by me to what I responded that I won’t be able to go to the post office and it will either need to be delivered to my address as promised or I will need a refund and I asked how come I wasn’t informed about any of this. She raised her voice and told me that’s it’s not their fault. Again, I never received the tracking number or ANY information regarding this order at all and wouldn’t know anything about what’s happening hadn’t I called. Not only Lindsay didn’t bother to apologize once for the inconvenience she proceed to tell me with raised voice “ ma’am, thats your post office’s problem” and told me to call and figure it out there. She also hung up on me 2 times during the conversation with a rude extremely unprofessional “byeeeee” and hasn’t been answering the phone after.I’m sure the toys they sell are great quality but their service is way far from it.

I love this store!!! I will be doing lots of gift buying for our sweet little grandson. We purchased a raincoat that has dinosaurs on it~ the dinosaurs change colors in the rain, sweet Max will love it and I can’t wait to give it to him.

Very cute place to explore, even for adults, I think it's sort of relaxing. I bring my nephews here and find that the toys aren't as high-priced as one may think. Been shopping here since I was young.

Purchased over $100 of merchandise between my 3 family members and one of the $3 items didn’t make it into the bag. Went back to the store after realizing it was missing and clerk acted as if I was trying to pull one over on them. Won’t be back.
