I am new to the area; just moved here in December from the Philadelphia area. You don’t realize how many new services you have to find to replace those in your previous area. I had a wonderful groomer who never disappointed, And I was a little nervous about finding a new one. But I took a chance with Petco in State College, and Ashley, who groomed Cody, did not disappoint me. He looks great. He’s a cavalier who got very shaggy because I kept putting off finding a groomer. But now he looks like his old self again and I’m very happy with the service he received. Kudos to Ashley!

Claira was very pleasant, my dogs were scheduled pretty far apart, she called me when there was a cancelation so I could get the dogs in back to back appointments. They both were given back to me smelling good, and looking fantastic!

I took my Austrian shepherd to Petco for a bath and deshedding at the State College Petco and my dog did Not get de shedded at all. I took a brush to her as soon as we got home and lots of hair came out very easily. We paid 85.00 for a bath and two back paws nail buffing.When I called, their explanation was they don’t use deshedding tools for a service called “deshedding.”They said the bath was the deshedding service.Make sure you understand completely what you are paying for because I could have bathed my dog myself and saved 85.00.

I have had mediocre customer service in the past at this Petco. Sometimes they close for no reason, sometimes they are not polite and other times they are rude. This time, however, both ladies who helped me couldnt have been more friendly and more kind. They were talkative and fun and were very interested in good customer service. I am hoping this is a new crew with a new customer service mind set. I was pleased with my service all around today!
