Owen went above and beyond to help me get my large rescue dog a suitable harness. The dog tried to escape, and Owen offered to carry her out to my car--an 80 lb dog! This store always has the best, friendliest employees of any pet store in the area. Bryan, too, was helpful and patient with the antics of my newest pet addition.

When you have had enough with the bigger chain supply stores & prefer more of personal experience for your pets choose Pet Supplies Plus in State College. I think it’s cool the have a bathing section to bath your fur baby. I want what’s best for my pups because they are my world & Pet Supplies Plus is there to help

Honestly, I am devastated. I spent $100 not including tip to get a half-groomed dog back. I know my dog is nervous around groomers but this is the only time I have ever experienced something like this. The groomer was so nice and she seemed confident she could get his matting out. What I got, however, was a dog with a shaved back, a bald spot on his head, a ratted/uneven face, and his belly completely untouched including the matting around his neck. Not only was the cut uneven all over but it was like she just forgot to do the bottom half. Again, she was very nice and I know my dog is anxious but this cut is unacceptable. I wish I said something when I was there. The photos really do not do it justice. I added two photos to show you what he looked like before.

I have been coming pretty regularly now, I didn't even know this store existed a few months ago. I now come here for all my reptile and small animal needs. Everytime I come in Quinn has been nothing short of amazing in helping me find exactly what I need, informing me on proper care and even going above and beyond to help me. I recently got a rescue ball python and I brought him in and Quinn helped me get multiple layers of stuck shed and eye caps off of him. And helped me set up a game plan for the little guy to get him healthy again. She is super knowledgeable if you have any questions about reptiles or small animals and need supplies this is the store to go to!

Took my dog in for a nail trim and ear cleaning, and not 2 minutes into the appointment, my dog was screaming. Groomer cut the quick, then told me his bleeding nail was "like that beforehand". What? She then told me to buy bandages. She didn't apologize or clean the wound or anything. Do not take your dog here. They are not trained well enough to keep your dog safe.

I have checked numerous times for a highly rated very well-known dog food that is never carried or out of stock in your store. It seems none of the employees know anything about the food or the store itself. I think better training of the employees is much needed. We can’t keep switching our dogs food because you can’t keep it in stock.

This is a nice little pet store. The owner was working and he is just so nice and welcoming. I love when I see owners working in their own stores. They prices are a little high but other than that it's a great pet shop!

This is a two part review. The blow dryers at the self-serve dog wash are terribly terribly weak. They don’t do anything. As expensive as it is to pay to wash your dog there The dryers should be a lot better. That’s one of the reasons I don’t like washing my dog at the house. I already bring my own shampoo and conditioner but they do have some there. The rest of the store has an amazing selection, prices are higher than online but it’s nice to be able to run in and grab things. they have actual shopping carts for those of us who buy gigantic bags of dog food. Lots of staff turnover so not usually knowledgeable. The perfect place to go. If you need to grab a toy, harness, Ilots of leashes to choose from, all kinds of dog food, and treats.

This pet store is great! I get all my freshwater fish from here and the supplies I need. The staff are super knowledgeable about fish so if you have any questions just ask. I also get my cat treats and food here. I've never had any issues going to this pet store. The staff are awesome! Great place to shop! 😀

The State College pet supplies plus store is the best petStore in town! They have excellent prices and their autoship option is amazing. The owner hand delivers the food himself. I made a mistake and signed up for 2 autoshipments. When he arrived with our second shipment, I explained the situation and he offered to take it back to the store and refund the purchase. It was completely my fault but he was very understanding. 5 star ownership, I will never shop anywhere else for pet supplies.

Great selection of fish, HOWEVER I bought a few fish from here, brought them home and they ended up giving my entire tank a disease in result of killing most of my entire tank. I will not buy fish from here again. This cost me a lot of money and my favorite fish gone. I had to tear down and start from scratch to kill the disease that over ran my tank. They need to treat and quarantine ALL fish when they get them in to assure this does not happen to customers.

Good selection of cat food with fair prices.I initially reviewed this store with 4/5 stars, but my girlfriend and I have shopped here more frequently since my initial review and we have been consistently impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the store's overall approach at customer service.In particular, we recently tried a new kibble for our cats and found that we couldn't get any of them to eat it. The store was willing to accept a return and recommended another food which our cats liked much more. We really appreciated that level of customer service, and plan on shopping at Pet Supplies Plus more moving forward!

LOVED IT HERE! I just moved here and first went to petco to try to find my lab food that would be okay on her stomach. The workers there were mean and when I asked her what food would be the best she said “no idea” and walked away. After that I came to pet supplies plus and the workers asked if I needed any help and guided me to what food would be the best. They were very educated. The man who first helped me find what food to use had black hair and was very friendly. And after a young woman with blonde hair (looked like she was in high school) showed me medicines that could help with my dog’s stomach. I was very surprised at how even their young workers were very knowledgeable. Great experience!

Really nice, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Beautifully stocked, so many nutritious dog food options for my puppy. Customer service was out of this world. It took me an hour to leave the store due to my son taking in the entire enormous selection of fish! Lovely!

They've only been open for a week, but I predict they'll quickly become the "go to" pet spot in SC. Immediately welcoming, it is well lit without being harsh. The aisles are wide and well stocked with a vast selection of whatever you can think your pet will need. Definitely the best selection of options anywhere near here. The have a self serve pet bathing station as well as grooming options.The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and prices are competitive to other stores online and local. I will most definitely be switching to them for my pup's shopping needs.

PSP has become my preferred pet shop in the area. They are always very well stocked with a large variety of products for both my cat and reptile. It's well organized and clean too! I never have trouble finding what I'm looking for. The small animals and fish they sell always look healthy, which I can't say about other stores I've been to. Staff has always been friendly, eager to help, and excited about my pets.

Very horrible. I placed an online order to be picked up. When I arrived, there was only one person in the store. She apologized several times and tried to help me find my items. I came to find out her coworkers (a male and female) left her alone, in charge of the store. When her coworkers came back, they smelled like weed. Children have no work ethic nowadays.

I have taken my rough collie (my baby, Libby) to Pet Plus 3 times for grooming and LOVE the groomers.....they do exactly as I ask and make the process as enjoyable as they can for her (she's a bit spoiled).....it means a lot to me that she's always excited to go in to see them! I would very much recommend them as your next groomer.

I haven’t gotten my pup groomed here, but I do love the store itself! Very clean and easy to shop. The staff I’ve encountered has always been very kind and helpful and you can tell they genuinely love all the pups that visit. I find myself trying to find excuses to stop in and shop for my boy at this store.

Great location, with accessible parking lot. Really clean, updated facility.I also only feed my dog organic food, and they have a lovely wide assortment.Also, I was very impressed by the fish selection. I almost splurged and bought one of their very impressive glowing beta fishes!

Ok store...but workers always seem uptight and rude. And there was a dog running lose in the store the one time. Some people don't like dogs...or have kids who are scared...dogs need to stayed leashed!!! I hate Petco, but I'd go there over this store...workers are friendly and no dogs running around.

DO NOT BUY FISH FROM HERE. I bought two fish from here and one of them ended up having a parasite that killed that fish as well as transferred to my other fish. Later on after we removed it, we found another parasite on our other fish. That fish died as well as killing three of our other fish. We just spent at least $100 buying products to try and save our final fish, one of the products was unavailable because the store was using it to treat their tanks. I went into the store recently and saw that a lot of the fish had ick, fin rot, and more parasites that the staff didnt even know about. I lost my fish to this store and I put a lot of time, effort, nd money into them.

I had all 3 of my dogs groomed here recently. A Bassett Hound and 2 Corgis. I highly recommend this business. My dogs are so soft and clean. Anytime I bath them at home they continue to shed but you can pet them now without the shedding. They were brushed out really well. The groomer did a really good job. 👍

It was a nice place to find. While I don’t agree that they have a huge selection of fish they do take care of them and I had to get another angelfish while there. He’s so little so I named him Tiny. I’ll be getting my other fish there too.
