Perfect example of declining mall society. There are still some stores here. Not sure how the place stays open to be honest.

This mall is nice but fading fast. A few stores I popped into weren’t even staffed. I wish the best for this place. They do have a few nice stores that are packed with sales.

A few good stores: Dunham's, Gabe's. But otherwise this mall is pretty dead.

They have a few anchor stores that are price competitive. Hopefully, it will gain more internal stores. The parking lot could use a refresh.

This mall is the only one in the area, and is considered small. It does offer ample walking area if you are a mall walker and like to do laps. There are not many stores left including no anchor stores. There is still an American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, and a Spencer's. There are still some smaller localized stores like a dance academy, A fencing school, a small pet store that carries live animals, and a craft store. There are a couple major stores left including a Planet Fitness, Gabe's, and a Dunham Sports. There is no food court, only one pizza place.

When the Macy’s got closed there is almost nothing left. Nothing is going on at the Mall. Whoever manage the Mall is doing nothing and never did that is why the Mall is dying. It was a beautiful place long time ago. Sad so very sad

I was pleasantly surprised by this mall. For it's size and the size of the community, it is very nice. It is extremely clean and you could tell that they are trying very hard to make it an enjoyable place to shop. While we were there, they were setting up for some sort of Harry Potter story event and they had little stations set up around the mall. I would not hesitate to return.

I don't even know what I can say about this place. It's really empty. Rural King is great, Dunham's is pretty good, and I still head inside for the Shoe Department, but for real... It is a ghost town. There are almost no stores left.

This is quietest and most relaxing mall I've ever been to. Understand, there aren't many stores actually open. Also I'm pretty sure there are usually more fish in the pet store than people in the mall. However if you're looking for a relaxing, climate controlled indoor space in State College the mall is great.

GreatBooks, I like going there. Clerk's are friendly, and there's lots of books to choose from and if you can't find one they help you find it. It's small, but clean and feels good to be in there. The mall is great, but needs more business. Amazon makes me angry taking away businesses from people. I don't like Amazon, because you can't try on clothes before buying it or finding the right size.

Went to Nittany mall just few days, there isn't very much to see, not many stores left open. Few remain open - pet store, which I don't care about guinea pigs, etc.Other than that, it's pretty quiet and not so busy, great for walking around the mall ! Wish there were more stores available.

It hurts me to give the mall such a low rating but if I'm being completely honest it isn't fun to be there anymore. There aren't many people and though they try to have fun events there to lure people in, there just isn't enough spirit to keep it going. There are only 3 food places left and one major department store. The few stores that are left are usually voId of life and that's really sad because they are stores that people really love.I'd love to see more chains take an interest to try and save what was once an amazing place to spend the day.

I have always enjoyed going to the mall but so many stores are leaving. It is such a shame as it is a great location, easy access from the highway, and free parking. I hope the owner and township are looking at making some changes to bring businesses back.

There is so much work that goes into a trip to the mall for pictures with Santa. The last thing we expected was to show up to a nearly empty line and a "closed" sign. Apparently the manager decided to work through the hour break and close early. This ruined our plans and several families that showed up on time. The website says to show up before 430 and we were there at 350. We could have paid $10 extra for a 430 reservation and still been denied service. The manager came out and told us they were closing and left us and 4 other families there to talk and call customer service while the shop was shutdown. Our four kids did not enjoy the sight of watching Santa walk away without talking to them. It was heartbreaking. So I am leaving this review as a warning to any family trying to visit Santa this year at the Nittany Mall. Go when they open and don't expect the managers to care about your kid's experience visiting with Santa.

My family loves walking around this mall. However many of the stores have gone out of business making it somewhat sad inside. I'm hoping this mall is able to survive the next few years. As a youth pastor they have been very helpful coordinating events but again seems like it's dying...

A mall that has been around a long time, seen lots of store changes like many malls but it is still around. They seem to be keeping up with the place, some vacant store spots but not bad considering the market we are in today. A lot of clothing stores, jewelry and things geared towards kids and teens. Some food options but you must stop at Auntie Anne's Pretzels (up by Sears) there are some kiddie rides in that area as well.

No wonder this place has been going empty and that they can’t hold a business. The communication between them and the vendors is horrible. Multiple vendors have no idea what time the place opens or closes. Also, the Santa that was supposed to be there didn’t show. Waited close to 2 hours. The employees at the mall had no way of getting a hold of him etc. If Macy’s leaves, that’s should tell you something as well.

Not many stores, no variety. They need to put more stores in and more people would come here! It looks very old fashioned. But workers are very nice that work here! The cleanliness is pretty good too. But obviously, some things could be just better. :/ not much to say. Nothing good, but also, nothing bad to say. Overall, 3 stars.

I had a pleasant experience when getting my photos at the Santa booth. The workers exceeded my expectations and quickly moved through the line. They portrayed excellent customer service even though other customers weren’t happy as they came after they were closing. They let the customers know they were closing and put out a sign. Some customers removed the sign and continued waiting. I then witnessed the customers berate the workers. I was shocked to see this behavior over a few pictures. I couldn’t be more pleased about the photos, I will be returning if I ever need pictures taken again!

95.3 percent of the shops are vacant. A dance studio and fencing. High quality instructors. Only two stores keeping that place going is Dunhams and Victoria Secrets. Macy's is 99.5 empty. Best thing you can do with the Mall is turn it into a homeless shelter. Only chance to save it is put a strip club in it.

What can I say about the Nittany Mall? I used to love coming here as a child to see all the different shops and selection of stores. We could spend hours looking around here. As of right now there might be around a dozen stores there and the bon ton is closing, Sears just closed January 1st 2018. There's more empty shops then there are stores.

Things that need improved/considered to make the mall a success again.-More big store chains to return-Food court (that'll bring in the crowd)-Events (Once Covid isn't a focal point of our health)-People need to spend less time shopping online if you can get it locally.-Support what stores are already present in the mall. This mall isn't what it used to be and if there isn't a change soon we probably won't have a mall anymore. So many stores are closing out and have moved even before the virus, that says a lot about the management and our local shoppers.

The mall is clean and well- maintained, but the selection of stores is minimal. The only anchors still in business are Macy's and Dunham's. It seems every time I go there, half the stores are boarded up. On the bright side, it is always rather empty, so you don't bump into other shoppers. Shop staff are very friendly. The next nearest mall is in Altoona, so I am grateful to have this one in State College.

Where did everyone go? Only your basics are here. I wouldn't go here to shop. I would only come to this mall as a specific store destination. Like American Eagle, Bath and Body Works, Kays, Macy's, and Victoria's Secret! This mall used to be booming with weekly entertainment and be 90% filled. Why are we parking in the farthest parts of the parking lot and there isn't anyone in there. Get the employees to park at back of the lot. No wonder nobody comes here!

The mall itself is alright. Its a shame so many stores are closing. You don't have many options of stores to choose from. Some of the stores are very nice but things seem pretty pricey. If you are with a group you will enjoy the mall more than if you by yourself. The food here is pretty scarce for options.
