A clean place to shop, I go there because of huge ready food options, and fresh fish, Salad! Always a great option for quick grocery stop, shelf always full and a clean environment. They have a great cheese collection! I prefer Walmart for price, but giant for quality!Love the flowers!

Lacking big time on customer service. As product is taken off the shelf, the product in the back is not brought forward so the customer can reach it. If that shelf is near the floor, the customer has to get on their hands and knees to reach the product! I informed a store employee the dispenser for the sanitary wipes at the entrance was empty and was told it wasn't his job to fill it! Shopping baskets are left stacked up at the checkout lines instead of returning them to the entrance for the customer. I ask a store employee the location of a product and was told to ask someone at customer service because she didn't know. And someday, that stupid robot is going to injure someone because it runs into people!

Giants has good deals on produce and has good quality produce as well. The only thing I do not like about them is the carts are so noisy. The wheels make rattle noise and it is super annoying. Please buy some new carts with better tires.

Worst Giant I've ever been in. Barely any food in stock, dirty, tons of empty space, and no employees. Had to wait 5 minutes for the person in charge of self-checkout to attend to my technical issue because they were chatting with their coworkers. They also leave "fresh" baked bread under the hot lamps for at least 3 days at a time.

Love Giants fresh produce and awesome selections. Usually have sales on most everything too! Super good looking tomatoes from Maine today, and they were picked through as well/not many left.

Giant is very clean and staff is helpful. I just wish they had bread and milk in the front of the store instead of the last aisle because that is what most people frequently run in quickly to get.

A solid store from a solid chain! I love Giant, and this particular location is great. No complaints at all which means it must be kept running smoothly. Products are always in stock, sales are frequent and good, employees are competent and kind, and the store is clean and organized. And they also have Flashfood! This is in every way a terrific location where I enjoy shopping every time.

Bought crab legs because there was a sale sign but the cashier told us the sale ended 3 days ago, yet the store knowingly still kept the sign up. When did they stop honoring the price they advertise?

Love the ready prep foods and staff are also super helpful, they make the shelves look great so you can see what is or isn't in stock pretty quick! Updated to add that the clearance/quick sale areas are pretty great too!

Convenient, decent selection of organic and clean products. Their online shopping service is more accurate and user friendly than Wegmans. We shop here weekly. Used the Nature’s Promise boneless skinless chicken thighs to make slow cooker chicken chili… worked nicely and was yummy!

I like it's working hours until 11 PM.When you got in trouble during self check out, the staffs are slow to catch it. I saw many different staffs, but all of them are slow to monitor customers at the self check out and help....Good deli section.Meat (pork, beef, chicken) quality is good

I hope this gets out to the bakery staff at Giant North Atherton St. We ordered cupcakes for 11am today for my son’s first birthday party. I came early to see if I could find a smash cake after a failed attempt to make me own. I asked if the cupcakes we ready since I was already there, and the two who were working said they could have them ready in a few minutes if I had some shopping to do. I wish I could remember the guy’s name who was working on them. He came out and found me in the store to let me know they were ready. And they looked AMAZING! I’m grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and quality. Thank you so much for making a stressful morning turn into an exciting day! I hope the two of them are working in the bakery for all of our birthday parties for years to come.

We really like the fresh produce they offer as well as the packaged meat which is never left on the cooler shelves for too long. In addition, there are several presentation cases that their on-site butcher keeps stocked with excellent cuts of meat as well as seafood. This exceptional service results in the prices being somewhat higher than their competitors, but this is not to say that the prices are outrageous... to the contrary, their prices reflect a reasonable cost to benefit ratio.In addition, based on the number of shopping points you accumulate (these points are based on the total amount spent on your grocery order.) The points accumulate each month, and you can get "10 cents off" the price of a gallon of gasoline based on the total points accumulated per month.

Been coming here for 20 years now. Best grocery store in State college imo. Selection is good with both cheap options and more premium choices as well. Produce is very fresh. If you need it more fresh, go to a farmers market or grow it yourself. Use the giant coupons and offers whenever possible and be sure to get a bonus card. You can save a lot.

GIANT IS AWESOME! The employees are always very friendly. The produce department is wonderful although the price for precut pineapple is a little expensive it is well worth the price. If you want to treat yourself to a delicious dessert try the tiramisu! The meat department has a great selection of hamburger and chicken. The seafood department has a wide variety of choices we had fish; shrimp and scallops and they were absolutely delicious. The more points earned the cheaper the gas.

For the most part this giant is very nice to shop in. However you will wait anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes for deli meat which is totally unacceptable. They have plenty of people working back there they are extremely slow and very rude they have been absolutely rude to my wife and I on numerous occasions. So we do not get lunch meat there anymore we go to Wegmans or Walmart. I have also gotten moldy produce from here before as well as outdated meats. So beware. South Atherton location seems to have fresher produce fresher meats and a much more efficient deli. Northern Giant should take notes from them

I enjoy shopping at Giant. The store is clean, well laid out and has a great selection. Occasionally, things are sold out, but that is usually do to an amazing deal and they will be restocked shortly. I wish the would link with Ibotta, so that my accounts could be linked through my bonus card.

This location is definitely the better of the two in town. The selection is marginally better but there’s a lot of misses. My family eats a lot of chicken and the rotisserie and fried are always dried out and never moist. Check out is always tedious. I have had bad luck with friendliness. I guess they are tired or just don’t care. Last time someone was loading my cart and they just left halfway through the job without saying a word. I didn’t know if I should start bagging because the cashier didn’t say anything. When she finished scanning she didn’t move to load the cart so that was my queue to step up and finish the job. I don’t mind doing it, it was the not knowing what to do that bothered me and I hate being the cause of a line.

Clean, bright open and organized store with variety of stuff for all daily cooking. Good fruit/veggies, meat, wine and cheese selection. Friendly cashiers (so far, haven't encountered an unfriendly one). They have cute buggy car for my 3-year-old. Great discount on Haagen Dazs ice cream for my 8 and 8 years-old. Plus reward points for me to gas up or convert to cash to spend in the store. the library drop box outside the door saves us a trip too.
