Went there to find a decent winter jacket, while the selection was somewhat limited to several brands I did find one that was what I needed and it was on sale. Being that we in the throes of winter, I guess their inventory was already quite picked over. Regardless, what they had on hand was pretty nice.

Great place to shop. They have a large variety of both men and women " clothing etc. The prices are great! Huge selections for every sport.

Went to this store because my local Dunham's didn't have the gun I wanted in stock. So I drove 40 minutes to this store because the Web site said it was in stock here. Went inside and my wife needed to use the restroom. No employees ever looked up from their tasks. Some wore headphones on the job. Finally got someone's attention and found the restroom. I am now at the gun counter and nobody is around. My wife traveled around to get someone, and finally had to go all the way to the "front" register to get someone paged. After 20 minutes of me standing there, someone finally came. He acted as though we were bothering him. He immediately told me the gun I was looking for was not in stock. I showed him the gun in the case. After 10 minutes of going back and forth, he finally went to the back room to look. Sure enough it was there! Suddenly his attitude changes, and starts to become quite helpful. I'm told to go to the "front" of the store to pay for my background check and bring the slip back. Is the front of the store at the outside entrance or the mall entrance? Obviously I went to the wrong one first. Now I'm standing at this register waiting for the cashier to get off of her phone. After several minutes of watching her text and switch to different apps, again never looking up, I finally knock to get her attention. She says, "I'm here!" Really? No kidding. Anyway, the rest of the transaction went smooth with the gun counter guy helping me get ammo and a cleaning kit. Then he checked me out up "front" and we were on out way. At least the price of the gun was worth the aggravation we had to endure.

So I go into Rural king I see ammo I'd like to buy, go to Dunhams see the same ammo quantity and type for a few dollars more, sign on the door says best price guaranteed. I say well Rural kings has it for $24 you have it for $26. employee says we'll do $24 I said that's rural kings price not the best price... Needless to say I went to Rural king for my ammo who truly had the best price to begin with. Would've bought at Dunhams if they had the brain cells to say ok we'll sell it for $23

Where do I begin? Over my numerous times there... There's rarely anyone on the sales floor, so getting help is nigh impossible. When you do get help, most of the employees have no idea what their inventory is and seemingly no idea how to figure it out. I've never had a question answered in the store, as they seem to be the most clueless people on the planet. And pricing is the farthest thing from competitive. A simple little Daisy Red Ryder is OVER DOUBLE the price it is anywhere else you can find it. Most places have them for about $30, and their SALE PRICE was almost $70! This is beyond pathetic.

This is one of our favorite places to buy guns. The prices are very comparable or cheaper than we have found in other stores, and they will hold a gun for you if you have to travel to get it.The staff is knowledgeable.&& I always appreciate not being treated like I don't know what I'm talking about just because I'm a girl.Keep up the good work!

Large selection of firearms but the staff is not knowledgeable at all. However, they are very friendly and willing to help as much as possible. The managers also seem nice and know what they are doing. They will also match prices. Saved $300 because they were willing to match a price I found. Lots of golf and other gear as well. Nice large store with a lot of gear.

Decent selection of guns, but after waiting back there and two clerks walking by and not asking if we'd like to see something, we left. Maybe we weren't wearing camouflage, so were invisible? Not sure, but simply horrible, non-existent customer service. We've been to other stores and this is by far the worst. Never again.

Stopped in for some basic camping items and had questions. The staff acknowledged us and answered our questions completely. They also offered to check the back for an item in a specific color we wanted. They checked and when they didn't have it, they got the floor model down for us. What great customer service!

Nice store but their website absolutely SUCKS-no online store stock inventory or ordering capability at all. Throw in that their online coupons are only good for items at full retail, if something is on sale or marked down they won't let you use them, and you have a fairly poor experience.Oh, and their cashier's rather loud comment to another employee at the registers?? "Oh Jesus Christ, just deal with it!" - Classy establishment.

Nicer than the Altoona store. Some good deals (if you look for sale and clearance items) regular prices are a little high. Decent variety of things, although less fishing tackle than when they first opened. This seems to be the trend with all the local stores though.

Nice store but they lost my business today. I wanted to look at a kimber micro 9 pistol , I ask if they would take the trigger lock off so I could see if it fit in my hand ok and they said no. They lost a thousand dollar sale from me today as well as any of my future business.

Good prices on their generic brand jeans and Hanes hoodies and sweatshirts. Thr roof of the store has lots of leaks so watch out for buckets on the floor under drips.

Definitely my favorite sports shot in the SC area, staff are helpful and friendly, lots of selections, price of some goods are 15%-20% higher than the cheapest price you can find for them, but there are often store special and coupons that will really cut down your price, I bought a 269 dollar rifle there a few weeks ago and ended up paying 199 for it because there are discounts not shown on the booklet. Store is clean and nice, has more firearms and gun accessories than dick's.

Dunham's in State College was a great store when it first opened. But, over the last year the cost of their items and their selection has absolutely tanked. The shoe and golf areas have no new items and are in complete disrepair.They are charging double or more for items sold in stores that are in the same mall!! The price gouging and customer service is abysmal!! Also, holding select products for "friends" is a shady practice at best.

I've given this place business since they've opened regardless of their high prices to support the dying retail experience. I went in today to get my fishing license only to be told they don't sell fishing licenses and I should go to Walmart or do it online. That's exactly what I'm doing from here on out. I'll do my business at those places if you wish to outsource your need to exist. If you're a sporting goods retailer, fish and game licenses are services you must offer. I expect this review to age well when they start closing stores and inevitably file for bankruptcy in the coming years.
