Love this store! Always surprises on the shelves. You always find European treasures on aisles like Kuchenmeister cakes, German chocolates etc. Furniture, kitchen sections helped us a lot for finding great prices on brand items. Our dining table is from here, got a great size that fits our place with great chairs. Excellent employees as well. Miss Bill who worked there long time and retired.

I bought a house was having a tough time finding a nice quality comfortable smaller sized sectional and a mattress. Someone recommended Big Lots and I’m so happy I went to check it out!A lot of sectionals at other furniture stores were massive and the smaller ones on Wayfair or Amazon were cheaply made and had many bad reviews. I wanted something that would last for years to come. Big lots had the perfect well made comfortable small sectional for only $800!I also found a very comfortable hybrid mattress for just $500.The variety isn’t the best, but if you’re like me and just want a simple mattress and aren’t into the $4,000 fancy gel foam sleep member type mattresses, this is the place for you!They had many other household items and even a nice variety of cleaning supplies and basic grocery items. This would be a great starting place to shop if you are moving to State College or are here for college and need to get your dorm or apartment ready.The sales associates were also wonderful and super helpful!

No electric carts for the elderly and physically handicapped. Years ago Big Lots use to be affordable and they had a lot more items. Not anymore. Most items are overpriced. Even with their sale prices, it’s still expensive. I had just came from Walmart and they were packed. When I came to Big Lots I was surprised to find only a few customers. Now, I know why.

Love this store and pretty much everything in it. Sometimes it is extremely overpriced, for instance, a simple metal small shelf will be 70 or 80 dollars and is actually super flimsy or falling apart. 🤔 but you can find good deals in this store and I've purchased furniture there before, even. I had a sectional, it lasted about 2 years before I needed a new one. But for 800 bucks that was what I expected, so it served its purpose for my family. Overall, I gave it 4 stars because I love this store and will always go at least windowshop! Not their fault I'm poor 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This store is awesome, you can get things that you might not find elsewhere. Great prices and the gentleman that helped me tonight, was really pleasant and friendly. He even put the heavy items in my cart. That was a tremendous help, because I could not do it, ( due to health issues ). Again I really appreciate the help and the courtesy that the employees had shown!!

The only positive experience about this trip was our cashier, Garrett. The woman who seemed to be training/helping him, Karen, was miserable. She was so rude to not only us, but Garrett, which was so sad to see. If she is in any type of management position, she should be demoted immediately. Disrespectful and blatantly rude. Only giving 2 stars because Garrett was so nice and doing so good. I would give him 5 stars alone if I could. Hope he starts to getting treated better.

Been looking for the Broyhill autumn cove gazebo. Call big lot in state college which is 2 hours away..they told me they had 2 in stock..drove to pick it up, manager said we have a waiting list for this....!! If you say you have 2 and don't ....quite putting advertising gazebos when you don't have them....never again

Don’t expect to pick up what you ordered online. Big Lots takes no responsibility for claiming items are in stock only to be told otherwise (“sorry we forgot to mention that your item is not available when you called us earlier to confirm pickup”) after you’ve purchased the item online. Be aware if you plan to have an item(s) delivered. You are working with a 3rd party carrier that again Big Lots take no responsibility over and there’s a very good chance they won’t deliver your items and definitely not in the timeframe they state online. Overall one of the most terrible store experiences I’ve ever had. I guess if you’re buying cheap furniture, you should expect cheap customer service!

Bought a couch back in February. Now is May. Cushion zippers are broke and foam is coming out of the cushions. And there return policy is 30 days in its original packaging. Real freaking nice. Bought a couch that's garbage.

I Walked out without my merchandise, one person at the Regester and voiced to his customer that the person in front of me walked out because she was inpatient, rather than call for help, and then i also walked out .

I purchased a sofa and love seat from big lots. Less than a month old it starting pilling up from the fabric. I contacted them n they agreed to exchange it for a different set. When I did so the assistant manager Melissa screwed up the return exchange which set off a list of rude comments. She was extremely rude and nasty She literally shoved my love seat that I had just purchased in exchange into the bumper of the uhaul truck I had rented. I have never been so disrespected in any store the way I was by her. If this is the kind of employees they hire I will never purchase anything from them again. This was at the state college pa Benner Pike store

!!!!!!!! Please do not shop here if you expect any sense of common decency or respect!!!!!!!!!! The dark haired female sales Assosciates that sells the couches and fireplaces is one of the rudest and most inconsiderate people that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Never in my life have I had someone treat me with such utter disrespect. I don’t know about you but I value my money if your do too, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!! or at the very least do not purchase ANYTHING from the dark haired female sales Associate. The fact that she still has her Job after her repeated negative treatment of customers is astounding. You can go through the stores comments and see that she has treated others like this as well, she’s has zero disregard for the customer end clearly she is not held accountable for her actions.

I shop at Big Lots ALL of the time and I am always extremely happy with my purchases. Until recently, when my family decided to purchase a couch from you. We didn't expect it to last forever, but this thing was falling apart within the first week. Springs popping out of the bottom constantly (giving no support when we sit,) and holes and tears in the fabric. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this purchase and would advise that customers stay away from the furniture department.
