I used to be a loyal customer of this Best Buy, that was until I decided to make the mistake of trusting geek squad to install fans into my PC. They offered me a deal to sign up for their program so I could have money off of my service, which I paid $180 for.The next day, they call me and tell me that they couldn’t install the fans because of some reason that didn’t seem to make much sense. (I bought all of these parts AT that specific Best Buy). They tell me they can’t install any of the parts for some odd reason, so they charged us BEFORE the service took place $180. Now after going home, and trying to use the PC is when the real issues started to ensue. 1. They installed all of the original fans BACKWARDS and made the cords all messy. 2. they used little to no thermal paste! And 3rd of all, they forgot to plug in my AIO pump. Please take my advice and do not trust these people with your technology. They are uneducated. I PAID THEM for them to mess with my PC and do NOTHING for me. Also left an inappropriate comment in the receipt of my service in my email. All photos included to back my claims. Do not trust geek squad here. They are lazy, and quite frankly, uneducated. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I stopped in because I was looking to purchase a photo printer and after searching online, Best Buy had it in stock and their website showed they only had one left in inventory.When I arrived there were two workers at the door who greeted me promptly and asked I if was looking for anything in particular. It wasn’t busy in the store and I like looking around to see if I can find items on my own before asking for help from an associate, so I shared I was only looking at the moment.I promptly found what I was there to purchase. The website inventory information was accurate. I proceeded to the front of the store and had to wait to check out for about a minute since one person was in front of me. Another associate stepped up to ring me out, and they were friendly and quick.Overall a pleasant shopping experience.

I needed to buy a new TV and I wanted a better one with good graphics but I wasn't sure what my options were. Their sales people were able to explain it to me and get me the absolute most bang for my buck. They were all Very knowledgeable. Even helped me load it in the truck.

I bought a Mac Book less than 1 year ago. Had lines on side of screen and sent it out. Paid $100. I pay for extra warranty. Came back and said it was cracked on inside. It has NEVER been dropped or misused. Then was told it would be $500+ to fix it. I have been a card holder for 30 years and ALREADY PAY for extra warranty. Total disappointment in how they treat LOYAL customers. Will have to rethink purchasing anything else from Best Buy in the future. I gave 1 star because it won't let me give any less.

Always friendly staff, usually knowledgeable about the products they carry. If they're not, they know who is. We buy our cell phones here and insure them through total tech. While I would say their prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, they make up for this by selection and knowledge (ensuring you buy the right thing the first time), as well as device protection plans that are often useful. Their repair service is excellent, and has repaired my laptop on more than 1 occasion, extending its life.

I may never step into a best buy or online shop again. Whats it take for someone to ask to help? 10 minutes in the TV section with employees looking at me with no customers around. This happened twice in Selinsgrove as well which I'll also review. I'm DONE

The times I have been in Best Buy gives me the impression the employees are only interested in collecting a paycheck and not serving the customer. Every time I have been in the store, there would be 4-5 employees standing around talking about their personal lives and not serving customers. When I would ask an employee for help, their response is "that's not my department" and send me elsewhere. Once I tried to purchase a piece of electronics and the girl at the checkout could not ring up the sale unless I gave her my phone number. How absurd! I went across the street to Walmart, purchased the item and no one ask for my phone number. I can no longer be a patron of Best Buy.

Worst customer service ever. Bought a tv and arranged to have it installed in home. Was given a TWELVE HOUR appointment window. At the end of that window, no one arrived and no phone call . Tried calling the local number listed to see what happened. Well, phone calls are outsourced overseas. After an hour on the phone - several hang ups and disconnects - finally had someone inform us that they couldn’t help and they would escalate the call to managers . I could expect a call back within 48 HOURS - 2 days ???Thanks but no thanks . Frustrating isn’t the word. Took the tv back and got my money back.A five minute phone call to the local store could have solved things . Instead , a waste of an entire day . I have nothing good to say .Best Buy … you aren’t the only game in town. I’ll go elsewhere. Hope others do as well.

Went in looking for a very specific TV. I approach the gentleman who was busy stocking shelves and asked where I could find it. He dropped what he was doing and quickly looked up the item I needed and said there was one left. He could not find it on the sales floor so he checked the back room. While checking the back room he got another associate to help him and they both spent 10 minutes looking for the TV. There was also a third associate looking as well. They finally found the TV on the top shelf in the back room and swiftly got it down for me. This type of customer service is amazing and hard to find. So glad I chose Best Buy for my purchase!

Been trying to contact local store but calls are routed to a call center. Not sure where this call center is located. Certainly not in PA. What a joke!I was told to travel to the store if I wanted to speak to someone.

Don't go to this Best Buy location in state college I got left hanging over a long time to get any assistance whatsoever, and even when my neighbor wrote out checks wrong and I helped her corrected it still got rejected at front register, I dunno if the customer service rep was putting the check wrong on purpose or Not so I ran a test when I left state college pa I went today to the walmart in Lewistown pa today my neighbor bought a folder for me to keep a copy for her receipts since she's has to spend down her funds down to received further assistance by the "Office of Aging" in Burnham, PA , so I dunno if the sales rep employees is assuming am doing something illegal or not, this not the first time i was left hanging to wait a long time for service at this best buy location, so the next time I am going to best buy will be the one in Altoona location, cause we bought the same tv with a check and had no issues whatsoever, now we going to buy the 50 inch roku tv which both best buy locations don't have in stock on amazon instead, don't want to talk to that sales rep on phone or in person cause already aggravated enough...is only gonna make me more aggravated.... that is all, over and out...

Went into the store and asked about a Nintendo switch. The lady at the front desk asked me if I know anything about them I said no. I know there’s a lot of different ones. Instead of helping me out she pointed to the back corner of the store said, “You could find them over there.” No help, nor sales associate; Walked around the store looking for three other things I needed to get — again. No customer service. I will not shop at Best Buy on Atherton St. When I left, four sales associates were talking (not about work) by the exit door.

I went in looking for a laptop cord for a specific laptop I found the laptop cord replacement then I found a worker and I asked him what would be an appropriate one for the laptop that I own. He replied anything less than 100. First of all people if it's too much electricity it will fly your system. I ended up using my phone to research till I have the correct answer and figured out my system only take 65 or less

Best buy was great, but unfortunately they couldn't help me because I didn't want to pay 200 for fixing my laptop keyboard. The Geek Squad personale I worked with were very friendly and sympathetic. It would have been nice if my product was under warranty. I would recommend if your item is worth the pricy repair or if covered by warranty.

Many stores have suffered during COVID crises in terms of employees, hours and service. Bestbuy like others has gone through this as well. But, you still can get good help, knowledgeable salespersonStock is good or delivered within one week or less. Better service then Walmart!

This is going to be a fun one!!! Go here on 8-5-2023 Buy 2 computer monitors and a blue yeti mic. Get the monitors home put them in my computer room and proceeded to do things I need to. Please keep in mind my computer room door is never open unless I am in said room. Get busy Sunday to prepare for an upcoming birthday party for my twins so can’t open the monitors till Monday after work. Open the first monitor it works great no issues whatsoever ever. Open the second monitor crack down the right and side of my screen. So it is now 8-7-2023 2 days after I buy the monitors. So I’m within my 15 day return window. I tone the broken monitor and everything that was in the box back to the store to have them exchange my monitor. Please keep in mind I live 45 mins away from this store. The manager on duty says I will not return this item as there is no damage done to the box or monitor it self that would have caused the crack. I stated to her that the person who packed the monitor could very easily have broke the screen when it was packed they could have even dropped something on it before it was put in the box. She sates this could be true but I don’t know that so tuff luck you are out $260. After calling the call center who was no help I go back into Best Buy and ask for the general managers number. I was handed a business card with the numbers of the general manager. It is now the next day 8-8-2023 and I call and leave a message for the GM. Since then I have called the GM every half hour to try to speak to them. 2 times during this day I was forced straight to voice mail so I know they were taking calls. So I advise you save your time and your money and just go right next door to staples and buy anything you may need from them and skip this store completely. It’s sad that a GM of the store will not even talk to a long term buyer of Best Buy items. I will be returning my other 2 items to them tomorrow morning and taking my money else where.

Customer service could use a huge improvement. Most staff have an attitude. Would try to say I’m shocked but it’s most places you go today. I try to avoid this store as much as I can because of that. No one wants to feel like it’s an inconvenience to shop or ask questions

It is a perfect place for helpful advice on buying electronics. I have been here many times for questions on vacuum cleaners, phones, laptop, apple pencil and literally all other technology needs. Be it advice on what to buy or how to proceed with repairs, that have always given very sound advice and i cannot recommend them more.

Tried three times to return a call that came from this store, so they obviously have phones, but every call went straight to some Indian in Calcutta or New Dehli...absolutely zero help, and all three said I can't call the store directly (even though they list a phone number online). Who does business like this? No calling the store?

Went here to an appt with the Geek Squad to look at an system that I purchased and BECAUSE I didn't BUY it there they wouldn't even look at it🤬😡 wasted $15 in gas and my time traveling 1/2 South of my home for absolutely nothing.. I told the guy at the check in desk you need to tell people that on the phone instead of using your proganda to obtain customers money by false advertising the "Geek Squad" because the ONLY way you have access to those individuals is if you spend your money AT Best Buy buying THERE equipment.. 🙈😤😡🤬

Called store to determine if they would replace the battery in an iPad.Person on the phone was belligerent and would not answer my question. He insisted that I had to go to website an make appointment.I made an appointment, drove 40 minutes to the store, waited 19 minutes for service even though I had appointment, to be told that they did not do battery replacements. They send the product to Apple and Apple would not repair it as it was to old.I could have received that bad news on the phone had the individual I spoke to first taken any time to assist me.If the phone call I made went to a call center, Best Buy should fire them.
