The Banfield standard of care has decreased significantly since Covid. Quite a few of the locations are dramatically, understaffed, inexperienced, and overall lacking in care. I brought my deceased pet to this location for cremation with a return of ashes. I was quoted one price over the phone and double the amount when I arrived. My dog was hastily taken from my arms. Once I finally received my ashes and clay imprint, I noticed that the imprint was sloppily taken and filled with ink and what appeared to be dark colored cat hair. My dog was all white. I took a picture of a previous imprint from another vet and the one that I received from this location. Do yourself a favor and take your pet to a private vet. I will never visit this location again.

Dr. Crimmin is the most amazing veterinarian. She saved our dog's life by identifying an issue during a routine dental examination and immediately contacting me so that we could transport her to an emergency vet for surgery. Halsey had a 10 lb tumor removed from her spleen and will continue to live a long life. The team at Banfield is great, been with them for 7 years for this dog and 2 others.

Zeppy loves Banfield so much that when we pull into the parking lot, he can’t wait to jump out of the car and get inside to see everybody! I love Banfield because the entire staff is AMAZING and give Zeppy such great care! Jen is so great as she goes over ALL my options and gives me GREAT ideas about how I can care for Zeppy at home so he has a long life with me. Jen, you are FANTASTIC and I appreciate all the great work Banfield does to keep Zeppy healthy! Thank you!

It was my 1st time at this location. All of the staff were nice & friendly. I'm glad I returned back to Banfield. I never had a problem with the care of my other pets. I just wish they were in a more pet friendly area where they can relieve themselves before the appt.

We have loved our experience with the staff and doctors here! Very professional and will work with you to ensure your pet gets what they need! And the optimum wellness plans are very reasonable and cover various tests and exams!! Our cats love going! We highly recommended banfield as your vet!

It was my first time at any kind of pet clinic. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect, but the whole time there, everyone was so nice, and that put me at ease. My girl was happy too.

Let me first say that I pay $80 per month for the plan that includes neutering. I made an appointment in January for our puppies neutering appointment. I was first called to reschedule on a Saturday morning and missed the call but once I got the voicemail I tried calling to reschedule for a day and a half before reaching someone because my voicemails were not being returned.Once that appointment was scheduled I thought we were good to go and then I got another phone call to reschedule AGAIN! I expressed my frustration to the woman who called me and she apologized profusely and said this would be the last reschedule. I was told to drop my puppy off at 7am. I got to Banfield at 6:55 and the lights were out and the doors were locked. I tried calling and then went back to wait in the car until 7:05 when I saw someone going inside. I knocked on the door outside and she told me “you have to have a seat no one is here to check you in yet.” I explained that my appointment was at 7am but she still closed the door in my face and said to have a seat. There’s no seating outside and the temperature was in the 20s. I left several messages while waiting outside and decided to leave at 7:15am because my son had school and I had work.I am still waiting for someone to call me back and at 9:45am I still have not heard anything back. No one even called to ask where he was and if everything was alright.My desire is to reach corporate to have them find me a reliable and dependable Banfield to fulfill the services that I am contracted to receive because this is not my first issue with this location.

Had a good experience bringing my cat Aria to get her shots and check up but after I went to cancel her plan because of my own health and finance issues I was told I owe them $400 for services I didn't get. Only took her once and signed up for the plan. Big mistake. Best if people just pay the fee up front because it u sign up for their plans u will owe them way more in the long run. I'll take my cat elsewhere for her needs. 👎👎👎

I want to thank Dr. B and the entire staff. I had to say goodbye to my best buddy Mugsy of almost 15 years last month. They were so caring compassionate and professional. It was one of the most difficult times of my life and they really helped me get through it. I even received a sympathy card with hand written sentiments from the Dr. and staff. Thank you all.

Don’t take your pet to this place, they will rob you in day light.Simple ear infection to my dog coast me almost $900 dollars and a week ago for different reasons was close to $600 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. This place is horrible

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel it’s needed here. I signed my dog up for their yearly plan and after they cleaned my dogs teeth the nurse told me how nice her teeth were. Two minutes later female doctor came out and told me she needed a lot of work on her teeth. When I call her bluff she smirked and walked away. Nothing but a car salesman.I will Never go there again .

The staff was courteous and polite when I first arrived. The vet tech (nurse) listened to all of my concerns and asked follow up questions.The vet took his time and was thorough in explaining prices and what needed to be done.Upon leaving I was provided with medicine, follow up instructions and a list of emergency hospitals to visit if needed.

Maybe if I was signing up for a yearly plan it might be different bc I’ll be giving them some money, but I already did that.I pay a lot of money every month for these random checkups and I appreciate if the people who work there would do there job as an animal hospital and take my damn animal.Maybe before her next appointment I’ll mention that she’s a Dog who does Dog-like things. We've been taking our dog here since she was a pup. She has very bad anxiety and she is very very protective of us. I wish I knew the male nurses name, because he is wonderful with her. We pay for a monthly program, which is well worth it. It includes all her shots, and her Simparica every month ( which is a heartworm, tick & flea medication)

My dog started getting sick on a Saturday and I called multiple locations, none of which either answered their phones or would fit him in. I was freaking out and even though they were full, the Springfield Banfield said to bring him in. Rem (who answered the phone) at Springfield Banfield was the only one who asked about my dog and went to talk to the vets to see if they could try to fit him in. It turns out he had pancreatitis and I'm so grateful to Rem and the Dr for taking him in and helping him get better. Thank you so much!!!

The staff is very nice. Dr. Towl is great. Very clean facility. Only thing I wish I knew more about was the wellness plan. Feel like I was scammed with it. Unfortunately we had to put our dog to sleep and was told we have to pay 6 more months or 400 more dollars to cancel it. It's ridiculous and no one ever explained anything like this when signing up for it knowing my dog wasn't really well.

My first visit with my new puppy was a plus. It gives you a feeling of care. It's very clea. I was impressed at the care my baby got. I thought the wellness plan was a bit pricey. I will see if it's worth it as my girl goes. But they say you get what you pay for. I want the best care and again it's my 1st visit so I will come back to write another review. But on 1st impression it's a yes for me.

I had to get paperwork completed for my Luna. I was squeezed in today on a Saturday morning and prepared to wait a few hours as I knew it was just a courtesy appointment. Well from the moment I walked in I was met with such friendly service. I was anxious about leaving her but without them even knowing little by little my anxiety was lessened and I only waited about 30-45mins for her to be seen and returned to me. All of the staff I encountered were so friendly and I appreciated that it was the vet himself that called to let me know Luna was ready and he was just finishing up her paperwork for me. Professional friendly and quick but thorough service. I live in NJ and I normally go to one of the DE locations but I believe we will be taking the drive to Springfield going forward.

They are great with my dog Billy and my previous pup Lennox! I found this location because my previous pup that passed away was dog aggressive and so taking him through a PetSmart was always stressful so I needed a stand alone location and they were always so accommodating with him and they are great with my new pup Billy! They take great care of him and I know he is in good hands. I’ve had my rescued Billy for about two months now and we got his first dental cleaning last week and I was so worried about it and they did a great job and took out a fractured tooth and Billy is already being more playful and you can tell that tooth was really bothering him. And everyone is so sweet there! They genuinely care about your pet. Love this location!

I would give this place all 5 stars because when I first got my puppy my appointments went well and the staff was very nice. The first problem I have is they changed his Vet without notice which I am very picky about dealing with different people when it comes to health and my money. I have their optimum wellness plan which I pay $75 a month and included in my plan is “unlimited office visits.” I started at the Springfield location and been dealing with them so I called them Wednesday because I noticed my puppy had scabs, bumps, redness, and skin inflammation under his armpits and right leg. I called that morning at 8AM when they first opened and spoke with a rude and very vague receptionist - I could barely get a word out because she was so adamant about letting me know they was booked up for the day and told me to shot an email with pictures and the doctor would call me back. Okay! I don’t understand the point of paying a month if you only prioritize scheduled appointments and not acknowledge other pet concerns. Anywho, I sent the photos and waited half the day. They closed at 6PM and was closed from Thursday-Sunday due to the holiday, so I called at 5 to remind them that I sent the email and I would appreciate if the doctor could reach back out so I can know to care for my pup until I can get in there. She said I will write the doctor a note now and he’ll call you back. Never received a call. So now I’m in limbo about how to properly care for my poor young pup who’s obviously having skin irritation. What’s the point of the wellness plan? I’m not saying forget your schedule appointments for people who call in with concerns, but there needs to be a better system where you can handle both.

Upside; Place is always clean. Staff is polite. Pet wellness plans are great to have.Downside; Having to order pet meds online. I asked if they could supply a few pills until they order arrives but was told it was cheaper online. Pet had to take for 2 wks and then return for exam. Meds arrived 10 days later so appointment had to be rescheduled.
