Absolutely love this vet and so do my girls. As soon as we pull in they just can’t wait to get out of the car! Dr Penny and the whole staff are absolutely amazing. Dallas is a very shy dog and they are very calm and slow with her. Dixie is the complete opposite and they don’t get annoyed with her shenanigans😂Everyone is so kind and they don’t make you feel dumb when you ask questions. Would recommend them to anyone!

We have been taking all our dogs and cats here for years. Dr. Penny is just fantastic and her staff is wonderful. She is beyond devoted to her work and every animal she meets.They are very accommodating including prescriptions on site like rx foods and especially flea and tick medicine.My 4 legged babies and I are So grateful for Somerset Veterinary Hospital.

Always provides me with good quality care when my dog needs it. Prices are much lower than other clinics I've visited and they actually see my dog if there is an emergency rather than send me to an emergency hospital in Pittsburgh. I had to bring my dog Eli in Monday 9/25/23 for an emergency visit. They let us wait in the car till they were ready and called us to bring him in the side door as my dog gets panicked in the waiting room and can be unpredictable. Brianna was our vet tech and Dr.penny was the vet. Eli really doesn't like the vets he gets very scared and rowdy. The vet (penny) and vet tech(Bri) here at somerset were so compassionate to me and my dog even though he was rowdy and even slipped out of his leash trying to get away from them. He just ran back to the room me and my boyfriend were waiting in and they handle this situation so gracefully. They did what they could for my boy, and he even calmed down a little bit by the time the visit was over. They got me some meds that fixed him up and he's doing so much better, and even some extra meds incase we had some problems down the road. When I left this vet I actually cried happy tears. I cannot express to you how happy I was to have a vet treat me and my dog with such compassion which I'd like to mention my regular vet has never done for my dog as they have suggested a few times that he needed to be put down for his aggression towards the vets. I have never had an aggression issue with my dog at home he just gets terrified at the vets. I would make this vet my regular vet if they are taking new patients but I'm not sure if they were I forgot to ask before I left as I just wanted to get my boy home and better. Somerset is a good 45 minute drive from where I live but I would happily make the drive down there for my dog or cats any day to receive the kind care they provided. The office is also very beautiful and clean. Thank you so much to the staff for their kindness and compassion.

Dr. Penny and the technician Jessyca were wonderful to my dog Bailey. We took her in for an emergency visit for not eating or drinking. They ran bloodwork and went over all the results thoroughly with me and were so kind during the process. Bailey also was very welcoming to them as she is usually scared during vet visits. Hopefully, Bailey will be feeling better soon.

I brought Prince, he got nails done, his shots, and ointment for his eye. I got a very reasonable estimate for a surgery. I got a preventative for fleas, and ticks. $169.00 is very reasonable for all that. Thank you all! You were great with my fur baby!

We have taken 5 of our dogs here and my parents have had 3 dogs here. I recommend this veterinarian to anyone! They work with you for treatments and payments. Dr. Penny is always truthful and does not try to sell services your pet does not need. We've have 4 pets put down here, one was an emergency surgery, and they are all kind and caring toward the pet and the owner. I always feel like the entire staff has my pet's best interest when I come here. Love them!!

Staff, Vet Tech and Vet are awesome. We were having to put our 15 yr old Furbaby to sleep. They gave us time to spend with her. They never once asked us to leave her side. They made a very difficult time a little easier.They're also fantastic when it comes to routine care and emergency care.

My Ted was very sick last month, we took him here and they took very good care of us. They didn't try to push more tests and treatment. The vet gave his honest opinion and that means a lot. Unfortunately my Ted went to doggie heaven but the staff and vet were so kind to us and we got to say our goodbye. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital.
