My experience was positive from the beginning. I called for information and the gentleman I spoke with was helpful and nice and went out of his way to answer my questions and didn’t rush me. I was able to purchase what I needed and pick it up within an hour. My biggest frustration was the automated service at the beginning of my phone call but it was probably just me as I prefer to deal with human beings and not computers.

They didn't have garland that we originally went for but we still enjoyed looking at there Christmas stuff especially the little red truck hauling a Christmas tree lol

I used to work here for a little while. So my opinion may be baised, but I will try to keep it as honest as I can.This store is well stocked for the location and size of the town it is located in. Seasonal items here are nice as they provide some competition to the local Wal-Mart.However, this lowes is small, so it's limited to what it holds on hand. For basic lumber, plumbing, and other needs, the store is acceptable. However, sometimes you'll find yourself needing to take a trip out to johnstown or Latrobe if you need something right away.The garden center here suffers from not being fully enclosed. It limits its usability and accessibility.Most of the staff on hand is friendly, some are knowledgeable while others don't have a clue unfortunately. It's best to ask around if the first person is unable to assist you.I'd like to see this lowes carry things and catter a little more to the town they are located in.Overall, this is a decent store and a good store for the size town it's located in.

I had a bad experience in this Lowes years ago but today I went back for something I needed and I went to Brandon who was really busy. Even though he was busy, he dropped everything he had and went to help me. Minutes later Brock arrived and started helping me too. They were very polite, helpful and professional. They deserve 5 plus stars. Employees like them is what Lowes really need.

Lowes is for armatures (light duty....just to pick up small regular household maintained) & home depo is for serious people who do real heavy duty work.Didn't have what I needed.

Disappointingly, this particular Lowe's was very unimpressive. There is nobody anywhere to assist with customers questions and when you do find someone, they are unknowledgeable about the department you need assistance in. We were told to wait for a store associate to come back and cut a piece of Polyvinyl Chloride plumbing and nobody ever even showed up. Further, i unfortunately now believe that The Home Depot has more of a wide-variety of inventory and stock. I've always loved Lowe's but c'mon, this store needs a face lift.

Eh, 5 stars, why not. Never entered the store. Did the order online and have it brought out to us. The girl working the orders was polite, and she was quick. There were a few people she had helped before she got to us and I don't feel like we had to really wait. I'd definitely do the ordering online and have it brought to the car service again. Fast, convenient, & simple to do.

I had a great experience today at Lowes.Their system showed all of the components I needed to build a set of stairs for my deck.. After a lot of effort to locate the missing parts they offered me a price adjustment on other items to save me another trip. Both Brandon and Jeremy turned lemons into lemonade. I never asked for a price adjustment. Brandon offered it to help me out. Thank you so much!!!

Update 10/23/23: More problems originating with Lowes. The Kitchenaid range we had delivered in August was only just recently connected to the new gas line so I’ve only tried to bake in it twice. The pilot light keeps going out causing it to reignite and fill the house with gas. The gas company Red-tagged it. Waiting now to see if it can be repaired. We also ordered a walk-in shower which arrived damaged and had to be repaired. And after waiting 11 weeks for countertops, their subcontractor called the morning of delivery to say the largest piece (where the sink goes) broke!UPDATE 9/19/23: Called the number Lowe's gave me in the comments, held for over 15 mins without an answer and left a call back #. They did call me back from corporate only to tell me that they are unable to override a return policy. Really? Unable to make any exceptions? Range hoods are considered a "major appliance" and you get 48 hours to return it unless you pay with a Lowe's card (which we did) then you have 30 days. With supply chain problems it's difficult to know when to order your appliances. Buyer beware.Spent over $20,000 at Lowe’s the past 2Months renovating our home and they won’t let us return a range vent after we decided we want a microwave over the range instead. We never opened the box. They won’t even give a store credit. 😞

Employees are great. If you can find them.Like all Lowe's the skill ceiling isn't very high in the trades areas, but I do occasionally luck out avoiding pacing the aisles for an hour trying to find something specific that does something specific and goes to something specific. For the scenario I described I will ALWAYS go to ace hardware.But for the stuff I'm at Lowe's for, meh it's tough sometimes if you don't exactly know what you need and use your phone to find it or do curbside.The employees are a gem though. Compared to other Lowe's this one is the best.

I had 16 full sized railroad ties delivered by the Somerset Loew's. They were delivered by flatbed on time. The driver, John, was very nice and helpful. He used his forklift to drop the ties right where I needed them. I tried to give him a tip for his good service, but he declined to take it. John is a great delivery driver and if I order a delivery again, I hope he delivers it.

They have Canadian plywood that's 49 inches long!! I won't go there no more. It seams like it's second hand stuff in there.

It was pretty much like any other Lowe's. I was able to quickly find what I needed and checkout was quick with self checkout. Parking lot is quite large with ample spots available.

I strongly DO NOT recommend this establishment for fence and installation. Once they have check in hand, there is zero communication, accountability, or customer service. We had no response to a number of calls and emails simply asking for a status update. Eventually, there were promises of escalation but to no avail. There has, however, been plenty of blaming and back-stabbing other departments and the installer. To date, we are out nearly $6,000 and still have no fence. If you do decide to use Lowe's for your fence, do not pay in advance!

No communication at all. A lady called and said the stove we ordered wasn't able to come in but we can have the floor model. Came in to pick it up and no one knew what was going on and the gentleman back there was rude to us the only helpful person was someone who was on a fork lift making sure we didn't need anything while we were looking at the keys.

Never can find help. I tried to take items back without a receipt. In the pass 6 months we spent 50thous, there remodeling adding on. You can't tell me they can't see on there comp. Those items were sold not stolen. They make me sick!!

A little disappointed to drive there and find out they dont keep washers and dryers in stock and they have to be ordered online. Apparently theres a lot of things they no longer have in the store.On a good note... the employee we dealt with was very helpful, answered all our questions, and ordered our washer for us. No complaints there. Just wish we could've left the store with a washer instead of having to wait for it to ship.

So our pipes r frozen. So we called than headed to the store. They cannot give us an exchange of a 20lb propane tank because the lock is frozen!!! So I guess they sell deicer spray! They said we couldn't us that!! Even tho they sell it!!

I spend thousands upon thousands of dollars there remodeling my house. I am a 60 year old man with a broken back. You think I can get help loading drywall and plywood? I sure did from a former employee walking in. After waiting 45 minutes for help from people that actually works there. I call and talk to the manager and he says he's gonna have a meeting with employees. Wether he did or not I can't say. But every time I go in. It's the same old situation. No help. The manager on edduty name is Patrick iBy the way if there was a home Depot were I live i certainly would spend my money there

If I could give negative stars I would. I spent over $4,000 on kitchen appliances and they canceled one of my appliances without even letting me know. Then I said I just want a refund for everything because I wanted a matching set and we had tons of issues with customer service. We paid using our debit card and our lowes credit card and they would not give a refund to our debit card. They gave me $600 something on a lowes store credit card and said the rest would be put on our lowes credit card and we would then get a check in the mail from the credit card. We only put $1,000 on the lowes card the rest over $3,000 was paid by debit card. They would not give me a refund so I’m calling corporate and I’ll never spend a penny with lowes again. They are a total joke

Shannon manager of receiving went above and beyond to get our order ready..Somerset Lowes has an employee they can be proud of.. So polite and accommodating. I left a message for his manager Wendy to return my call to express our experience today.Thanks Again Shannon

If I could give no stars I would! Purchased a fence in June, paying for a fence I do not have, when the salesman came to my house told me everything was in stock, “ Lie!! “ told 3-4 week wait time for installation! “Lie”! There installation dept has hung up on me, told me so many different stories, no one calls back, have not gotten 1 straight answer , I have been given 10 or more different reasons why I still don’t have my fence!! I will never and I mean ever shop at lowes again!! And I will warn everyone that they do lousy customer service!!

I paid for an In stock washer on a Wednesday. They couldn’t deliver for nine days and gave me a time frame of 8-12am. At 1:00 I was still waiting for them to call. It is very frustrating when you plan your day around a delivery. If I had been able to get it myself I would have but they need better scheduling at this store. I will check Best Buy and Home Depot 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 next time.

Every time I’ve went there you can’t get any help with anything! Tonight I waited 45 minutes for someone to help me.They called 4 times over the intercom for someone to help in the vanity department and nobody came. Finally I spoke with the manager of the store and ask him about why every time I come into the Lowe’s in Somerset this always happens and it doesn’t happen at the Lowe’s in Cumberland. He replied I don’t know I said doesn’t that bother you that your employees don’t do there job. He replied have a good day. That to me shows you that he really doesn’t care it’s just a job to him! If you want a better store and there employees will help you try Lowe’s in Cumberland or Johnstown. Lowe’s in Somerset the manager in the evening is very disrespectful and needs to find a different occupation cause he has no people skills!!!!!

I love Lowes even if i don't buy anything. Its a great place to dream about how you want your home to be. Staff is attentive but not intrusive. Good selection of products.
