Just went into the store to buy groceries. Spent 15 minutes shopping only to have to put everything back because there was a DOG in a grocery cart and management didn't say a word about it! It was not a service animal. In fact it tried to climb onto the belt and the cashier was actually petting it! There were no self-checkouts open, there were no other checkouts open and the cashier didn't wash her hands afterwards! I was absolutely not going to put my food on that belt! I put it all back and then left. I'd rather drive to Grove City from now on to do my grocery shopping.

They never have anything in stock. Today will be my last visit to this store because there have just been too many times now that I have had to go without what was on my list. And it's not even like it is affordable anymore. I will be going to Grocery Outlet instead because I don't even trust to go to another Giant Eagle. You have lost a life long customer.

I was just in the paring lot. They don't have enough handicap parking spots. This store is set up for university students. Not for the handicap or senior citizens.

The Slippery Rock Giant Eagle needs some serious updating! I understand it is small (rebuild it bigger, maybe?) but the utter lack of selection is abominable! I imagine that the Giant Eagle company won't even care about my review because the store is in such a sweet small town, but c'mon, GE! Do better than THIS!The people who work here are great! They are very helpful, efficient, and friendly! While I can't stand the disappointment of shopping here, at least while I'm shopping (looking for things that are not there..) and paying, the staff is wonderful! Thumbs up to hiring!

I was in this Giant Eagle the other night and tonight and this man, an employee followed me around! I was looking at the meats and saw one meat had a coupon and the other did not I was going to switch the coupon and he informed that I couldn’t do that and I said okay. Then he proceeded to follow me and my boyfriend around the store all the way until we checked out and when we checked out he was watching us at the register the whole time. I went in tonight to get a couple items and he followed me around again and again came to register I was at and looked at the screen of the cashier. Mind you there were other people in front of me who he did not do that to. I’m not sure what this mans name is but I will be contacting the hiring ups for discrimination and I won’t be shopping at this unorganized, racist, and cluttered Giant Eagle. I would rather drive 20 minutes away and spend my money else where. What makes this place worse is that I used to work here and quit because they expect employees to tolerate disrespectful customers. I wish I could give this place no stars!

I did not think this store could get worse. They eliminated the self check aisles and if you have one item you stand in a long line unless someone kind lets you go ahead. The cashiers are very nice and very slow. Shelves are often empty. On the days they are stocking,aisles are crowded and it is difficult to get around as no one will move out of the way. This store is the worst giant eagle I have ever been to.

If you're looking for a decent variety of food and drink, you can likely find something quickly at this location. If you have questions, the emploees are helpful. Service is fast. You can get in and get out quickly at this store. There is also a gas station on the premises.

Great produces and excellent customer service. Parker was very helpful and kind at the customer service counter. The store was stocked very well and clean. I was able to find everything that I needed by it being my first time shopping at this location. Not to forget Troy the cashier for his outstanding services.P.S. They didn’t pay me to say this lol, I truly enjoy great service so job well done fellas.

This location is the worst with pricing and employees. If I must stop in here, I usually end up leaving angry. There is something to be said for friendliness and kindness, and I never find it here. (Only in the pharmacy) I am shocked (I shouldn't be anymore) at how much the prices have risen over the last several years, and I mean like $2-3 on one item compared to the Butler Walmart who has literally everything. Certain items that we usually buy weekly are even over $3 higher here. Then there are all the college students working here, playing around in the aisles, blocking customers getting through with their U-boats of boxes. They are horsing around, laughing and they always ignore you. It is very off-putting. I have been grossly overcharged just 3 times in the last few months. So, I give up. I get my scripts, look at nothing here and leave quickly. Not worth your time. Drive to Butler, get everything you need in one stop, use the self-checker (where you don't need a special card to use it), and aside from a little extra spending in gas to drive, you leave with a smile on your face. FuelPerks are useless. What you save in gas, you overpay on your groceries. Think about it, it's not a hard concept!!! 🙄

They have a lot to choose from some things are pricey but they are everywhere anymore.. I wish they would bring an Aldi's to Slippery Rock, Pa.

Cluttered and disorganized, narrow isles. Bakery items not fresh made, all were pre packaged. Overall, was well stocked, however there is so much clutter everywhere its hard to locate anything. Absolutely NO smiling faces, employees were not engaged. Prices seem higher than other comparable stores

This place is the worst. Likes going to the back of the store because they can't be bothered to have more than 2 cashiers working at a time. They will complain nobody wants to work meanwhile they are starting workers at $7.25/hr. Wrote this while standing in line here because you guys give me so much extra time.

The go-to grocery store for anybody in Slippery Rock. Admirable produce selection and generally good availability for the majority of items one may be looking for. Bathrooms are well maintained and staff is friendly and helpful. One of the managers, Mason, has provided exceptional personalized service on several occasions.

I like Giant Eagle for its convenience. I like the employees and selection. What I don’t understand is why the management/owner would eliminate hand held baskets. I limit myself to the few items I can carry. When I inquired at the cash out register the cashier told me because of “COVID”. WHAT!😵‍💫

I have been dealing with the flu and tried to do a curbside order but found out it was not available. Not sure of her title but a wonderful person that I think is a manager got my order ready , called me at home and brought it to the car for me. Where else would you get that kind of service

My husband and I have had to drive an hour away to pick up curb side due to slots not being available at our local Giant Eagles..this location has been wonderful. Today unfortunately on the way there we got a call saying our curbside unfortunately was canceled due to their system being down. We called customer care to work it out...they were amazing. The store and customer care were so easy to work with. They were kind and understood that we really needed the groceries. I know right now times are scary and we are all going through tough times...I appreciated their kindness. They went above and beyond to make it right. To their employees thank you for working hard! I truly appreciate it!

A great place to buy groceries. Great selection and fair prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. Gary the manager greets people by name and thanks them for their business. The pharmacy staff is one of the most professional that I've ever dealt with. From the deli, bakery, meat/seafood, and fresh foods departments to the Cafe; they have everything that I need or want. With numerous places to shop at, the Slippery Rock Giant Eagle is my home town supermarket!

It's just a little bit out of the way but it's the only place where I can get the extra dark coffee and the melting chocolate for baking. I also love the prepackaged meals. They are awesome and perfect for a single lady.

Although a smaller grocery store than most Giant Eagles these days, it seems clean and the butchers have been very helpful when I've needed something that wasn't in the meat cases. Due to its smaller size, there is not as much variety in the products sold.

While prices are still a little higher than some other stores; they are beginning to carry a lot of organic and Non-GMO foods. Very important to me. We should all take stock in what chemicals are going into our bodies.Most of the workers and kind and sweet. I just love Lauren. She's a doll & the pharmacy squad could not be better if I hand picked them.

Great Produce Section which is why I have three stars. They randomly stop stocking stuff for no reason and when College kids come to town, the shelves are bare. To the person in charge of ordering: SRU has been there for many many years...... You should have figured out the patterns and order accordingly by now but you don't. Sadly, this is one of the only grocery stores in the area so we are stuck shopping there.
