This is the best dollar general in our area and probably in Pennsylvania.The manager is so nice and goes out of her way to help you all the employees there have a great personality and I really enjoy shopping there.This store to is organized and very clean too. I noticed other stores don't bother when you need help this store is exceptional and the manager and emoyees are too.

Shannon at the register was miserable. The whole 5 minutes I was in the store she was yelling at staff. Ringing people up for the wrong items and then getting mad and frustrated with the customer when it wasn’t their fault. She was yelling at the top of her lungs in the store for another coworker while people were checking out. She also was speaking negatively to the customers about another employee.In my opinion Tyler was very helpful and knowledgeable about the store helping me to find what I was looking for and was friendly.Maybe Shannon was having a bad night but when you are working you should be respectful and professional and not act in the ways she did.

I'm only giving it 2 stars for the well stocked shelfs n being clean.. But the one employee there was rude n I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to me. I ask my five year old to grab something that was in front of us by the cash register due to my hands being full, she mixed the dark blue can n the light blue can thinking they were the same kind of red bull, the chasier pretty much over heard us n called my daughter color blind, which she is not. Either way it's rude to call anyone color blind like it's a joke weather they are or not, especially a child. Plus it was none of his dame business... Done giving them my business n I will continue to give the one in Shnecksville my money cuz they r always so nice in that location.😤

So glad having this store near me. We're not quite a "food desert" here around Slatington, but almost. Having this clean, well-stocked store with lots of food and good discounts is helpful. They really stepped up to feed our community. Great place for milk, and all basic groceries as well as household items. Go on Saturday to get $5 off $25!

This General Dollar store is a new facility so it is clean and shiny. What sets it apart is the staff and the store layout. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The layout is more like a miniature general store. There is a lot of variety packed into this store, so take your time and check out every isle and every shelf. You just might be surprised at what new deal you find.

I had a greta experience . I was really impressed with the prices and the nice looking items they had unstuck .on the shelves ready to buy . The cashier friendliness was not good . She was not nice at all . She came across like . I was bothering her , She was major grumpy head. I purchased a birthday card and a tray for the brownies I was bring. very happy with purchase . Yes I will go back again but will not continue to shop there if she keeps the same attitude . no wifior service with my t mobile phone . I could not log into the dollar general app.

Just moved to the area and this Dollar General is going to be my new best friend! I've been there a few times already, since moving a week ago, and the staff has been friendly every time. And I'm pleasantly surprised with the variety of items they carry.

I truly appreciated the discrimination I felt this morning from the manager when the police arrived after being called because I was apparently stealing from this store after allowing police to search me to which they found nothing in my possession to be stolen, hereby created this 1 star review of the manager at this Dollar General location on this partly cloudy, mist-filled morning. Might I add, with this locations convenient location, I used to frequent this store until today.

Love this new Dollar General. Better layout than any others. Cleaner than the Scnecksville store. Great personal service!Better parking than Walnutport store. Convenient. Well stocked. Attentive team helping customers!Totally recommend this over any other one.Thank you for such a great location and a much better floor plan!!!

For a solid 8 out of the 10 minutes that I was in this store I was told numerous times by a rather rude employee to hurry myself up because they were closing soon. Then I was told by the same employee while checking out that I was no longer welcome to shop here. I forgot that this was such a great place to shop would definitely not recommend to a friend.

Great store very clean. And in these crazy times they always have TP and paper towels. In general its a great store have all kinds of stuff you might need. And on a side note there pricing is always on point.

Whoever the man with the white beard and mustache is.....he should not be working with the public. He literally yelled at my wife because she wanted her laundry detergent in a bag. Evidently there is a policy that if it has a handle it doesn't go in a bag. I have never seen this in any store ever.We proceeded up to Dollar Tree where were treated as a valuable customer.I will never shop at any Dollar General ever again. Its no wonder that people are shopping online more and more.

Wonderful store. Manager is totally awesome. This store might not be open past 3 (temporarily), however this is not their fault!!!! It's people who do not want to work. Let's be patient😢

I want to give dollar general 5 stars because I love the store, I love the deals and prices. This particular store however needs to get a new manager ASAP. The manager at this store literally threw change at a woman walking out of the store simply because she said she didn't want it..and the stories go on.

This location sucks closes when ever they want. The store managers fail to make a schedule like every other store isn't my problem. Call corporate hope they take care of the clear lack of management at this location.

Well i had walked into store in slatington this is a fairly new store , on this day it happens to be 948pm there were a few other customers n the store i walked by the cash register area and there were 2 dollar general employees i believe made it very obvious and clear that this was the last customer for the night for it was 950 so i had taken my time i new what i was there for but did not appreciate the tone in her voice nor which seemed to b alittle combative . so i placed my hand basket on counter anf asked if they had any eggs she basically bit my head off her answer if its not on shelf we donot have any.so i walked back to the coolers and checked myself yes they had so i opened both cartons and checked the eggs looking for cracks and grabbed pack of bacon they

I’ve never dealt with so many RACIST PEOPLE in my life at this location. A tall man they claim who was named BOB was beyond rude and was mad to have to help me because I was black and then when I asked for help brushed me off and said speak to the manager. When I did do so BOB FOLLOWED me (after he said he won’t help and to speak to the manger) but now can stand and listen to me explain to the ma her how rude he was. The manger was no better !! I told him he needs to have a talk with that man. He clearly showed he did not care at all as well. Then BOB was yelling and putting his hand in my face and I had my 4 year old son with me who then started crying because the man was yelling so loud. The manger standing right there did nothing still!!!! I dropped my items and walked out.

Middle of a Saturday afternoon and it's closed. No closed sign or anything. You have to park and walk up to the door in order to see that the door doesn't open. Incompetence and stupidity is now acceptable for a major store chain.

Of all the ones within a 50 mile circumference it has the best kept invintory as well as clenliness and tidyness. The employees at this particular DG are also the most professional and polite of this entire area!!!!! So take my advice choose this one!

This place is only open when they feel like it drove there 4 times now during normal hours and sign on the door says closecltill further notice don't waste your time go to walnutport or schneckville store there always open
