My grandmother was from Clarington and went to school in Sigel when she was a kid. Most of my family lives in NY but we always vacation back here each year. It's our home away from home. I can remember my grandparents stopping here to get gas everytime we were in the area as far back as I can remember. I always loved this store as a little girl and I still love it. I'm much, much older now and started bringing my husband to Cook Forest ever since we met and we would always stop here to get food and snacks for our cabin stays. I still drink coffee from my souvenir Truman's cup I bought here many years ago. Last summer, we were really sad to see it had closed. We wish your family well and hope that one day you will reopen so we can come back to support your business as always! Wishing you the best for 2023 and beyond!

Truman’s store is the best. We drove past a few times this summer and the sign says closed for the season however am wondering if they are closed permanently since they are normally open for the summer. Hope all is well with Tim and the whole Truman family. I have been going there since I was a little girl with my parents. It will be sad to see this store closed.

Always great seeing Tim and his wonderful wife. Tim is a great person and makes it a pleasure to do business with him. The store gives a fabulous Blast from the past feeling when you walk into it. Truman's store is a definitely stop when in the area.

What an amazing old store. Even when we don't need anything while camping down the road, we love just stopping in and browsing. And yes, we always end up buying something. Lots of camping essentials and priced very fairly.

I grew up going to Trumans while we would camp in Richardsville. The best memories were going in there to get gas and food. Such nice people. It really felt like you were in a old movie or something. I could live up there. Was recently back there after thirty some years and they were closed for.the season. I definitely will be back. Cannot wait!

My husband and I discovered Clear Creek State Park several years ago and have gone back each summer since. A few visits to Truman's store is a much anticipated event. Opened just after the Civil War, the store retains much of the original features. The squeaky wooden floor, high tin ceilings, barrels of goods and the tall glass windows looking onto the front porch are a step backward in time. Their friendly family-operated atmosphere tempts you to "hang out awhile" and get some local history. Oh, and, if you can't find what you are looking for among Truman's extensive and eclectic mix of local produce, groceries, dry goods and merchandise, then you didn't need it anyway!floor, high tin ceiling, andinthe 1800's

Family owned general store with delicious looking meats, fresh vegetables, ice cream, and personal service with a smile. Great for campers, gasoline pumps, grill supplies, picnic needs, etc. Love this place!!!!

This address is not accurate. There's not really a street in Sigel called "Main Street". It would be better finding this store by finding the junction of Route 36 and 949 in Sigel. The location on the map is completely wrong.
