Shopping at Giant has been a mixed bag for me. One of the more prominent issues I've faced is with their small carts equipped with theft-proof wheels. The constant clicking noise from these carts is not just irritating but often disrupts the shopping experience. It's gotten to a point where I opt for baskets instead, and if they aren't available, I limit my purchase to what I can carry by hand. On the brighter side, the store does offer a decent selection and convenience, but these cart issues significantly affect the overall experience, leading to my three-star rating.

If I could give zero stars I would. I just walked into the giant store. The cart boy was telling everyone that the store closes in 20 min…. Great I was grabbing one thing and leaving. Well as I replied and said ok the big boy and skinny boy mocked me changing there voice in a gay voice “ok” as I am a gay man they were trying to mock me. I was just discriminated and I will not shop here again. I did confront them about it and they had nothing to say. I will be telling everyone not to shop here ever again. If you don’t want to get discriminated don’t shop here. They need training of diversity as many different shoppers come in here. I should not have to deal with this. I will be reporting you all to the BBB as well as calling corporate.

I like the store for the most part. Good selection of products. The employees are helpful even at self-chcek-out, when I need something or have a question. Although for years, the overall cleanliness of the store including the bathrooms continues to disappoint. And the produce although quite a variety often lacks in freshness - it seems like it is the refrigerator cases, but I am not sure. The meat, seafood and deli cases do fine. Sushi Wednesdays are fun too. And even though Marty would have been more helpful with a built in vaccuum, he does make me smile when I see him gliding through the store. The florist department is beautiful and the Giant Pick-up Team hustle and do well too,

I usually don’t complain but the premade chicken Alfredo meal was full of hair. When I put it on my stove to warm up I could see all the hairs. It was not my hair as mine was blonde and the hair in the food was very dark

I’ve always had pleasant experiences with the employees here! The aisles are kept very clean & well stocked. The parking is plentiful.I wish that there was a Giant gas station at this location - it’s unfortunate you have to drive to Red Lion or Queen St. to use your points. Plus there aren’t any nice, conveniently located gas stations in Shrewsbury, so I think this would be a huge hit!I do love that they offer to exchange gas points for money off your total bill (from my understanding, 10 points = $1 off). That’s a good alternative to driving to take advantage of gas points.

My husband had sat over an hour way for our groceries. I have called the store 2 times and was transferred to the person in charge of getting the groceries together. Customer Service did what they could to put me in contact and a reason my Judy is still waiting when we received a message it was ready for pickup. Long story short I was lied to twice. Call I just received from a person who went out to the car said she could not understand what he was saying. He did give her two last names I have. Different last name. This young women did not tell him she did not understand. This is unacceptable they had went to my car so they nee it was my order. So if she did not know what name to look under how could have know he was there. First person said it was hectic and they had a lot of orders. Unacceptable he said the order was under Torrence which it was or Blauciak. They new the car they had two last names if she was confused she did not ask him to repeat. I am an excellent customer always shoe at Giant. We do pick up since we are elderly. I can understand to some degree but I was given two different stories. I hand also ordered groceries yesterday and he sat there for 25 minutes and I called. I am very upset and disappointed in how this was taken care of.

Today when I went to Giant I was checking out with a cashier and a coupon didn't go through. I questioned the cashier about it, who didn't say anything, but then my daughter said maybe it came off electronically. I said I didn't think that it would because it was a coupon in their circular but since I wasn't sure, I went on to pull out my wallet to get my card to pay. Then cashier said, "It says your order didn't qualify for the offer." We pulled out the items to show her that I had the correct items listed on the coupon. She did say anything and just stared at us. I waited for about 10 seconds and asked, "Can you call someone over to find out why it says that?" Again, she just stared at me. I waited several seconds to see if something was going to happen, and when it didn't I walked over to customer service desk to get someone. I will be honest, I was irritated by that time but when I spoke to the customer service lady I was polite but I shared how I was treated. I asked her if she would please come over to the register to help with coupon issue. She had an attitude but did go over to the register to, what I thought, help. When she went over there she asked the cashier what happen. The cashier shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know. After that, the customer service lady leans over and starts talking very quietly to the cashier. She told me that she will just take me over to the customer service desk to finish it up. I said, "Ok no problem." My daughter waited to tell me after we left the store, that when we started walking over to the service desk the cashier was "smirking" about the situation. When we got to the service desk the lady ask me, with an attitude, "Now what is the problem again?" I explained once again what had happen and even went further to say, "Your cashier is the one who told me the computer said my order didn't qualify for the coupon". Had she not have said that, I would have assume my daughter's comment about it being electronic was correct and I would have paid and left. Again, I continued to get a "whatever" attitude from her so I said, "This is why there is no respect in the workplace anymore. She is defending the cashier's actions." Her reply was, "I am not defending her." I said, "You were there whispering to the cashier about me so yes your were." There was no reply to that. She just gave me my total, I paid, and I left. All the cashier had to do is to say, I am not sure why it didn't come off but you can ask at the service desk, or I am not sure why it didn't come off would you like for me to get someone, or even lie and say your daughter is right even if she wasn't and I would have been happy. But her just staring me down and not saying a word twice, was not only very uncomfortable but extremely rude. I have been going to this Giant for years and even though I have noticed a difference in the employees the last few years, today the disrespect went too far. It is bad enough the cashier was rude but having the customer service lady being just as nasty was unreal. I hate to see what this Giant will be like in another year.

I get all my prescriptions filled at the pharmacy at this pharmacy.I give them 5 plus. Bill the pharmacist at Gian is the BEST. But your groceries are much too expensive.

Updated: They brought back the normal donut selection so I have no complaints now. It's still a well stocked store with great employees.////This is a good store with a good selection and great employees.They changed the donuts for some reason and they’re all sold in packs of 2 now so I have to knock a star for that. Bring back the normal selection and I’ll amend this to 5 stars.

Grocery pickup gave me 3 packs of moldy strawberries. Totally unacceptable. They did refund me but they shouldn’t even have moldy strawberries out for grabs and grocery pick up should’ve checked the produce they gave me.

Tonight was a first and hopefully a last. Giant Direct was definitely struggling. They didn't have my order done on time, and when it was ready, it took them a half hour to bring it out to the car.

A little expensive, oh what can you do out in Shrewsbury. Not much competition. But I definitely love the free fruit for kids they have set up.Response to reply: Yeah, that's really the only way to get deals.. but the system can be a little cryptic. Feel like it was designed for you to miss stuff and pay full price.. Not really a big deal to me, my wife treats it like a game.

I wanted to recognize and thank the pharmacy at the Shrewsbury PA. Giant. They are always professional and caring. Bill has been exceptional, helping me in recent days with getting a prescription authorized despite my doctor's lack of responsiveness. Thank you Bill !!!

This store has had a deli department problem for quite a while now. If you're going in for anything from that counter, you had better have a lot of groceries to pick up. Case in point. Today I waited 25 MINUTES while the 2 ladies (one the manager) chatted on and on while slicing no meat. My order WAS the one they were supposed to be making. 10 minutes later I decided to stand across from them to indicate that I am, in fact, waiting for my order. They didn't acknowledge me or care. Slice slice, talk talk slice slice talk talk. Literally 25 mintes FOR 1 ORDER to be filled. I stood there the whole time.

Overall I enjoy this store. Unfortunately, the last 2 times I've gone (on a Monday), the produce section has been pretty sparse and not good quality. Hopefully, it improves soon!!

Produce at this Giant is terrible. 2 days and strawberries are already mushy and brown. They've been cut and stored in glass. Never have these produce issues from any other store. It's every time I get strawberries from this store. Gross.

Great customer service, lots of variety for products, and competitive pricing especially when you look at their ads. The store is always clean, and their are team members throughout that greet you with a smile and help you find what you're looking for. The parking lot is also very expansive, so there's never a worry about not finding parking.

Did a Giant Direct pickup. Everything was marked no substitutes, we got substitutes anyway and had a bag missing. Had to go back to get a refund for subbed items and get the missing bag. Asked them to make sure they had no other bags for us and was told no. Only to get home and realized we did have another bag still there!! Had to call back again to get those items refunded! Now we need to make another trip to a different Giant 😤Terrible, terrible service today.

I like the selection of items they provide especially a good selection ofcheese's and the bakery. I like the fact that they have some local products in their mix I would like to see more
