My kids love Heather and everybody there! I have been going to Bark Of The Town for many years, beginning when I had 2 very old senior dogs. As a retired veterinary technician, I could tell immediately that Heather could handle the issues with my old guys. I knew they were in good hands.

I'm am very disappointed with this Groomer. Reading the reviews, I trusted them with my 1 yr old Bernedoodle. I recently moved and my old groomer stopped doing weekends. So seeing the reviews on Google, I decided to bring my sweet boy to these people. It was a little bit of a mess at first because I forgot my paperwork for him, but we eventually got it straightened out. A fault on my end. I paid for my services which was $120 and then tipped very well (because I know how much tips mean) before seeing my pup. But the hack job they did to my sweet boy, makes me think that they took the easy way out.. I DIDNT EVEN RECOGNIZE HIM WHEN THEY BROUGHT HIM OUT. My pup HAD beautiful Bernice mountain dog type hair; yes he had a few mats (one by his tail and a couple on his leg), but I haven't gotten him "professionally" groomed in a few months because of us wanting to find a reputable groomer near us. My happy puppy has never had any behavioral issues or problems whem visiting the groomer/vet. He is a puppy, part poodle and he plays, getting knotted very easily, but that is NO reason to tell me that they were going to cut him short (me thinking 2-3 inch long hair because of the breed he is) and then take the same guard on a shaver to all of his body besides his ears and tail (leaving 1/2 inch of hair). I even asked them to keep him full in the face because his hair gets wirey and kinky and they didn't even do that. I will not be returning to this establishment. When my mom called them to complain about the job they did, not only the employees but the OWNER was hostile with us saying I gave them permission to shave him. WHICH I DID NOT. They said "so you would rather us torture him?" To my mom over the phone when talking about why they couldn't just comb him. They also refused to refund me. I don't know what made them think that shaving him was the answer. A short cut on a Bernice mountain dog is NOT a shave. The first picture is him at Christmas time (the way he SHOULD look). And the last 3 are what he looks like now. I'm just hoping his hair grows back the way it should. My heart is shattered.

Can't say enough to explain how wonderful the staff is here. They are so friendly and welcoming even on a very busy morning. Their services are professional. The staff flawlessly balances giving the humans and furbabies enough attention to put everyone at ease. So glad to have found this local business for our pup's nail trimmings.

I have been brining my dogs here for grooming and nail trims for just about a year, and could not be more pleased with them. They are fantastic with both dogs, especially with my anxious old man. I can't rave enough about them!

The whole staff is always so welcoming when walking in with my boy, like everyone knows him, knows us. Jess is so spectacular with Loki, has a plan every time so that he has the support he needs while she does what she's so good at. He definitely gets excited when we arrive, and I don't think it's because of the other dogs. Thanks Jessie for always working your magic and taking such great care of my clown lol.

We have been using Bark of the Town Pet Salon for the grooming of our two "Doodles" for over a year now and are extremely happy with the quality and outstanding results. Always a beautiful job with friendly, professional service. Communication is always good when making appointments and picking up your freshly groomed pet. Everyone here is so nice and really good with my dogs. They can handle the lab who is just so happy to be there and wants to be everyone’s friend and my Eskie who is terrified of strangers.They do a great job with their nails and the minor trims those 2 need and I can’t recommend them enough.

My pup is only about 10 months old and has some separation anxiety from me. These groomers were so understanding and kind. They allowed me to stay with her while they clipped her nails. She only has ever let two people do her nails and that’s simply because she knew them. They were so gentle and showed great love to my pup. I 10/10 recommend and I even went and book a day for her to get completely groomed because I adored the people in that shop. She’s normally a pretty shy dog but opened right up to this wonderful group!

The groomers are awesome! They do great work and are consistent. I live in MD but drive up to get their wonderful service for my Scottie boys. They just love Heather. She was fabulous with my past lil Irish Terrier and I wouldn't trust my pups with just anyone. Definitely worth the trip.

Heather and the staff at Bark of the Town are the utmost professionals. It is clear that dogs are their passion! Each time my dogs go for a grooming, Heather listens to what I have to say and they come out looking adorable. The Bark staff shows care and patience with all the pups. My dogs are so excited when we get out of the car and they realize where we are. I definitely recommend Bark of the Town!

Best dog grooming experience ever! Very friendly staff when I called and when I took my dog in for his appointment! I felt very comfortable leaving him in their care and when I picked him up he looked the best he has ever looked being groomed. If you want a grooming facility you can trust, use Bark of the Town!!! After moving here from Maryland I was worried about my dog's anxiety with a new groomer. She has had the same one for 6 years. They accommodated her anxiety issues. They were professional, freindly and did an amazing job. They cut her just as I described. It is the best cut she has ever gotten.

My dog has been groomed here for all 10 years of her life. The staff goes way "above and beyond" to make sure Daisy is well cared for. Daisy has some separation anxiety and is often nervous around strangers, but after all these years will get excited if we tell her she is going to to "see Heather". They work with me to schedule Daisy's appointments at convenient times. I have never heard or seen any staff member using anything but calm and caring voices, tones, and body language with the dogs. Highly recommended Bark of the Town in Shrewsbury!

Love this place. Today, they clipped the nails of our 2 dogs. Brody is an older dog and it can be almost impossible to clip his nails. Yet, today, he was so comfortable and peaceful with the groomer! Our cavapoo, Stella, was also happy. Thank you to all the groomers at Bark of the Town!
