The taste of the ice cream was delicious, the prices were extremely low, and the size of the scoops was very generous. The staff was also kind and patient. I visited here on a trip with my family and recommend trying this place out.

We stopped by at Candy's while traveling through. The ice cream was amazing! We got five waffle cones(black raspberry, tiramisu, cookies&cream, double chocolate) and one coffee espresso milkshake. The place seems to be owned by one family with very friendly staff. This rating is for ice cream quality and taste only. I do not include my view on the interior design and overall atmosphere of this shop.

whoever is in charge of hiring employees are very sexist. not sure why, but i’ve been going to candys for quite a while, and have never once seen a man behind the counter. I thought it was by chance and maybe that they just had more female applicants than male, until me and a few friends (male) decided to try to apply. we all tried during different times of the year, and we were all turned down. they gave the majority of us a different reason, which is a huge red flag. it may be a marketing strategy because maybe they are under the false impression that women bring in more ice cream sales, which would not make any logical sense, and at that point would just be using women to make a profit. either way, the way this country is built today is supposed to offer equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender, but clearly candy’s disagrees.

Once was a favorite of mine…howeverThe past 2 visits this summer were not good, hand dipped ice cream tasted like crunchy ice crystals throughout.Not sure if it is the freezer or how it’s being madePurchased two different flavors, both had the same poor resultTasted like when the ice cream in your freezer is “ old” or when it melts and refreezesBoth times mine headed to the trash can 😔

Ice cream is not the same also before Candy sold the business to another inquiry, there was no credit card limit now there is a credit card limit it’s a $5 limit. Definitely not the same business!Definitely would not recommend!

Worth the 22 mile drive to get here. The homemade ice cream is excellent. Very good cheeseburgers, hot dogs, hamburger bbq, onion rings, pierogies, corn nuggets, and french fries. Budget friendly prices. I'm sad that they are closing for the Winter on October 29th. Looking forward to coming back in the Spring.

So I live for ice cream. I have had a bowel of ice cream everyday for the past 48years. I love trying out all types and flavors. We were passing through this area and stopped in for a quick treat. OMG I have been dreaming about this ice cream ever since. So delicious. Hands down the best ice cream anywhere in PA. The price even makes it taste better.

🌭🍔 One thing you don't know about Candys is that they serve hot food, the burgers and hot dogs are at the right price and the food is always delicious.🍦🍦 Definitely recommend the soft serve twist. The service is fairly quick and the place is very busy with lots of parking and well worth the wait. The price is right! 💯 Will definitely be back and a great place to take friends and family. They could use a little background music and have made a great effort sprucing up the facility. Can't wait to be back! ❄️🍦🍧🍨My recommendation would be to always shout Welcome and Thank you for visiting to guests.

Best ice cream around! They make their own, big on flavor, no skimping in that department! Also have other fast foods: burgers, dogs, fries, etc. Fun place to sit down & relax with family or friends. Their staff always recognizes me, make you feel right at home. It recently changed hands after many years, so I hope the high standards Candy & Hubby set will continue! That was their key to success! Best wishes to them. They'll definitely be missed!

The vegan vanilla tasted so bad neither me nor my husband could eat it. It tasted like a frozen diluted soy milk mixed with sugar and artificial vanilla. Ice cream was supposed to be creamy, right? Not this one. The chocolate peanut butter vegan ice cream was better but had a strange aftertaste of pickles. It'd be okay for pregnant ladies but we are not them. Absolute waste of $8. We are not coming back.
