This DW is under rather new management, & has hired competent, efficient, and pleasant employees.There were 4 people ahead of us, and just 2 employees that I could see from the counter, but our burgers and ice cream were all served within 10 minutes, the order was correct, and the food properly cooked. The tomato on my burger tasted fresh, too.The interior of the restaurant was clean, neat, and orderly.This was probably the best fast food I've had in a year, in our area.

I’ve had both food and frozen treats here many times and the ice cream and cakes are 10x better than the food. It’s been a few years since I ordered any food from their menu and I gave it a go and was disappointed. This meal was expensive ($8-9) and there wasn’t much food. The fries were gross (cold and undercooked) and the chicken was okay. I won’t be ordering food here again. Not worth the price and it’s just downright a waste of money.You could drive a couple miles and go to Daddys, pay the same price, and get a MUCH better meal.

Probably one of the best fast food restaurants in this TINY, EXTREMELY LIMITED optioned town..Plus...it's hard to beat take out ice-cream for desert !?!😋Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is Back & it had huge chunks of pie crust in every bite!! So yummy 🤤👏 I really do it's just as good the nxt time! I have always had good experiences at this DQ location, but sometimes diff staff make it not as good, so I'll update when I go get my next one!😜EDITED 10-25-22Good Luck ! Most days DQ is not even open bc they claim they can't keep employees & are frequently short staffed so hours are not consistent or reliable. Wasted few trips myself. Attempted to order ice cream cake for bday & they told me they couldn't be sure anyone would be there for me to pick it up on any given day, at any given time. Who cam risk that when dealing w a bday cake? This is super depressing & frustrating that a franchise like DQ is so inconsistent. Food still good, WHEN u get chance to go & they happen to be open. I ordered the chicken strip meal. The chicken was very hot and juicy, the fries were good, and the fudge sundae was delicious. The staff was friendly. There was no ice in the ice machine, so the nice lady gave us some. Then they filled it up. It was very clean too. I highly recommend.

We stopped here with a group of teenagers. First, the girl did not understand comping the bus driver. 2nd burger was greasy. 3rd, they should just stick to desserts instead of hot food. It was not bad, and they worked as fast as they could, but I should've stuck with the blizzard and been done.Parking: It is a small dairy queen with limited parking.

Always closed. The other day we waited in line for 10 minutes just to get up to order at the drive-thru and they told us, "sorry today we close at 5:00." It was 5:10 and there were four or five cars they turned away.

Doors are always locked before closed. the drive through line is as slow as a sloth. Just moved up here definitely not coming again terrible experience. Food was also terrible ice cream was half melted by time I got it.

Got our dinner and as the lady was handing the food out she gave me a drink with the lid not on it and it went everywhere in my car, all over me and my belongings. She is still trying to shove things out the window as she sees what's happening with the soda. I had to ask for a drink carrier. Ice cream was melting before it made it out of the store. Super annoyed.

Love it! I’ve never had a problem with Dairy Queen except long waits for the drive through. I’ve never ordered food here just ice cream, I always forget they sell food too. I love the royal brownie blizzard! So chocolaty and amazing!

First off, the person taking our order apparently couldn't hear well because we had to repeat our order multiple times. Then it took almost twenty minutes after paying to get our ice cream. And oh boy are we disappointed. One of our items was missing, our banana split was made sloppily and had a plastic spoon in the middle of it. Like inside the ice cream and under toppings. Had to dig it out. If this is the level of customer service we have to expect from your establishment, I don't think it'll be around much longer. Hell, while we were waiting we watched the teenagers literally standing around and walking back and forth aimlessly. Someone needs to light a fire under those kids or fire them all and find people who will actually do the work.

So they r never open alot of times bc they can't find workers! I ordered a bday cake in November 22' and the next day I go to pick it up and they r CLOSED! They never bothered to call me or anyone who has orders so we had to go elsewhere. And staff r rude. Its for sale ATM but it's still open whenever they have enough ppl. Disappointed 😞Parking: Tight spaces and not much space in the lot

I’m giving one star because the food is still good. Otherwise it would be 0 stars if that was possible. The service is absolutely, tremendously terrible. The parking lot was completely empty, no line in the drive thru, and we waited to order for 10 minutes. She kept coming on the speaker saying “we’ll be right with you” and the microphone was still on so we could hear everything going on in there, and they were all just talking about whatever they wanted to hold conversations about. Then we got to the window and sat there for another 10 minutes before anyone even opened the window for us to pay. We should’ve just left right there. This has happened before when coming here. Either need new workers, or figure out how to improve the service. It’s disappointing.

I bought a sheet cake for a birthday for $24.99, and then when I got there, it was an additional $2 off because of a special they were running. They did a beautiful job decorating and didn't charge any extra. Everyone was so nice! Much better price and service than this New Jersey girl on vacation expected!

The decor could be updated it has been the same since I was a kid, 20+years. Good food, good service. Kids seem to love the decor as it is an old plane that no loger works, other then the lights. Did Wonderful with a large group order, there were 11 of us.

A few months ago, I got a New York cheesecake Blizzard in Shippenville, pa and it was wonderful! I had a piece of cheesecake in every bite! It was my new favorite blizzard! However, I have been back three times since then and all three times my blizzard was not as good. The last two times I only had two pieces of cheesecake in my medium blizzard and from the middle of my blizzard down to the bottom was nothing but vanilla ice cream, they did not mix it well at all. I just went back today and I had one piece of cheesecake in my medium blizzard and it was not mixed well this time either. Maybe the workers who make the blizzards need to make sure it would be something that they would want when they go out to a Dairy Queen

Went in with 2 other people, the manager was on front register.The 1 person ordered a Bananna split. They came out with a banana milk shake.He said that was not what he ordered, they took it back and made a blizzard out of it.He just said it wasn't right but took it.I ordered a 1/4 lb cheeseburger with lettuce , tomatoes and Mayo. Had to send it back no mayo.I know this has been a difficult year but if the manager can't get it right Ild say they have a problem.

Every time I come to this location it has never been a good experience. We either wait for a long time, half of our order is forgotten (there is never any apologies), or we get laughed at when we order. The staff just stares at you and rarely greets you as well.

When we got here, they had all the doors propped open. The guy that was cleaning and moving chairs/tables, was the same guy ..t took our order without washing his hands, and using his fingers to clean out his ear! Then handed us our food ...gross. my cone was to be a medium, but it was small. While we were eating outside, all the employees (except cleaning guy) left to go out back to smoke and ran back in when another customer was driving in. Dairy Queen has great food, but a place run by teenagers without supervision is not a great idea!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Every time I visit the Shippenville location I regret it. Employees always seem to be slow and very unfriendly. I went tonight and I had to ask twice while in the drive through for my desserts to be to-go because they did not give me lids even though I asked for them while giving my order. Employees seem to goof off even in front of customers and do not care if the environment is uncomfortable for the people spending their money there. I would not recommend this dairy queen, I would even go so far as reporting it to corporate.

If I could give it a 0 or negative I would have. We ordinarily love this Dairy Queen. Went tonight to get ice cream. Got there at 9:40PM. It's supposed to be open until 10PM. Some thin, nerdy boy with black hair ran outside and said "the drive thru is closed," then ran back inside without giving a moment to ask if the inside was closed. Upon further observation the doors were locked, lights were all out, and him along with 2 or 3 girls were HIDING inside next to the drive thru window. Pleasw hire competent workers that operate your business during the hours that you're supposed to be open. I've been home for minutes, written this review, and it's STILL not 10PM yet. I have big problem with this. I will be in touch with the store manager.
