I have been staying at this motel 6 for about 15 day's while I visit with family. The owners are awesome people and rooms are always clean. They are family owned and I most say that they are very nice. They always treat me very nice and make me feel welcomed. It is easy on and of from inter state 78.blue mountain dinner is across the street. Very conveniently located ..If you are traveling through and need rest remember that they keep the light on for your convince. Thank you motel 6.

I always look for Motel 6 when traveling because they accept pets. Usually, they are decent places. I am not expecting anything fancy.Started off poorly here. My reservation said the total charge was $65. However, when checking in, it became $85. Had a hard time understanding the desk clerk so I let it go. Upon entering the room, we were overwhelmed by the smell of disinfectant. I can live with that, at least they clean.The room had large holes in the walls and was very run down. The bed sagged so badly in the middle we had to sleep on the edges.I see several good reviews here so I am not really sure what is going on. But I would advise that if you stay in this area, find another hotel.

This is a suitable place to stay if traveling with pets and looking for an overnight stop. Check-in was efficient and I appreciated the ground floor room in the back. We were traveling with hard suitcases strapped to the luggage rack, and after a lot of thought, felt like our luggage would be safe, and it was. We were traveling with a chihuahua and a cat, and I really wasn’t expecting a fantastic room for such a low price; the room was clean with appropriate towels except it only had one washcloth, but it was obviously a room for people staying with pets: the doorway to the bathroom had obviously been chewed on and damaged by a large dog. We didn’t mind because the room was clean. It had a mini fridge and microwave, which not every motel 6 has. Bed was okay for one night. Pillows were small in size and number, but again, I wasn’t expecting more. The attendant at the front desk was a polite and hospitable young man.There is coffee in the front office in the morning.I do think a few personal welcoming touches and amenities would be an improvement.I knew from reading other reviews not to expect shampoo, and it was true there was no shampoo or conditioner available and no extra toothbrushes available for purchase even. Some type of welcoming info in the room or a list of TV channels or even restaurants nearby would have made me feel like they tried to provide quality hospitality. It’s not like I asked for suggestions since I can Google these things. If I had been looking for something more than a safe clean room to sleep in while traveling with pets, I’d have been disappointed, but I got exactly what I expected and paid for. My pets were delighted watching Law and Order. I’d stay again if under similar circumstances- safe for people and pets, no frills, very efficient check-in.Full disclosure- I smoke cigarettes and do not smoke inside and did not notice any smell of smoke or of previous pets. I read some other review that mentioned rooms smelling smoky and I didn’t notice that at all.Safety: I felt safe in the parking lot and had a first floor room that opened out to the parking spaces. We made the decision to leave suitcases strapped onto luggage rack and nobody messed with our stuff.Noteworthy details: Definitely pet friendly. We had a chihuahua and a cat.

I would have left a great review! Until this morning, I go out to get breakfast 2 hours before checkout time to come back to them cleaning my room, they threw away my food in the fridge and then tried to give it back to me. They made it seem as though it was my fault! If you don't plan on leaving when you step out of the door, I'd suggest a different hotel. I've never dealt with such disrespect.

Great service from the front desk person, but it ends there. Bugs in the room, burn holes in the comforters, huge gap at the entry door. This is a tired old motel that was obviously purchased by Motel 6 because of the location, it definitely needs a huge update. The location is excellent, with a good restaurant across the road, a Dollar General just down the road, and a couple of antique stores and a great fruit stand all within walking distance. The only reason we stayed here was we had vehicle trouble on a holiday weekend and it was the only motel in the area that had a vacancy.

The staff at the Motel 6 are loving people and they are very friendly and understanding people. They are always willing to help you out with anything that they can. I will always recommend this location to anyone who needs a place to stay, the Motel 6 is by far my number 1 location to go and stay. I give them 10 out of 10 the best service and prices.

Cheap, nice, clean hotel. I came from hiking the Appalachian Trail so any hotel with shower for me looked like a luxury, but here my comments:No coffee machine in a room - but there is a coffe machine in a lobby.No shampoo in the bathroomThe was a big hole in the bed cover.The hotel has a loundry - big plus for AT hikers.Walking distance to the Dollar Store and near by good Blue Mountain Family restaurant.

This past weekend (9/15-9/17/2023) Weak lock, badly Worn shower stall & it leaked from upstairs rooms, no hairdryer (even though I couldn't take a shower), thin pillows ( could not sleep well), bugs (for I was given a end room where the bugs were flying around), Soiled looking bedspreads ( folded it down when I attempted to sleep) & a Sticky floor ( had to wear socks plus with the bugs that got in the room. Wasn't going to step on one with my feet).. I had lots to do while in the area & just wanted someplace to make me & my guests be able to relax, sleep well & shower in between..but we could not do that.. definitely wasn't by any means worth any cost of what I was charged.. a full refund would be appropriate.. just beyond seriously disgusted & disappointed . it is the only time I have say in all of the Motel 6s that I have been at (I've been in more than enough them) that this Motel 6 is the absolute worst room stay to date. Staff was friendly. They need to replace the linen with holes in it and also there was a hole in the bathroom wall, and water damage on the ceiling by the shower. It was clean but smelled like people smoked in the room. Bedside lamp didn’t work. But honestly, you pay for what you get so I can’t complain too much.

Friendly check in… clean room and quiet area.We travel with our show dogs all over the country and were pleasantly surprised.The dog play area, well kept grass and poop bags provided made us add this little gem to our list of good places to stop.

I have found nothing to complain about. This place was great from the staff to the property in a whole to the room. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place does deserve it. Rm#405 was the mine. Everything was just perfect. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Thumbs up and a big thanks to you for your hospitality. Will definitely recommend and be returning.

The motel 6 in Shartlesville was very helpful in Assisi g me to my room as I am handicapped. The room was clean and perfectly acceptable for a ine night stay. Is it a 4 star hotel? No, but for a one night stay for travel stop it was acceptable and inexpensive. They need more handicap accessible rooms and need to know the differed between handicap accessible and 1st floor

The staff are nice but the rooms are so bad. They are in the process of trying to remodel the place and they were NO bugs, but 2 glass doors on front of room had me scared of someone coming in room at night and the heat didn't work in my room it was 35 outside and 47 inside. The bed was awful and needless to say I didn't sleep much. Oh and there is a little shower stall in Bathroom, no tub. But my truck was in the KW for repairs and it was the best of the 2 motels close. Seriously over priced!!

Inexpensive stay. Quiet room away from the residents in the adjoining Motel 6 building. Staff and guests were friendly. Free coffee & tea at the reception office. The Blue Mountain Family Restaurant next door to Motel 6 is a winner too - good food and nice staff.

Horrible motel. The bed sheets had several different colored paint splattered on it (at least it wasn't blood). It smells like smoke as soon as I walked in (non-smoking room), there was scrapes and paint missing on the wall. It was terrible. There was someone's personal birthday card taped over a hole in the wall. I wasn't expecting much, at $70, but it was pretty bad. Oh, and the towels were ragged and had hair in them. Skip this motel if you can help it.

They have NO COFFEE,. no coffeemaker in room. No coffee dispenser in office lobby. Room was fine, clean. Parking is cramped and inconvenient at one building. To get ice you have to go over 100 yards if you walk, and that's from one of the nearest units. Only three clothes hangers in a room with two double beds. No facial tissue. Dissatisfied for $91.

They lady at the office is very nice, that’s the only plus. Room service sucks, I stayed for a month they never vacuumed, never took all the trash, there are cockroaches and they can’t figure out that 2 people needs 2 towels!! Numerous times we would get 1 towel or no towels at all!! No smoke detector in the room and shower is very small. The bed was also horrible. Do not recommend staying here.

Rooms are different but they're decent. The location appears to be in the process of doing some work remodeling. There are some issues. The vending was very scarce and I was on the second floor. There are no lights anywhere around the stairs, the surrounding area, or on the walls of the building. So when going out in the middle of the night. It's so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face. Let alone where you're going.
