Do not shop at this store if I could give 0 stars I would. The Manager Michael locks the door 10 minutes before the store closes. I will not go back until this changes.

Typical of most DG franchises, this one has goods in both national brands and their own "DG" house brand. Savings in many cases come from downsized product weight or sizes, not so much challenging other stores on equal sized products. Still, the value is there, and is helpful for those that don't need or want jumbo-sized items. There are lots of snack foods, prepackaged dry, canned, or frozen foods and prepared meals, household items, personal care goodies, cheap toys and a lot more. The store is a bit cluttered, the place is small for the amount of products carried. The staff has always been friendly when we've visited. Smart shopping goes a long way at DG, just because it has "Dollar" in the name, it doesn't mean stuff only costs a buck. For quick shopping visits, it's a good way to save.

The Dollar General in shamokin dam pa has changed drastically in a matter of months for the absolute worst. Place is dirty and a mess. Staff including the manager are rude and unprofessional. Manager walks around with her phone in her back pocket playing music on top of the already too loud radio playing. Lots of expired products. This store needs a complete staff overhaul .

Great prices!! Was there one evening n standing in line...the customer ahead of me was not in the best mood and making it a bit challenging for the cashier...wanting things taken back off,ect...so she had enough money...the cashier was very calm n remained cheerful!!

Every visit to the store looks amazing, clean, and the Manager Mike is so helpful and knowledgeable I have to say this is my new favorite DG store.

The Halifax area location has always had the friendliest employees. The stock is always fair and the quality of the items is variable, but it's a bargain store.

The Sunbury downtown store needs upgraded COME ON DG FIX UP YA OLDER STORES. Great folks working there never an issue.
