I've been shopping at this particular store for over 10 years. I see a decline in the quality of freshness in the deli. I reported spoiled lunch meats but I was ignored. Twice I bought fresh Italian sausage and each time it was rancid. Some of their new cashiers are little bullies. I avoid shopping there now.

My neighborhood supermarket so a pretty regular stop. Overall very good, excellent deli and the meat department seems to have improved, but one has to keep an eye on expiration dates, particularly in the dairy case and especially with yogurt. Whether it’s the vendors or the in-house stock crew they can be a bit lax in that area. Good deals tend to appear often if you look for them, and the bakery is good, but fermented foods are a no show, a popular and growing category they should catch up with.

I make it a point to stop in when I'm visiting. Love the deli and the bakery items. It is smaller than what I'm normally used to, but I really like that about Gerrity's. I prefer this location vice the one on S Main Ave. (just my preference). I stock up during my visit and stop again to stock up for the ride back south! Great service and fantastic prices!

Love the ready-made dinners, but the store is small and crowded. The salad bar has no place to set your salad down and get your dressing, add croutons, and cranberries. You must try to balance it on a very small ledge as you need your hands to do the aforementioned. Hence, spillage abounds and is often overlooked. But it is truly a hometown grocery, and the many people who go there have patronized it for years. Many, many years. Cashiers, deli ppl, and the butchers all know your name, and you are greeted with warm smiles and a high degree of professionalism. Kind of makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over, and that is always a good thing.

Love the selections and very clean however the the Lady in the Deli was very rude!!! It was our first time there and didn’t realize you had to take a number!!! We simply didn’t know…. We saw a sign but was unclear where to get the ticket…. Long story short this rude lady from the deli was like “ just read!!! “. You’re lucky!!!! And was very rude!!! In the meantime a young lady stepped in very politely and said “I will take care of you”. Actually we were the only customers at the time… she was pleasant and got our fish and wished us well!

This is a great family owned, neighborhood store. I love the water dispenser outside and I also love how the produce and meats are located near each other. It makes it easier to plan and shop for whole meals!

Bakery section is to die for!! For people counting calories, don't even look in that area bcuz it is irresistible! 💕 We get all of our birthday cakes here, and they do incredible custom orders too.But the store is well-stocked, well-maintained, and kept clean. Lots of options for anything you're looking for. Staff is super friendly too! Parking is a little iffy, and check out lines are usually pretty backed up. Their prices are higher than other food stores tho.

Senior citizens' day is on Tuesday!I happened to be a senior!The store was busy! When leaving, it got even busier! The cashier was great! The employee (Bob) bagged my order, and he was great too! All the employees are awesome! Thank you, Gerrity's!As always, the Fresh Grocer cashiers are very nice, polite, and very helpful, and they handle my items with the utmost care when bagging my order!What more can I say!!!

Best selection and prices for pastries, breads and all baked products. Not just because the Meadow Ave location is closest for me as I've shipped their other locations. Rotisserie chickens are the best ! And the deli has a great selection and good service.

A very nice store, the only thing I didn't like was the parking lot was really busy. Other then that the prices were good. A good selection of cheesecake and the customer service workers were very nice. I liked this store a lot more then the one in moosic. And it was a plus that we were there the day before Easter and all the candy was half off.

We go grocery shopping there for work. Normally the workers are really nice, the last time I went I got a really rude cashier. I won't go lower on stars because of one rude worker. Their prices are fair, sometimes they are out of stuff we need. It's a nice grocery store.

I am now The Best Dishwasher And Rotisserie Chicken Cook position for Gerrity's Super Market Deli Worker that took the position I've been working here for about a month in a half now and I love working with new and exciting people. The paycheck is good the food is amazing and out of this world. Come shop at Gerrity's Super Market on Meadow Avenue in Scranton Pennsylvania USA. There are discounts everyday. And if you need a job they don't discriminate. Besides against the law to discriminate anyone from working at any jobs that you apply for.

This place would be better with fresh produce. If you buy it, you have to use it within the first 24-48 hrs or it goes bad (most of the time). I went in a few times and the tomatoes were squishy and my daughter picked up an avocado and her thumb went straight through it. We told an employee and they said, "oh" and that was it. Good for a quick grab something but not to do your full shopping.

Store prices still too high, oh well, and not as many sale/price reductions as Shop Rite of Moosic though they are now affiliated with Shop Rite as well. Just use them for a quick stop as they are close, but do our big weekly order at Shop Rite of Moosic. We love bowl & basket brand!

Was a quick trip for seltzer water but they ended up having the dragon fruit I needed too. They were also the biggest dragon fruit I've seen in our area! Everything is always fresh, but the place is busy most of the time.

Unfortunately they have a smaller parking lot then allot of stores and they are usually pretty busy so the parking lot can be a dangerous area, so be careful and pay attention when pulling in/out of the Parking lot. They have decent prices and there food cooked in store in very good and they always have a wide selection. Their employees are always happy and helpful. This is definitely one of the better place to shop in the area.

Decent store. Am not from the immediate area, but when near choose to make a trip here if anything needed. A good bakery if your looking for fresh items from scratch. Variety of products is a plus at this store.

I have been shopping at this store for decades, and wow, has it gone downhill since their conversion to "The Fresh Grocer" 11 days ago. Prices are up across the board, and by a lot, when you can actually find the item you are looking for. They don't have much in the way of groceries in the store; lots and lots of empty shelf space which is far beyond the supply chain issues that are still occurring. This is more like Soviet Block countries or some post-apocalyptic nightmare. Yet there are hoards of workers taking the few items left off the shelves and repositioning them elsewhere. These folks consistently block the aisles and don't care that paying customers can't get to items. I stopped in a few days ago to get a loaf of bread and a can of chicken broth. The cheapest bread they had was the new store brand of white and it was $2.49 for a normal size loaf. There was not 1 single can of chicken broth to be had in the store. Empty shelf space and one large carton of an overpriced brand of chicken broth. Although I only live a few blocks away, I am going to have go elsewhere. Such a shame, as they had a good reputation for treating their employees well and being good community members.

Many employees throughout the store stocking shelves. Stuffed with inventory seemed like a lot. Used a gift certificate and upon completion of checkout questioned " do I need a card?" The female cashier snapping at me. Big store, can't let a few bad apples spoil the whole basket.

I like it because it's the closest one to my house. They carry most of what I like, I don't like their sandwich spread, only because they make it with ham. Other than that it's great.

Absolutely the best grocery store around. Great prices, great selection and the bakery is out of this world. When I walk in the store I would to buy everything, especially the breads and cakes.
