Today I went in around 9am to browse the tumblers. I ended up purchasing a 30oz tumbler for myself.. it was really cute too ! I ran into my friend at a different store and showed her the tumbler. She wanted one also, so I told her I’d go back and see if there were any left for her. Fast forward to about 11am, I went back and there were only 40oz tumblers left in the color I had gotten. I knew my friend really wanted the 30oz so I decided I would get the bigger one for myself and give her the 30. Well I went up to check out, and behind the counter I saw a 30oz one sitting there.. so I asked the guy if I could purchase that one instead of the 40oz I had brought up. He was very nice and sold it to me no problem, I walked out to my car and took the cup out of the bag of send a photo of it to my friend.. and I’m glad I did. There was a big dent in the bottom and the paint was cracked. I’m assuming this is why it was behind the counter to begin with. I went straight back into the store and grabbed a bigger one to exchange it. I was absolutely baffled when the cashier handling the exchange said to me “it definitely wasn’t broken.” As if I had broken it within the 2 minute trip to my car. My face turned bright red and I was super embarrassed. I was very polite about the whole situation.. I just wanted a cup that wasn’t broken. Please teach your cashiers to be nicer.. that was super uncalled for. She was the same cashier who rang me out the first time I stopped in, she was nice the first time, I don’t know why she felt the need to say that to me for the exchange.

This past Friday was the first time my children tried climbing a rock wall, the initial staff member who assisted us and provided directions was rather reserved and not much of a conversationalist. However, another staff member, Chris, stood out remarkably. He paused his work to motivate my children to persist, particularly my son. Chris excelled in offering guidance and support, conversing with my son at challenging moments to help him decide his next move, which eventually led him to succeed in ringing the bell at the top. We were immensely grateful to Chris for his encouragement and support in helping my son reach the summit.

I set up an appointment to get fitted for a set of golf clubs. They set me up with Steven he was great, went through different Club types. The technology used to figure out my swing was incredible. it was a great couple hours. I came away with a great set of clubs, And a great experience. THANK YOU!

Was going down to dicks sporting goods and instead went to the field and stream store. It was a pretty cool surprise to see one. The selection was nice as well as the mounts. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. I will definitely return to this store

Easy parking. Friendly staff. They do not always have the answers about products or pricing. Some of the prices are high. I liked it better when they had Field & Stream as a neighbor.

I’ve been coming to Dick’s for 35 years. Was super excited to check out the new store front. But unfortunately this was my last time. I come here mainly for hunting gear. They got rid of it all and I couldn’t have been more disappointed. Checked out the fishing section and was shocked at how expensive it all was. Staff couldn’t have been nicer though. It’s a sad day in my world because I loved this store so much. R. I. P. Dick’s.

I left $150 pair of Brooks there because there was only 1 person working in that area and I felt bad for them. After 20 minutes I gave up. It wasn't his fault and he was doing the best he could.

I went in looking for a pair of intermediate figure skates and they carried nothing for any type of figure skating but they did have things for hockey. I want and asked one of the employees to see if the had them anywhere and they said that ‘it’s not a sport we have here’ even though they have everything else. But I really think that they should have figure skating equipment because it is an Olympic sport! All this to say don’t go there for figure skates.

Loving the new place, setup isn't that great especially with the baseball, there is some to the left when you walk in then back across the entrance way on the other side there is more. Just put it together.Sales staff is usually friendly and helpful.Prices are steep, the only way to save is to find coupons or flash sales. Or just shop an online retailer like I do, you can never go wrong with that.

The fishing section used to be pretty good. The trout/fly fishing section was really good. Now it sucks. Fishing is a year-round sport. Ice fishing to out in the boat. This location is close to the Susquehanna River. They fish that all year. Now they have rock climbing and pickle ball gear. Let me know how much of that stuff you're selling from October to March. I wasn't disappointed when they stopped selling guns. The prices were way too much. The old store was nice. The fishing section was good, and sometimes you'd find a deal on a hunting blind or camo gear. No wonder the stock is going down. Bring back Gander Mountain. This place sucks. They have more $150+ fishing poles than what an average fisherman would buy. I fish tournaments, I'm not buying too many $150 rods. They get beat up, tossed around, kicked off the boat, and just don't last. Their's better deals out there. The only reasonable rubber is the Yum products. Grand opening, grand closing.

New store is very nice. It looks cool, is well organized and spacious, but I don’t go there for visual stimulus. I go there for outdoor and sports gear. It is just less stuff in a bigger store with a bunch of lights and displays… disappointing. Bass Pro or Cabela’s please come save us!

Useless sporting goods store, doesn’t have anything but workout clothes and super expensive ice coolers. It’s wasting valuable retail space please close this store and replace it with something useful for sportsmen.

I just stopped in to see what exercise balls you had in stock. You had only the 75cm ball. 🤔 You state you have exercise equipment of all brands,but your store didn't have the 65cm or 55 cm exercise ball. (I am 5'2 so I use the 55cm size.) Very disappointed with your Scranton Store. That's why I gave you the 1 star. Your staff was very nice and apologized.

The newly renovated Dick’s is definitely a plus but since getting rid of field of stream..no more hunting stuff or guns/ammunition which is a big negative for me. So guess I’ll be going elsewhere to find hunting supplies

Found "temporary store" in Green Ridge shopping center. Hours were listed online as open, but was told by staff member that they are not. It seems like the management could do a better job using google to inform their customers what's going on. Why is the main Dickson City location even closed? :( Just asking for better information.

No sporting items in the store. Only kids stuff like golf, baseball, and soccer. The brands can be found in walmart for less. Spend the extra time and visit a Bass Pro or Cabelas for the adults.

This is a nice store. Very big in size. I love how I can go here and skip over next door is field and stream. The only complaint I have is online it says they have football jerseys but then you go in the store and they don't have them. I asked a worker and they said they don't have them in the store. Other then that it's a nice store. A lot of other sports stuff.

So just an hour ago I had an amazing experience at DICK’S. I was navigating the world of Fishing and was unfamiliar with everything and anything. I was approached by JASON UO In the fishing section. I asked for help and he spend the next 1 hour explaining to me which rods to buy, how to fit in the strings , hooks, weights , floating stuffs , how to throw the hook and the list goes on.Everything I purchased came with a price tag but I was more than willing to pay to have a great first experience. What didn’t come with the price tag was Jason’s help and his time and that’s something beyond selling stuffs. He did everything for me today so that I have an amazing experience tomorrow.I am blessed. Being thankful doesn’t even describe my experience.

Went to Dickson city store for another Airgun and to my surprise they were removed from the store. What a joke! Drove to Monroe County and grabbed our new AR airgun there. My 6 year old daughter is ready to learn safety and Scranton attempted to get in the way... you failed!!
