Absolutely terrible that those small animals are living in such filth. It’s evident that cages haven’t been cleaned in God knows how long. No bedding for the rabbits and the rats seem to be immensely distressed. I will be reporting this business and I hope to God it gets shut down and that those poor animals find loving homes. Anywhere is better than this place. Please don’t ever spend a dollar here.

After reading these reviews about the store I imagine I would have had to call Animal Control after I left. It wasn’t really that bad.Now, first off, it’s a very OLD store, the cashier told me they’ve been at that store for 29 years, the building looks about that old. I asked her if they had dog treats, which she informed me that they don’t have much. I looked around and couldn’t find any. There really isn’t that much inside the store, but it still was dirty.The fish tanks are disgusting, they needed a good cleaning. The exposed piping was interesting, but the walls and surrounding areas are gross. You wouldn’t even have to close the store to clean. It’s a small enough store with limited product, it could be cleaned easily.Limited product is an understatement as well. Each 4ft shelf had two, maybe three things on it, not much.There were TONS of “no photography/video” signs posted around the store, which felt weird, but private business = they can do that.The animals (snakes, bunnies, rats) looked healthy, but the cages were very dirty, poo filled, and unorganized. There were incorrect signs on the snakes (albino on a ball python enclosure).Overall I didn’t have an issue with the store employee/owner. I cracked a joke and she didn’t laugh, but I tell terrible jokes, so that one’s on me.Honestly, I wanted to support this local business (as the sign on the exterior of the building, as well as signs printed on the inside) tell people to buy local, but there’s not really much to buy there.

I had told my associate about this place having Koi fish because he was looking and wanted a good supplier for their own reasons. I noticed this place has been around for quite some time. I wish I had done my homework with them. My associate actually has a scientific background therefore does everything to a T. The Koi he bought died in less than a few days! When he asked if they could replace or refund him. They said no. Very sad. I didn't think a place this bad with these types of problems could last for so long. I mean just look at the other reviews & pictures! How is this place even still running and how have they been around for so long !?

Very few animals to Look at. . Basically looked like they were almost closing down. Only had a couple fish, 3 Beta fish which is why we went there an very few things to pick through. My son stacked 2 of the Fish food containers ontop of eachother an the lady said it Nicely, But in a rude way.. If that falls and breaks someone will have to pay for that?!. Like lady, It's Cardboard with a plastic top & He's 3 years old. I'll give ya the $5 if magically the seal busts open & it were deemed " Broken" .. Seemed like a mom & pop shop that got put outta business from the bigger corporations rolling in . .

Was there a few days ago. NEVER BUY FISH FROM HERE, the tanks are disgustingly filthy, dead fish are being eaten by the fish that are still alive, the terrible smell of the building will give you an absolute headache!!!! Took 2 pictures of the dead fish in the tank and my guess Is they are all infected with ICK

I only go there if it's my last option her prices are Reddiculous. I seen her selling small rats for medium and large. I will never go back there after the other day where she charged me 5.09 for a rat pup I feel bad for people who have to buy more then 1 or 2 I totally understand she's a small business but there are other small business that don't sell a rat pup for 5 bucks it's crazy.i rather drive 15 more min and pay alot less for a rat ĺĺfish tanks OMG they look like they haven't been cleaned in years she really needs to start caring more about her shop.

Got quoted a price for fish and got there they raised the price . the staff was annoyed with me for asking for help......I got fish bagged with ice cold water and within 5 minutes there was no air left in the bag...the store is very dirty and smells like rodent droppings....animal control would run out of tickets if they were to Wright them...I have seen cleaner bathrooms at a truck stop.dont waste your time and money

This store is so disgustingly dirty it should've been closed down. My sister in law bought a lizard one that died in no time. After seeing the inside I would never give them my business.

Place is very dirty and smells. Tanks are barron and lots of algae in all of them. Would not recommend buying anything there.

I got my kitten from here about a year ago in April, I planned on adopting but realized they only sold animals when I went there. Anyway the kittens were being kept in a small glass box with no food or water and litter was absolutely everywhere. The worker was on the phone with what sounded like a friend most of the time I was there. I went to take a picture of their cat food to remember the name, I quickly got scolded and told there’s no pictures allowed inside. No wonder why, the poor fish and turtles, snakes are kept in tiny filthy cages. This place is disgusting. And the owner is incredibly rude. I don’t know how they haven’t gotten shut down yet.

Wasn't stocked on pond pumps, when they are it's like a thousand gallons and up. The store and the tanks could use a good cleaning. Friendly service.

It was kind of dirty throughout most the reptile cages and we asked to get a better view of the tree frogs to any capacity as we were interested in potentially purchasing a couple, but the lady was pretty adament they didn't show them at all. I've owned amphibians and reptiles for YEARS so I am aware of the limitations of handling certain species, but the cage was so dirty and from the angle they were all resting against the glass it was hard to tell what species of tree frog they even were. We would've been happy to have stepped into the back room or have the tank just moved slightly to see but it didn't feel like we were getting anywhere unfortunately. Some of the prices for tanks were reasonable and we may be back again to see if it was just an off day as we try to support local businesses. But current first impressions bummed us out a bit.

some of the fish i got from them died from the exact same thing, not only that but some died the day i got them! animals are in terrible condition, disgusting and sick. petsmart is awful and somehow has better conditions than this. all enclosures crowded and dirty. their feeders gave my friends snake a deadly disease. their fish gave all of my fish a deadly disease. this place should NOT be open.

All fish are infected with ick and goldfish are deformed. The tanks are disgusting and do not look like they have ever been cleaned. The lady that works there was very arrogant and the most unfriendly person I have ever met. I would not recommend this place for anything aquatic. I can not comment about the other animals but the customer service or lack their of would be an understatement after she dropped the back of fish on the counter and let them slide over to me like she was playing cornhole. Wasted $100 bucks in this store and was treated like I wasn’t worth her time.

It is not exactly the cleanest establishment why I gave it a 4 star. It is a family owned business with various things from all sorts of fish etc. The prices a 1/4 or the price of PetSmart etc. The knowledge they have is amazing far outweighs that of workers at PetSmart that just are trained to do a position and do not have the extensive knowledge.

It genuinely baffles me how this business is still operating legally. The conditions of their reptiles is utterly atrocious. Dead reptiles in the tanks for days alongside half dead sick reptiles. It's disgusting. The fish tanks look like they haven't been properly cared for since the early 90s. The puppies are in horrible conditions and the smell in their "cages" could gag a maggot. This place is the absolute most foul and neglectful pet related store I've ever had the misfortune of walking into. Anyone who walks in there and doesn't get disgusted should be ashamed of themselves. This dump NEEDS to be permanently shut down and the owners should be charged with animal cruelty and neglect.

Animals are kept in absolutely deplorable conditions. The store smells extremely foul the moment you enter the door, and everywhere you look there are signs stating that no photos are allowed. These animals are not cared for properly, they’re barely cared for AT ALL. The “no picture” rule only exists to stop the owners of this disgrace of a pet store from being exposed for their horrible mistreatment of animals. This store needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY.

The owner is nice but when your buying crickets fir your pets and tell her the amount she gives you half of what you paid for. As a pet store owner it’s not cool to do that to people who are paying for them and need them for there pets. She rips you off. I’ve bough hairless rats here also and they grew with hair on the both of them. They were just naked babies not hairless.

Bought a ball python from there 2 weeks ago . The woman who sold it was very knowledgeable. The snake is handled every day, and has never tried to bite. They had him feeding on rats, which is definitely preferred, and he has eaten with no issues. I was going to purchase one from Petsmart, but I got it from D C for over $150 less than I would have spent there. Definitely not disappointed.

This place is disgusting. Smells like cigarettes. I went in to look at the fish I was so disappointed. Their tanks are so dirty and there are so many dead fish. The prices are alright as they should be because the keep them in horrible conditions. They overcharge for a lot of the pet food though stuff you can get like 5-10 dollars cheaper at places close by. The poor rats and mice in those tiny tanks too.

Disgusting! Walk into the place and you are greeted by a gigantic sign that says “No photos or videos.” and a vile smell. I was thinking to myself, what a HUGE red flag! No wonder that sign is there, if anyone were to take photos and videos, this place would be shut down. Poor little hairless rats had MITES, fish tanks had so much green junk on them, and the bottom of the rabbit cages were COVERED in feces! It is unbelievable this place is still operating. Anyone who rates this as 5 stars is delusional, if not neglectful for animals themselves. Something needs to be done.

Seemed like a nice little family business. I found their prices and inventory sightly on the high side but that's understandable because they can't charge like big chain stores. Maintenance and upkeep on the facility could use some attention but overall the individuals running the place seemed to be friendly and pleasant.

I don't think this place has changed since I was a teenager. I've gotten many pets here throughout the last 25 years. Fish are always in good shape. Bought a puppy here wants, I remember not being happy that his grandfather was in his bloodline five different times but he was a good dog.cheapest place I know to purchase damsels when you just starting out of saltwater tank it's perfect.

We just went here to get crickets for our new tarantula. We’re new to taking care of this creature and the lady was very rude. She talked down to us instead of trying to offer help. She made it known that she NEVER sold just one cricket to a customer before. We asked if she sells tarantulas and just said YUP. Didn’t direct us to where they are or anything. For someone who does sell them you think she’d be nicer. Also said she couldn’t offer us any knowledge unless we bought the pet there which was very immature.
