I like that it's in walking distance from my apartment at Mulberry Towers. I can go there get milk and pick up something to with my food stamps. I just moved to downtown Scranton and there aren't that many places I can go to within walking distance.I do think it's dark inside and makes it hard to see things. I don't like that you have to buy something and get the keys before you can use restroom. There aren't many places to go downtown and sometimes you really need to go.

Stopped by to grab some booze and didn’t realize they had a whole deli. Got a chicken salad on a wrap and it was delicious. Staff is cool too.

The best place to go downtown for drinks,food,beer, Bakery cigarettes and lots more plus just got soft ice cream there's even a Dunkin Donuts inside

The people who work there is very disrespectful n unprofessional especially the people in the deli section. Ive never met such disrespectful rude incompetent people in my life. If you dont like your job simply quit and find a job where you dont need to be around people. No one deserves to be treated like they are the bottom of their shoe. Get it together

The deli counter is the best in Scranton. If you want a meal that is made with love, packed with food, reasonably priced, and FAST, I strongly suggest the City Market Deli. The workers are courteous, kind, and their attention to detail is second to none.

This is my go to place for great deli sandwiches & fantastic home made dishes ranging from pasta salad to pierogis to various desserts. The store also has what equates to a large convenience store with a large beverage selection... everything from water, milk, soda, beer, & wine. The prices are more than fair & the staff is friendly. One of the best parts is the store is open late & walkable from just about every hotel in downtown Scranton.

It’s lovely that they have bread delivered daily from local bakeries to make the sandwiches. You can also purchase it. Very good beer selection, and the only place downtown to buy wine to go. Convenient.

I would not know about this establishment because they kicked me out for life. I told one of the ex co-worker off that used to work here for making a mistake on one of my orders or items that I was purchasing at the time. I don't shop here no more since they want to be Discriminating about who can go back to their store. They have people robbing their store every single day and they only caught a few of them, some of them mostly find a way to get back into their store and still be able to Shop there and or other people to shop for them,At this same very City Market Cafe.

Great kitchen and homemade meals. Vegetables Lasagna, swedish meatballs and piggies "stuffed cabbage, are WONDERFULLY seasoned. All cold meals are TERRIFICALLY TASTING and delicious. Hands down some the best grab and go meals. I'VE NEVER GOTTEN ANYTHING WITHOUT GREAT QUALITY FLAVOR......GRRRRRRREAT.Great for cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, lottery tickets and a lot of EVERY DAY necessities

I like the store itself, but the day shift staff really rub me the wrong way. I have been accused of stealing a 69 cent pack of fun because I didn't pay for it before I bought lottery tickets from the machine. They kick me out when I try to eat in, during the day. But at night time they have a great staff who is friendly and courteous.

the deli sandwiches are amazing, the menu is fantastic, good friendly service. AMAZING selection of beers (a little pricey tho). best Ruben ive ever had in this city. lots of snack foods, big selection of non-alcoholic beverages. they even carry cat and dog food, fresh produce, frozen goods, milk, eggs, cleaning products. way better than turkeyhill!

Love this little market. So convenient. Have everything you could need. Beer, wine, food, milk, eggs, fresh veggies, deli meats and cheeses. They also have prepared foods like wraps, quesadillas, chicken bites, salads. Everything I've tried has been delicious (steak and cheese quesadilla with chipotle ranch sauce is my fave) The workers are all super nice. They are open early and close late. A true gem downtown.

I spent 30$ at the deli. Got some turkey, ham, chicken, and a pepper turkey. They slice the meat which took almost half hour, then i get home to see they're labled 'deli meat and cheeses' REALLY?!?! label it correctly by putting the actual name of the deli meat on the label like any other grocery store! I wont use the deli ever again! Other than the deli, its a great store!!!!

Wonderful addition to downtown. The beer selection is decent, the wine slushies (yes, that's a thing) are great, and the food selection in the deli is clean and fresh. The addition of the Dunkin in the shop is icing on the cake, but it can often get bogged down with college kids.

I have a Brain injury . I asked the black lady who worked there where was the wine? she said "you didn't look, its right there". She was very nasty. Who is the owner of this store. I know several people who have the same complains about her. She is nasty . if u don't like your job leave.

This is a Convenient Store, part of that franchise chain with a fancy name.Originated for U of S students and the millennium crowd that bar hops that area.It is a small market. Lots of beer, wine and malt liquor icee's.But be prepared to pay Convenient $$$.Bottom line downtown Scranton NEEDS a supermarket !!!
