Things are changing and it doesn't seem for the better. Would absolutely love to get ready-to-eat bananas every now and then not hard green ones. And bring back the good food in the express, like the week of meatball subs or cheese steaks.5-24 these are the fries we were given from the schaefferstown dutchway restaurant...no salt and very dark.

First time shopping here, great store with a nice selection. The store is clean and laid out nicely with wide aisles. The store has a little bit of everything the prices are excellent. The produce, meat and bakery departments are awesome.The staff is very friendly and cheerful. Checkout was a breeze.

Employees are friendly and store is clean, but bakery and deli products are poor quality. I have bought cheese several times that tasted old and was sour, and had to throw it out. Also bought lunch meat that was slimy. Also bought dinner rolls and they were totally inedible. 😬 Very heavy and just a hunk of half baked dough. They had a very weird taste and we had to throw them out. What a waste of money.

Ordered a to-go meal from the restaurant on a Monday night. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. It took 35 minutes and they did not give the right kind of fries that I ordered, also had requested no onions in my sandwich but they must have forgotten!🙁 There was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time, so they were not busy! unprofessional waitresses! However the food was good!

Great place to shop and save, often have sales on their meet. Great way to stock pile, 48 steaks and countless other cuts all for $200 not bad

Stopped for a quick breakfast- not! One waitress. Extremely slow. Took order after loooong wait almost left. Left order sitting when it came out while she cashed people out and refilled coffee. Food cold . Pancakes with no butter. Not great. Had to wait along with 2 others to pay. Waitress was MIA . Nobody around except lady stocking salad bar. Customer at counter said was waiting 45 min for her breakfast!!

We drove an extra hour just to buy their milk. Vanilla, strawberry, orange, and chocolate milk because my son loves it. I like it but will not drive an hour for it. I can't say no to my wife, so I have to do it.

Great place to get the stuff you need. Friendly staff both times we were here. It is nice you can grab something to eat at the restaurant in the front entrance of the store. Food is great and it is reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to stop again next year when I’m back in town.

Finally remembered this place was so close to me, I love smoked cheeses as well as chicken croquettes which can never be found at chain grocery stores so will definitely be shopping here from now on.. oh and they have smoked sausage pot pie that is amazing as well! Prices are a little higher but it's homemade type items vs bulk manufactured food products that make it worth it.

Foyer has really gone downhill and so has the customer service overall. Used to shop here multiple times a week. Had a horrible expierence at the deli a few weeks back where I was ignored while waiting patiently and other customers who were there AFTER me were serviced. The woman who works at the foyer is always in a bad mood and the "christ like manner" is forgotten, the older woman who works there sometimes clearly despises working in the foyer and her attitude reflects that, she refuses to speak to the customer directly. Foyer fried chicken is often sitting untouched under heat lamp for several hours so by the time you come for lunch its no longer fresh, and you can taste it. The pretzel dough is fresh made but they can't seem to bake them correctly. No golden color on top, top of the pretzel white and uncooked, while the bottoms are always burnt black! It's a good indicator they need to turn the heat down and bake for a little longer. It would be nice if the side dishes changed from time to time, even weekly but it never changes. Mac n cheese, corn, other locations sometimes have broccoli and other options.There's been plenty times when the foyer bar is empty at 11:30am. There has been a lack consistentcy & quality has really suffered.

It would be great if milk would be stocked better. I could see more of what I wanted back in the cooler but someone wasn't doing there job to keep the milk front were I can get it!

Dutch Way is a smaller central Pa chain of grocery stores. The usual rules apply here. Stick to the outside of the store. The meat department and the bakery are the shining stars. The pies are great. The reality here though is you may find a spot deal or two, but the markup on other things will get you. There's probably better options to take your dollar further or better quality products.

I was surprised with their prices on some items with everything being so expensive now they have a lot of lower prices than weis. And they have a very nice meat department. They do not sell hellavgood dip though not sure if it's cause of the name 🤔 but I'm definitely coming back. Best of all they have real actual live cashier's!!!!

Stopped in mainly for dinner. I had the soup and salad buffet which included dessert which was only $9.99 the dessert I got was peanut butter chocolate pudding. Very good.

Meats are great but fruits and veggies are nasty and look like they have been sitting around forever in a truck. My suggestion go here for meat and deli then go to a real farmers market for fruit and veggies.

I live an hour away from the closest Dutch Way, so I only make the trip for their meat sales. Ham loaf mix is to die for! Plus the guys in the meat dept are quick to help cut up a big pork loin for you or make another bag of ham loaf for you if the bin is empty. This past weekend I got to the Schaefferstown store... Just a nice as the Gap store!

We stopped into this store one evening around 8:30 as they close at 9:00 pm and we were so upset with the customer service we received that we had to walk out. As we walked into the store, the manager saw us at the register and immediately turned her head to the other cashier and said “really more customers” and rolled her eyes at us as we walked into the store. We were so disappointed with the reception that we left immediately. Terrible customer service.

Great locally owned grocery store. Be sure to check out their homemade salads and soups in the deli. Their hot bacon dressing is the best I've ever had.

This hometown grocery store is locally owned and operated. I've worked there in years past, but today I only stopped in to get ice cream and a soft pretzel from their snack bar. These two items are fantastic. The pretzels are doughy, but don't seem undercooked. The ice cream is incredibly creamy. It's an excellent spot to grab a snack.
