This place has everything you could want although the store can be a little picked over at times. I do want to mention an employee named Austin - he is wonderful! super frienely. A woman forgot a bag and he ran outside after her to make sure she didn't forget it! Give this man a raise - this is the customer service we NEED in America! thank you Austin. 😀

I absolutely LOVE this store! You wouldn't believe the stuff I just brought home that was all 70% off already clearance price! When you have a larger family and are pretty stretched with our income, it makes me feel so good coming home with tons of bags and only spending a smaller amount!!! This store location is very clean, well stocked and has very friendly employees!

I love to go to Dollar General 👍!They have a wide selection of home decor! Sheets, pillows, pictures, vases, frames, sign decor, faux plants , bathroom accessories, towels, kitchen accessories, including tools for the kitchen 😀.Food items, snacks, drinks, candy 🍬, cards, etc.They have everything that you need plus so much more!!!You will be addicted to shopping 🛍 here!!Handicap ♿ parking is available, and is located near the front door for easy access. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair to fit through! 👍😃 💯 satisfaction!

The manager of this store is absolutely ineffective. She has not properly trained the staff in using the pos devices, every time they encounter something that may not be a simple scan and check out it is an unbelievable production and delay in time. This store simple was not prepared for the increase in business from the closing of Friedman's. When I strongly voiced my opinion to her I was asked to leave and if I didn't she was going to call the police. I just want to grab a couple of items and leave asap. I have paid as much as double at Friedman's simple to avoid this store. Another family member shopped there just to have to wait in line for the SINGLE employee at the check out station to proceed to blow up balloons. Every time you walk in there no one is there to check you out you always have to wait. The stock is always left in the isles never on the shelves and in the coolers. God forbid if you open a case up to get what you want you might have to do a little time in prison for such an infraction. Avoid this store. And as far as the issue on how I was treated and threatened with the police that is far from over.

Avoid this store... When this store can be brought up in conversation and everything said is negative, there's a problem. The store manager needs replaced, she is irate and irrational with not only customers, but with employees. She scolds employees directly in front of customers and talks about them behind their back directly in front of customers. She is the reason this store seems to have such a high turnover rate. There can be a long line of customers waiting to checkout, but she can't be bothered with getting on register to assist. Corporate needs to do something, I will not be back to this store!

This dollar store is 5 minutes from me and Walmart is 25. I could drive to Walmart and back and still be waiting in the check out line at DG. There is no order what so ever. I’ve been constantly cut in front of because people don’t know what line is for what... if there is even two checkouts open. You can’t ask for help because there is only ever one person in sight. Way understaffed and it’s taking way to long for DG to realize that. If the line is back by the toilet paper you’d think someone would come and open a second cash register instead of stocking shelves. I’ve picked up items that have been extremely dusty and very stale. This store is set up horribly. Worst Dollar General.

While you couldn't do your complete weekly shop at Dollar General, they are great for getting you by when you just need a few things to get you to your grocery day shop. Prices are always comparable with the bigger stores.

Get what you need in a quick way lots of choices get food gifts clothes toys knick knacks you get the idea a one place shop and great hours you forgot something at the grocery store just grab it at dollar general they have most everything your looking for

If Desiree is at register, you midaswell turnaround and leave. Slowest cashier at dg, doesnt care and wount ask for help when the line is clean threw the isle....

This store has gone to hell!!! I should never have to wait over 45 mins in line to check out! Staff is rude and uneducated and overworked!!! It’s always a disaster when I patron that store! I’m not the only person complaining about this! Shape up or close it down!!! Not like we don’t have 5,000 other Dollar Generals!!! It’s sad because it’s the only store that comes close to a grocery store in Saxonburg!!! I WILL NOT SHOP HERE! If the damn staff would stop socializing and do some work that would be great too!!!

Just a regular Saturday trip to DG.Inventory was pretty good....the store was busy.Employees kept on top of the lines ... good job!

Overcrowded aisles make navigating difficult, especially with shopping carts. Only a couple employees act like they might care...the rest are too busy trying to hide from customers. They're not allowed to order what the regular customers want, but instead are given what some suit in the main office decides they should sell. And their hours change constantly without warning.

There are not ever enough people working or they are really slow behind the counter at the Saxonburg branch so I try to either go to Route 8 or 356 store even though sometimes it's not the most convenient.
