Beautiful gift shop, bird feeders and supplies, nature education resources and ice cream in the freezer! Great place to visit on the way to/from Todd Nature Reserve or while enjoying an outing on the Butler Freeport Trail. Water fountains and restrooms.

Great park with paved walking trails next to streams, wide enough for bikes too. I recommend checking out the Auburn nature center too - cute little shop and bathrooms.

Great place to explore nearby on bike or walking. The new depot-looking building has a great gift shop and bathrooms And there's a nice play spot outside with a climbing structure and nest and field to run around. The only thing that frustrated me was there was an event going on in the building and drivers insisted on, despite lots of children milling around, taking a shortcut and driving the wrong way through the very clearly marked one way loop so that they could park sooner... even though there was plenty of parking. They just didn't want to spend the extra 40 seconds going around the loop. So, watch your kids as people think one way signs are optional there, and/or hold your ground like I did to a stubborn BMW driver for whom I didn't move out of his way as he gestured and whined because, as a bicycle vehicle, I was facing in the correct direction of the loop and helping usher other adults and many kids on bikes as we moved in the correct direction and would have had so many witnesses had he tried to drive over me. I won't post his license plate publicly, but I saved it in case he tried more B.S. later.Playground: Great web-like rope climbing structure. There was also a latkrge frame for adding sticks to make a giant bird's nest, a maze in flat stone on a field...all inside a large gated area for safety from the parking lot.Restrooms: Clean and new, just limited hours, check them out so you get back from your adventures before they close I believe at 5pm. The water isn't potable, and there's a sign saying so, but it should maybe be translated into a few different languages and explained in picture form as I'm not sure if everyone knows what this means. (Maybe there was a picture along with the words, I cannot remember.)

One of my favorite places to bring my bike, terrific maintained trail, gentle slope, follows the river and great wildlife viewing (saw a family of bald eagles last year!).

Staff is phenomenal. Nice gift shop and it has a great rental space with a nice view. Perfect for parties, get togethers etc.

The cutest little nature center that is conveniently located right off the Freeport-Butler trail. Great selection of nature themed items in the gift shop and run by the sweetest people.

Very pretty building good for a picnic , the people working there was super nice and crazy helpful on telling what and where to go .Restrooms: Super clean , only open till 5 pm Picnic area: Nice area no trash cans .
