Nice place! They had everything i needed along with good advice. Just starting to raise chickens for eggs. This is where i will get all of my supplies.Update:My 3 (used to be baby) chicks are now 16 weeks old so they should start laying eggs in two weeks....(they start between 18 & 22 weeks old)Along with my other two chickens which are almost 3 years old, soon I should have 5 eggs per day😀It was fun raising the baby chicks and my family loved it, especially the kids! All my chickens love sitting inside my garden...lolEvery morning I go out back and open their coop, they all run around my feet to say good morning then we all walk over to the garden together and I feed them all fresh cherry tomatoes 🍅 😋 as I eat a few too...lolWe ❤️ our chickens 🐔 especially my youngest child.

We have been buying bird seed & suet, pet supplies, garden supplies, etc. at Davis Feed Mill since the 80's. They have a friendly, informed staff and fair prices. I would highly recommend!!!!!!

I live in lower makefield and its a bit of a drive but its totally worth it. They are the nicest people I have ever dealt with in a pet store. I have rabbits and will never get them food from anywhere other than davis. Its fresh and the bunnies love it. Their prices are great too. Thank you so much for everything!! The two women in the store are so nice and sweet!!! Thanks again you have a new return customer!!!! If ur reading this go there!!! You will see for yourself!!

I was shopping here for many moons. I'm surprised at the number of 5 star reviews. First, the guys doing all the heavy lifting in the back are so friendly and knowledgeable. They're great. This isn't about them.However, the women at the counter couldn't be grumpier. They act as if you're bothering them when you're ready to pay. And the prices... the prices of these products are way too jacked up. I stuck it out for many years wanting to support small business, but my final straw came this past winter when I asked one of the women if they carry the Standlee compressed hay bales. The nasty attitude she gave me when she told me she didn't know what I was talking about turned me off from this place for good. I'm done. It's not worth it, for me, to support this place. Luckily a Tractor Supply opened up nearby.

You can get any type of pet food at this place. It is the best place to buy dog cat bird horse cow chicken. You name it. They sell the food for them.

I never knew this place was right in my area and family owned! Prices were maybe a little bit higher, but considering I don't have to drive all the way to a chain store, the gas savings alone is worth it, plus you get local knowledge. Just wish chicks were available a little longer in the season. Will definitely be returning in the near future for feed and in March for chicks.

I'm giving two stars because the prices were great. Otherwise it would be one star.I called the store twice to double check hay availability and pricing. Each time the person answering the phone sounded absolutely miserable. No big deal. Some people just don't like taking on the phone. I get it. Still wanted to give them a chance.Drove there this afternoon and was met with an even ruder, older woman at the front counter. Is everyone here just miserable and unhelpful?? She was the type of rude as if my presence being there annoyed her. I understand times are strange right now. People are stressed. Yeah. I get that. But if you're going to be THAT miserable and THAT rude to your potential customers then you just need to get the hell out of a customer service job. I will not return. And I will not recommend.

I decided to drive to Davis Mills but I wasn't sure if they had any chicken feed. I usually travel down to NJ to tractor supply. The store is a bit old fashioned and it looked small and I was sure I wouldn't find what I was looking for. To my surprise they had everything I was looking for. They had the chicken feed and chicken scratch that I needed at a lower price then tractor supply. They have all your needs if your raising chickens. They also had about 5 types of bedding for my chicken coop. They had feeders and waters of all types from heated to metal to plastic. They carry way more then tractor supply. You make your purchase and hand the slip to the guys outside and they put it in your car. I will definitely be visiting them very soon. Awesome place!!!Update:Ran into the owner and he's a bit rude. He need some customer service skills. Went from 5 stars to 3 stars.

Always a delight to shop here! Both in the store and the people outside loading have been incredibly helpful. I am one of those shoppers with a million questions no matter how small the purchase (it's in my dna)... Davis Feed has always patiently answered all my questions. Once I ordered a very large amount of chick crumbles and they explained why it's more nutritious to buy a smaller amount at a time (Who downsizes a sale to your benefit?) Another time i forgot a 50# bag- and the gentleman ran out the driveway and down the edge of the road to load it! (We didn't hear him right away.) This was so far above and beyond- and he acted like it was normal customer service. Thank you all so much! My flock thanks you too!

Delivery system is very bad. They do not follow instructions. They would leave heavy loads away from supposed drop areas.Otherwise great store and great people at the store.

I am always amazed at the amount of supplies one seemingly little store can provide but I always forget just how big it really is until I visit again. We've been buying from Davis Feed for years and it's the first place we thing of when spring arrives and it's time to work on the lawn, repair fencing, and buy seed. From chicks to horses, Davis has everything you need to care for your furry and even your not so furry friends (can't leave the fish out). It's like a general store for farmers without the people food. The staff is friendly and helpful and they always seem to know where everything is when you can't seem to find it. Sometimes I look for things that I don't even need, just to stay a little longer.

Made a delivery here, got my truck unloaded in 30 minutes. Easiest way to get there with 18wheeler: I-276 to hwy 611 north then Edison furlough rd east wich turns into swamp rd. Don't take short cuts as they will cut you off

Best prices ! Friendly staff and it's locally owned not corporate like so many Terrible stores killing our local businesses! Anyway this place has all the hard to find animal feeds and more ! Along with knowledgeable friendly staff!!!
