It's a very nice neighborhood hardware store located in Park Towne Square in Royersford. Folks who work here are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I love coming here to shop just for that reason alone. Well, I go to other large-scale hardware/home improvement stores for some things (I usually watch out for some good sale items), too, but there's something to be said about good ole neighborhood stores. This location normally has really helpful, welcoming and cheerful workers both on the floor and behind the registers so I'm really sorry to say that today was a huge disappointment.There was a kid at the front register loudly telling and retelling some story about a previous customer and her coupon. This kid told 3 different coworkers about how awful this customer was in front of all of us, about ten customers in line to be helped.He was so obnoxious that it was like he thought he was on a stage or something.Like customers want to listen to how awful you think other customers are.Ace workers, actually most workers, are better than this. I'd be embarrassed for the kid if he had a shred of dignity.

I recently stopped into my local ACE Hardware in Royersford and as always was pleased with the friendly service and love the location. I had some keys made, picked up birdseed for my feeders and salt for my water softener. There was a problem with their computer and as a rewards member I had some discount cards and the check out girl was able to figure it out and get me the discount. Love the Rofo Ace ❤

Updating the review - They resolved the issue and the store manager apologized for the experience. She said this is not normal, and I will give them the benefit of doubt. They are responsive to constructive feedback, which is the most important quality in a retail store.Very poorly managed Ace store. 3 weeks ago we ordered mason jars (3 sets) for pick-up. The order gets cancelled and we are NOT told why. When we call the store they said they can't find them. Then, I ordered 2 sets for Ship-To-Store. When I go to pick them up, the cashier gives them to us, and 20 seconds later as I'm putting them into the car, I hear moving glass pieces. I see a few were completely broken. Why didn't they check this before giving them to me? I was just carrying them for 20 seconds and heard the glass. If this store actually checks items, they would have easily seen the broken jars!! This was around closing time. Some other customer (no referring to me) randomly wandered into the store. Another employee starts publicly (loudly) complaining who let more customers in. This sounded very rude and you don't make public comments like this. Then, I asked the employee if I can request some type of discount on the jars since I have to come back for another 2 sets of them. She looked at me as ifwhy would I ask for a discount? Maybe, because they didn't do their job in checking this item, and the fact that I have to spend another hour to get the items I paid for?!! She said to talk with someone name Katie the next day. I called the next day for her and a guy, Greg?, said she wasn't there that day but took my phone number for her to call me on Friday. That was 6 days ago. - THIS IS A VERY POORLY MANAGED ACE LOCATION! In our case, no attention to good customer service. Terrible experience. Choose another store if you want good customer service.

My husband, Chuck, regularly shops at the Ace Hardware store on Lewis Road, in Royersford, PA. The entire staff, especially Michelle, is always knowledgeable, helpful and they go above and beyond with their customer service. Michelle greets me by name, and is always right there to help with locating any items I need. I enjoy shopping at this Ace Hardware and the entire staff is great. I would recommend this store.

I was tasked with getting a collection of Christmas lights, and the assistant manager was extraordinarily helpful, and professional. Made my shopping experience 100% better: along with two other employees. The experience was 5 stars until…I had reached the register, a young lady with very full curly brown hair, had a very grumpy attitude..She made a whimsical remark, whilst I was signing up an account,she seemed confused,Otherwise a great experience! ; P

Poorly managed store and very pricey. Their staff can be hit or miss. Some days they are ready to help but most days they are miserable. I use to use them because they were the closest hardware store but I much rather travel now to a competitor because they know how to treat their customers.

A very convenient hardware store. Well-stocked with products you need and many you didn't know you need. My only beef is their incessant panhandling at checkout. I support many charities and am annoyed when they ask me to support their's. Otherwise, good.

The singular most important reason I shop at Ace Hardware is simple... the people.This is going to sound like a paid sponsorship... And although it's not, it's for a reason.... Because the things that make ace hardware so incredible, are the things that other stores tout as being so unique and praise worthy, when in reality, they can't hold a candle (or more apt to this review), a lantern to Ace.Ace carries nationally recognized and beloved brands as well as quality ace branded items. They are fairly competitive in pricing (sometimes higher, but they are locally owned and operated so it makes sense). They have their items organized like the big box stores do, just on a smaller and more limited scale.... But where Ace might be docked a point here or there, they Ace the test of hardware store in their staffing.It's unreal. EVERY. SINGLE. ACE has the friendliest, most helpful and genuine people working there. This store in particular is no exception.Tonight I needed some fuel for my camping lantern. Michelle was checking me out and noticed that I was buying "Coleman Camp Fuel". She was concerned that it might not be what I needed and that it might be dangerous to use in my lantern, so she took a couple seconds... Searched the ingredients (because there were none on the can) and told me it's not the same... I was appreciative that she took enough care in a customer she had interacted with for 30 seconds, to check to make sure I would be safe and was making the right purchase. It turns out I have a classic Coleman Dual Fuel Lantern that can in fact take that fuel, but the absolute insane level of customer service that Michelle and so many ace hardware employees have is mind-blowing... There is not a company out there that has the consistent and high level of customer service from their employees like Ace does.Thank you Ace and thank you Michelle.

Tried ordering grill online, site would not let me checkout. Called store to ask for help and was basically told 'it's a corporate issue'. Called main customer support line and was told they agreed it was an issue and it would be fixed in a couple of hours. That was on Tuesday - site still not working. Very frustrating

The folks in this Ace were so helpful although I wasn't able to get my car key right away I understand things on the supply end are not going well. Promised the replacement in a week. Helpful staff, very knowledgeable on store stock and locations.I came in because I needed a few quick things, but also to take my son out and practice wearing his mask. See, he's 2.5 and on the autism spectrum. I didn't *have* to bring him, but I felt like this would be a quick and easy enough trip where I could accomplish our errand but also get some mask practice in for when he'll really need it.The staff were kind, walked me to the aisles I needed, and let me focus on praising my son for keeping his mask on and holding my hand. Non-parents likely won't get this, but these moments are crucial to getting children to adopt new behaviors that don't come naturally. Really appreciate the staff helping me to get what I needed but also create a positive experience for my son.

Extremely poor service from management. Poor communication on a return process. They change their mind a couple times on me in store. One of the staff members ( older gentleman insulted me and my wife) horrible customer service. Feel bad for the few good employees there.
