I can't speak on the rooms but I ate there several times and as of 4/12/24 I refuse to go back. For 2 sausage and gravy plus hash browns orders it cost $40. I go to eat the food the hashbrowns ere not cooked the biscuits were dense heavy and just nasty. The sausage gravy had to much flour it over powered the sage. This was a to go order so I call the waitress answered I asked if they got a new cook answer yes they did. I told her I can tell I told her my order and said the cook needs lessons I'm not happy she cut me off trying to say my order sat for a hr um no it took a half hr for food to be made I came in from smoking and it came out 2 mins later I told her please don't over talk me or cut me off I am a customer that spent $40 plus ur tip she then proceeded to be a nasty Karen not letting me say anything and she was saying nasty stuff and tgen she hung uonon me i call back she hung up again witjout say hello just pick up n slam. So nvr again will I eat there and spend $40 plus to be treated like dirt. This isn't the first time I ate there the old cook was amazing andvso was the old waitress. The ppl they got there now needs better cooking lessons and a better customers service understanding. I work in the food services industry and would nvr treat customers as I was treated. Plus it was the second time the food was nasty I thought first time was oh everyone has off days but no this time food was even worse. It's a shame cause this place used to have great food n service now it's hit n miss and lucky to get good anything. Excluding the hotel rooms cause I nvr used them but have heard good about the rooms

The food served in the restaurant and lounge is good quality and well priced.Service is normally very good as well.The restaurant has new hours as they roll into 2024. The food is worth it. Just check the hours first.

We stayed 09/02/2023 - 09/03/2023 in the Double Queen Suite room.The bathroom was clean and functional, the beds comfortable hard.Altogether, the room gave the impression of not having been used in a while, a clean blanket was crumpled under the bedspread, some dust along the edges on the floor, a (defective?) refrigerator stood in the room. The door of the working refrigerator opened to the wrong side.Conclusion: The staff was very friendly, price performance was perfectly fine, if you want more, you usually have to invest $40 to $50 more.Safety: We felt safe, even for the car in the parking lot across the street seemed no danger.Food & drinks: Good American breakfast in the in-house restaurant, nice bar with billiards is for evenings also in the house.

Food was really good!!! Bartender was older and need an attitude adjustment! She was talking about cyanide while making my drink. When I said excuse me are you talking about a poison while making my drink? She stated No No No it HAS nothing to do with you...REALLY NOT THE POINT YOU ARE A BARTENDER SPEAKING ABOUT POISONING SOMEONE. THE owner called me Jessica, I have no idea of who he was referring to n the things he was saying that we had a lot of fun together. I'm not going to argue with a man that is drunk. His wife was sitting their so the bartender and the wifey must be besties. GOT MY DRINK AND WENT TO THE RESTAURANT PORTION and felt much better! The cook had a great sense of humor and cooked really awesome food!! The food was really great! Owners are kind of judgemental! He remembered me cuz I was a bartender years before at the Bronze Eagle aka "PLATINUM PIGEON" in Monaca. LOL

I would have never known...this little jem was tucked away in quiet little corner. While I didn't get a room here, we used the Cafe as a venue for our gathering. The staff and kitchen were super helpful and attentive. The entire place, from dining hall to the bathrooms, was spotless with fresh decor. I can only imagine their rooms are as exceptional.

This review is strictly about the restaurant service. Or to say the lack of. The older lady who works as the waitress seems to be genuinely perplexed that she actually works there. Half the time she is wandering around not actually doing anything efficiently. Good luck getting a refill or food within a reasonable amount of time. I sat there a solid 20 minutes without even being able to get a glass of water.

This place has amazing food! We have had breakfast here several times in the spacious dining room as well as the spacious bar/restaurant. They have the best homemade sausage gravy around, huge chunks of savory sausage, very generous! They have a great menu, nice portions, and very reasonable prices! We also are absolutely crazy about their Salmon Salad, it's the best salmon salad around, (we eat them from all over BC). The service is awesome too, everyone is so nice here. I highly recommend Rochester Hotel Dining!

It's a smaller Hotel. Love Mom and Pop shops. That being said you'll be bringing your own things up to the room. The rooms are absolutely beautiful! Especially if you're facing the river.The breakfast menu downstairs is delicious with a great venue for bigger parties. Just asking though he happy to see if they can help you. I know I've been joyed my stay here.The last thing to know it would be as with the bus station is right next door. So if you're planning on traveling on a budget and visiting Pittsburgh this is a great location

Only live 2 blocks away so hadn't had the pleasure to stay overnight, but did have the opportunity to spend the afternoon in Diamonds. Although I was only one of 4 inside at the time, I was impressed by the ease that everyone made you feel,as if you were a regular the staff were impeccable at maintaining their duties, while at the same time, going out of their way to make one feel they belonged to something special. Will get the opportunity to try the much talked about breakfast. Only two hours away. Can't wait for the delicious steak and eggs.

This review is actually for their lounge. The staff is friendly and the cook made our food so yummy it came out piping hot! I drink my coffee black and it’s important to know that it tastes superb. But don’t come with a huge appetite cause portions are very small considering the prices.

Utterly delicious breakfast! Located in a nondescript building in Rochester, you will find no sign visible from the street indicating that you are at the right location other than beer lights in the window of the Diamond Lounge. This said, you will be rewarded with a delicious breakfast for your perseverance. My better half and I both ordered "The 3 Stooges" which is 2 eggs, potato pancakes, choice of toast, and bacon or sausage. The food was delicious and generous in portion size. The small things made the difference here - the rye toast was thick sliced, when I selected sausage I was offered patties or links, and they brought plenty of cream for the coffee.

Tonight was our first visit to Rochester Hotel. The staff is super friendly, the entire place is immaculately clean and the food is wonderful. The prices are extremely reasonable especially for the service. We really enjoyed everything about the place. It's always nice when someone breathes new life into an historic building. The Rochester Hotel really is a little gem especially in an area with mostly chains and fast food. We will be back and we'll bring friends next time!

The Penn Beaver Restaurant inside the hotel is a fabulous spot to meet friends and get a bite to eat in Rochester! I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience at this place, from the staff, the cleanliness and the options available to order from the menu, I think the prices are great and the fact that they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a plus!They also have a separate bar/lounge with food and drinks as well! I have not stayed at the hotel but the restaurant is a hidden gem in Rochester, PA!Food & drinks: I have been going here once a month and was so impressed with their beef brisket dinner that I had two weeks ago! Also they have a coconut cheesecake that is to die for!

Really disappointed. Second time breakfast diner. We went the first time when it just opened. Gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were new. This time it was actually worse. We were the only customers and it took 20 minutes to get our breakfast. Food was cold, service was awful and the tables were dirty. Wait staff blamed it on the new cook. Actually they just didn't bother to pay attention that the food was done. I hope moving forward that they will make improvements or it will be another closed restaurant. First impression of the place was not good. Our bedspread was stained, and crumbs were left on the table from whoever was there before us. They also refused to refund us a for night we ended up not staying, referring to a “contract” which we never got to see. I don’t recommend this hotel.
