I have to share my experience. So I read all the other reviews on here and they must not have ever called in an emergent situation!!!! My dog has been going there for a while now. The techs that answer the phone are so cold! I called a few months back because my dog had an allergic reaction and was so swollen that she was having issues breathing. They gave me an appointment but it was six hours later!!!! Smh 🤦♀️Yesterday my dog had a seizure and I thought she was choking! I called frantic looking for some help and the girl who answered we have no appointment go to an emergency vet. I said she’s going to die please help me or guide me what to do until I get her there they are 30 minutes away and you’re 5 ! I practically begged her and she ended the call! I never felt so helpless. She was having a seizure and it lasted 10 minutes. They didn’t ask her name or anything! So I am definitely finding a vet that cares. I take my dog to the vet regularly and spend a lot of money doing so like any other pet lover. I refuse to have her be cared for by an office so callous!

Love this vet. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. My dogs are seen for their check ups and shots. My one dog just had surgery to have 2 cysts removed and I feel they gave her the best care.

Adequate care, but other than our in person visit we had no communication with the vet about our very sick cat. Techs and assistants handled all communication and were not able to answer all our questions.

This place is all about the money, not the animals. I'm surprised people actually go there. They are 5 minutes away yet I will travel 30 before I go there again

Best experience I've had with a veterinarian. I can tell all the staff really care about the animals they are treating. They care about how my dogs feel during their appointments and want them to be comfortable. Also very responsive to phone calls and happy to answer questions.

Staff is always very friendly when we have to bring our pets in for check ups (2 dogs and 1 cat). Masks are still needed in office. The checkout system is easy. Parking available out front and then you call in to let them know you’re there so they can let you in. They fixed our oldest male dog without any complications. Would definitely recommend. From what we have been told, the prices are better than other local vets.

Can't recommend this vet enough! The staff know our pets, are so friendly, and respond quickly. I feel like we get honest opinions of what's wrong and get multiple options for treatment. When our dog went to the emergency vet, Eagles Peak called first thing in the morning the next day to check in on him. It's just fantastic customer service and exceptional care for our pets.

My experience here has always been amazing. Even through the hardships of having to say good bye to a pet. They have been super accommodating. The service, personality and quality of the technicians and Doctor is beyond compare. This veterinary clinic truly cares about the well being of your animal and will go out of their way to find best solution and availability for your pet.

Today was our first visit to Eagles Peak since it changed hands. We are not comfortable with overly aggressive treatment styles. Dr. Nelson was the perfect fit for us! He gave us a number of options and potential outcomes so that we could make the best decision for our little girl. We are very grateful for his candid honesty. I think we've found our new vet!!

My dog had a skin issue. The bill was already up over $700 and we still didn't have any concrete reason as to why his skin was so dry. He also needed medication for an ear infection - again, no concrete answers as to how to get rid of it. I ended up calling other vets for some advice and was given a mixture that helped more than the medicated shampoos and expensive medications. Also, we were not new patients, and when I called for a simple appointment for my dog to get updated boosters - they couldn't fit us in for over 2 weeks. The office is nice and clean but we just felt like costs were pretty steep considering what we needed and what we got, not the best vibes. And if you need an appointment with any kind of urgency (like, within 2 or 3 weeks) I'd probably suggest going elsewhere.

We took our poor sick beagle here thinking she was done for. She was having breathing seizures, drinking excessively and not doing well.3 weeks later, she is acting like a crazy puppy again. Drs and staff are exceptionally pet oriented, and feel like family. I cannot day enough about the good work they do. If you are unhappy with your vet, or don’t have one, please consider these folks! Simply amazing!

Most importantly my senior cat loves going to Eagles Peak. Dr. Mike is very caring and understanding. He doesn't insist on treatments that we can't afford. Instead, he tries to find a more affordable solution. Every time we see him, he's so nice and comforting. I can't recommend him enough. We've been there several times now and so far everyone we've met has been wonderful. Particularly, the office manager, Alyssa and the vet tech, Sam. We cant imagine going anywhere else!

It was time to put our beloved dog Maize down. Being newer to the area we really didn't know who to use. I contacted eagles peak and they were very friendly and accommodating and were able to schedule us the next morning. Having never met the Dr.s or any staff before, I asked if someone could please talk to us before the euthanisia . Dr. Hoy came in and explained the process and was so incredibly kind and caring. She didn't know us but took the time to hear all about maize and how much she meant to us. Dr. Hoy reassured us and made absolutely sure we were confident in our decision. When the time came, Dr. Hoy spoke sweetly and comforting to our maize girl and made my husband and I feel relaxed and that maize was in no pain. I am so glad I chose this vet practice. It is apparent that they really care about their clients and families. The whole experience was emotional but made a little easier with the wonderful staff at eagles peak. We plan to bring our other pets there for their routine care.Laurie L.

My cat has life threatening urinary tract issues. The first time we took him in, the vet told us that if he showed any more symptoms, that he required an emergency visit and needed to be seen. He showed symptoms again a few months later, but they refused to see him until late the next day. We took him in, but they claimed he “looked fine”. They did not check him for a UTI or give him an antibiotic. He was given his shots and sent home with us. The injection site got infected, but they were unwilling to work with us on getting him seen even though he was in extreme discomfort. We decided to take him to a different vet instead. The new vet did blood work and determined that he did have a UTI the entire time. He was given an antibiotic shot that cleared up the infection and should fix his UTI soon as well. Eagle’s Peak was very rude and did not take my cat’s life or death situation as seriously as they claimed that they would. They did not do the proper testing and they did not do anything to help us. Do not take your pets here if you can avoid it! ARK is a much nicer and more reliable vet.

Dr's are polite very knowledgeable and come off as true animal lovers, they don't try and add a lot of unnecessary tests and work with you to keep costs low without cheating your pet of proper care. We have been coming here for years and our pets thank us for it 😁

These people don't actually care about your animals, they just want your money.Napolean continues to have seizures but because of the staff being unwilling to actually acknowledge the issue, after having been seen more than 3 times for the same issue. The vet is unwilling to provide any medical attention to the cat outside of bloodwork, and even with the bloodwork they are unwilling to provide anti seizure medicine because they claim to need more of the same bloodwork done that costs more money, and will again lead to no results. We were told after getting blood work done to take him to an emergency vet for follow up - all he needs is seizure medicine for his hepatic encephalopathy, it's sad that we understand his condition more than the supposed trained professionals at this establishment. Now we have to take our sick cat to a vet all the way in Kutztown because these people have taken over $500 from us and yielded no results - despicable.

A warm, wood interior. Three staff is friendly, and professional. The doctor who started this practice, and has since retired, Dr. Selwyn Ostrich, yes Ostrich, is a pleasant man and a good veterinarian.

This place saved our puppy's life. No question about it. She had an obstruction, piece of rubber ball inside. Complete recovery after surgery.

Dr. Sherbyn Ostrich, VMD has been taking excellent care of our beloved family pets for many years now. What makes him so good? Well, other than the fact that he has saved my parents dogs and our kitties in the past, while other vets were "resting on their laurels," Dr. Ostrich continued to educate himself throughout the years which only served to add to his vast experience and knowledge of animals. He had opened his own animal clinic many years ago called "Cacoosing Animal Hospital" (which, unfortunately, is now owned and operated by the very greedy VCA Hospital who are, trust me, ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!). During that time, Dr. Ostrich was elected President of the American Veterinary Medical Association and had been away for three years.Upon recently finding out that he had started "Eagle's Peak Animal Clinic," my husband and I decided to take our cat there for a second opinion regarding a cyst on his tail. VCA Cacoosing Animal Hospital had not surprisingly misdiagnosed him and upon examination, Dr. Ostrich, once again, accurately diagnosed our cats. He treated the cyst and we walked out with our cat in toe knowing he had been in the best of hands! And, for only half the fee which VCA would have charged us.The next day, I immediately had all four of our cats medical records transferred to Eagle's Peak. I would highly recommend them. Dr. Ostrich is the best!!!
