I like Giant Eagle not only because of the freshness and quality of the food they sell. But also because of how clean and bright the entire store is.From the moment you arrive, you appreciate the bright atmosphere and bright aisles. Yes, they have both budget friendly and higher end products. Giant prices may be a little higher than others, but everything they do makes it worth paying.I highly suggest you get the stores club card. You will save money on many members, only specials.

I grew up with Giant Eagle, and they're still my favorite pharmacy and store, to grab what I need and go.!! Always had a great staff with customer service skills. You don't get everywhere!!!! Thank you, Altoona and Roaring Springs, Giant Eagle! ❤️

Always out of Wrigleys spearmint gum. Prices are pretty high compared to everywhere else. Produce section is nice though.

This store needs more employees in the front. All employees need basic customer service training. Have already moved prescriptions and don't plan on doing my weekly shopping there any longer.

Expensive no baggers no help out cart attendant has time to sit on the rail of the cart return though no cart return near handicap parking pharmacy is... well,a pain in the a@@.

Stopped in to get an updated vaccine at the pharmacy and to grab a few little grocery items. The pharmacy was great, we were in and out of that area in 30 minutes tops. I wish the food prices weren't so high here. It's a very clean store. Well organized. Best lunch meat around but I personally can't afford it. Only one register opened with a line , thankfully the customer service employee let me check out at the very front of the store. I only had two items and I would of put them back cuz waiting in line for 30 minutes wasn't happening

Expensive. Only reason I went there was when their cinnamon rolls were calling my name. Best around. Now they quit making them. Used to get 8 for 4.99. Now they have 4 dried up looking things with minimal frosting and are charging 5.99. So now I have no reason to go there. Their loss.

While the checkout personnel is kind & friendly, I don’t understand why this store often has a horrific smell that causes me to want to leave as soon as I enter. The odor is very similar to sewer gas and so strong that it can’t be healthy to work in this environment much less shop for food in it! Why does Giant Eagle not get to the bottom of this problem? It was worse today than I’ve ever encountered it. I’ve reported this problem before and also discussed it with store management.

I lived in Suburbia for 30+ years. So, maybe I'm a little jaded. But, living in this rural area now is a great change. Everyone is so nice and that includes the folks at this store. Plus, of the 3 of 4 supermarkets within 40 minutes of my house, this one has the largest selection and has become my go-to grocery store.The best experience for me was when I stopped in a few months ago to get one of their roasted chickens and they were out. The guy behind the counter tells me to hold on and then proceeds to write up a 30- day coupon that I could use to come back and get a free one! Just because they were out of them that evening! Is that service or what?Anyway, good store. Nice people. Great prices.

The workers are fantastic. The lines at register are outrageous. Returning items has been a problem and being overcharged for sell items. Please I love shopping here don't make me go elsewhere.

I work close to this giant eagle location, so I go to giant eagle about daily. The girl that gets the carts could be more friendly. Don't forget your giant eagle card unless u have the correct phone number associated to the card. If u don't have the card or the correct phone number u won't get savings on items that u could of. I had asked if they had a store card they could use,I had one clerk that used it for me however I was told that would be the only time,I had another clerk tell me no that they don't have a store card that I'd need to get one. I have one, just didn't have my keys with me.

We come here for produce, prescription fills, and sales. The store is nice with friendly staff. Bathrooms are lackluster and honestly gross looking but I'm pretty sire it's just because they're old and very dated. Good parking. Fast prescription pick up.

This afternoon hubby and I stopped in for a few items, we have not been in the store for several years and our cashier was very unpleasant with us, she didn't have a name tag or I may have mentioned her name, probably would have been better if she had stayed home and slept all day, it only takes 1 person like her to ruin a stores reputation for being friendly. My advice is don't go to the checkout with the curly long hair red head she is not a very happy person....

They usually have great deals on Pepsi products. Their store brand ice cream is priced nice and it is really good too. The only thing is, they don't usually have more than 2 check out lanes open at a time.

I wanted to make a quick trip for only 3 items, and I was able to do just that, surprisingly. The parking lot was full, and I only needed to visit 2 sections in the outer edges of the store. The pharmacy tech was polite and helpful. Also, the checkout process went quickly, and there was only one person in front of me.

My husband and I are frequent customers at this store. The cashiers and other staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are generally comparable to prices at other local supermarkets. Our biggest problem with this store is that the manager, who was brought in when corporate bought out the private owner a few years ago, frequently discontinues items that we have used for years.

I only go here if I have to. Fruit and veggies never look that good. Very small selection of many things.It has the bare necessities, and nothing fancy.I will say my husband LOVES the fried chicken from here. He is kind of a self proclaimed connoisseur in the fried chicken world. ;)

Quaint and small giant eagle. Perfect for the area, with small selection in the produce section. Produce aisle was very empty and options that were available looked sad (bruised, old, etc). But all staff is extremely friendly and store was well maintained.

Since this is the closest grocery store to where I live, I shop at it quite a bit. However, I am not extremely pleased with it for the following reasons:1. The produce is awful and overpriced! Good luck finding a green pepper that looks like it was picked this month! And $3.99 a pound for apples?? My goodness! And once I bought a jalapeno pepper that had a live bug in it when I cut it open!2. Overall, prices are more expensive than other food store. Yeah I could shop at Walmart or travel into Altoona for better prices at other grocery store chains, but they are more crowded and a further, out-of-the-way drive.3. It seems every time I find a product I really like there, the store gets rid of it. They've done this to me with my milk, cereal, juice, tissues, etc. What I really enjoy is when I go to checkout, they ask you if I found everything okay. When I tell "no" and explain that my product isn't there anymore, they just tell me that sometimes the store stops carrying some items. Why even ask then?4. There is no self-checkout line. Having one could be a HUGE time saver when I only need 3 items and and it's 4 in the afternoon when everyone is stopping to shop on their way home from work. The lines can get long at busy times!There are some pluses here though. Generally, the staff is very pleasant and easy going. Also, the store is pretty clean. Finally I pass it on my way to and from work so it is convenient to shop there. That's actually probably the main reason I shop there.

You can get lost in the isles, the store is always fully stocked with a vast selection and variety to choose from. The bakery is outstanding and their specialty cakes are fantastic, their bakers cannot be beat💖💖💖

Every time I come to get my meds they are very rude to me, they yell at me and never read the notes on my prescription and give me the wrong stuff. When my fiance went in today his mask broke and when going to pharmacy to ask for another right away they very rudely told him "Your not getting your prescription unless you have a mask" we have been dealing with this rudeness for about a year now.

We go here often to get certain items that we like in this store and to get the fuel discount. We also use their pharmacy, which is in a convenient distance from our home for our medical refills.

It's nice to go sumwhere where they aren't ignorant n even tho u may pay alil bit more for certain items, there's no bare shelves n I will pay alil bit more for the polite people there!
