Despite the fact this Dollar General has been there for about 20 years now you can still walk in and get smacked by the nostalgia of the creaky old GC Murphy floors that still make the same old crunch they did when I was a kid. Beyond the aesthetics of the building it's a regular Dollar General with friendly staff located conveniently downtown.

I had said something about the loud, rude, foul mouthed kids that were in line behind me to the cashier with the response “their always like this when they’re in here, and they’re in here a lot. They’re always messing with stuff on the shelves and throwing things. Their Mom let’s them.” Cashier never said anything to them, even though there were a lot of other customers who can hear them, and was obviously uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want my kids hearing or seeing what these kids were allowed to do in a public store that is literally a two minute walk from where we lived, so we went often for little things. The number I was given was to a manager who gave me another Dollar General managers number. By the end of the day both managers were so unprofessional and over the top rude, and I was unable to go back in the store because of the rude looks, service, and snickering within ear distance from the younger employees.

Only gave it 2 stars because being from Ridgway it’s about the only place to get anything quick and without traveling 20 minutes to the equally as great Walmart. They sometimes have what you are looking for and if they have it you are going to be waiting around in line for at least 10 minutes as one employee works the registers, regardless how many are in line. You might think one of the other three employees who you saw in the isles might come and assist, but alas, they are “stocking” selves which entails them just a angrily tossing things in various spots. I’ve never seen people so made at the work they do. Lastly, you are bound to run into some of Ridgway’s finest!

The store is also a mess. The floor is coming up and there are leak In the ceiling. The employees are very nice and respective but I don't think it a good place to shop due to the store condition and I also think it not a good place for an employee to work also.

None of the dollar general stores have a good selection in boys or toddler boys clothing! Very disappointing! Also I noticed alot of the prices for the toys are more here then at Walmart! I will say this tho if you go on Saturdays you can get $5 off $25 plus download digital coupons from the dollar general app and you can get gain laundry products really cheap! I'm also am a big fan of the end or the season sales!

I am not from Ridgeway. As Iwas traveling through I noticed lights in and Lady standing outside on phone. Figured they would open at 8 a.m. i looked up the store and it said 7 a.m. (all i needed was eye drops because something was in my eye) . So i get out of my car and walk towards store. The lady Employee still on the phone says loudly to me that they aren't open till 8. I said I thought so until i looked it up on internet and it said 7 a.m. by this time she is entering store saying well the internet is wrong. i took a photo of my screen. she didn't smile or speak in a kind voice. She made me feel stupid and that I should've known this already. mind u the time was 7:52 a.m. so now i will go grab my eye drops. get her name if she has a tag on and i will make sure i don't pull over at THIS dollar general everAgain. one rotten egg doesn't mean all DG act like this. I like DG.

Great service, isles are always blocked with boxes. Unfortunately i wanted something from the fridge a male stocker was filling up and they didnt move or acknowledge i was even there.

Well I could not believe you go into Texas Hots at 8:30 P.M. on a Saturday night and can't get a full Menu I asked for a grilled chicken salad could not get it so then I asked for a Texas outlaw couldn't get it all you could get about is Texas hotdogs or cheeseburgers & fries so disappointing on a Saturday night boooo

Store is not well kept. Looks unorganized and if I had a wheelchair, I wouldn't make it past the front door. Store personnel not friendly, Manager just as rude as staff. I won't stop at this DG again.

Older store, not very clean but overall an ok place to shop.Was not sure about sale prices for summer 50% off but the young man working there was very helpful.

Always out of stock on many food items They also leave cards with stock in isles and it makes it hard to get around in the store.

i love going to dollar general but it sad when other people have to put other bad reports on this store because the worker their work very hard it the customer that make it messy and unkempt and the customer are very rude to the associates i think it the customer that should change not the store or employees
