I have taken my pets to Richboro Veterinary Hospital for many years. Last year, I moved out of the area, but continued to bring my pets to this practice despite now living 45 minutes away. In the back of my mind I always thought eventually I would find a vet closer to my new home in case of emergencies, but hadn’t yet. Dr Sampson and Dr Linn had made it quite easy for when my pets needed care - I could send pictures or videos if I had a question, and bring my pet in when needed. It was rather convenient, so I didn't feel like it was too far to continue to take my pets to this practice. Yesterday, however, I was faced with an emergency. We were having a snow and ice storm and I woke up to find my 11 year old Himalayan cat laying on the floor unable to move the right side of her body. Almost as if she had a stroke in the middle of the night., I had no idea what had happened but knew she needed to be seen as soon as possible. I called a local vet that was less than a mile from my new home and explained the situation. I just needed my cat to be seen, and being that we were in the midst of an ice storm I figured this was my best and probably only option considering the roads were awful and they were less than a mile away. They told me they didn’t “feel comfortable” seeing her and suggested I call elsewhere. Rather than call around to other vets, wasting valuable time, I called Richboro Veterinary Hospital. When I spoke with Dr Sampson he told me to bring her right in. I drove an hour in the snow and ice for my cat to be seen. Dr Sampson gave her a basic neuro assessment and discussed the possibilities of what could be wrong with her, and what potential outcomes we could be looking at - based on this initial assessment - none of them were good. I had decisions to make. While it wasn’t the outcome I had hoped for, I feel better knowing I was able to have my sweet girl of 11 years seen by her doctor when faced with such an emergency. So I just wanted to post this review to thank Dr Sampson, and the wonderful staff at RVH for continuing in the steps of Dr Linn - making sure Richboro Veterinary Hospital is always available to me, and always adequately staffed, in case of an emergency. Thank you for seeing and caring for Priscilla (aka Miss Priss) in her time of need , because she deserved nothing less.

Doctor Sampson is a truly amazing human. One of our pups(snow) got diagnosed with Addison's disease in 2020 and we ended up changing vets to RVH. Since this was all new of course we were doing research on google and Dr.Sampson had no problem answering all my questions, and there were a lot. He never once made me feel like a burden for asking like some other veterinarians do. At our most recent 1 year visit Dr.Sampson broke the news Snow may have lymphoma. He went over all the different tests we can do to confirm but eventually it was confirmed. We then went over all the options after we decided not to go through chemo. Any time we had questions he would always take the time to call us back and talk about it. Three weeks later snow wasn't doing good at all and I woke up one day thinking it would be his last hoping I was wrong and it was just a bad day. While our boy was struggling to breathe at home I called the office to see if they can squeeze us in to euthanize him which they did. We rushed over and staff met us in the parking lot with a cart, he was about 130 lbs and couldn't walk. The only negative was as we hear our boy struggling to breathe/dying the receptionist came for a signature and payment which my husband then told her to leave the room and we would pay when we left. (We ended up not having to since he went on his own)Maybe one minute after being in the room our boy took his last breath as Dr.Sampson was coming in. Through that difficult time he sat with us and again answered all our questions and even walked us back to our car with our boy to help get him in. We are super grateful for him and his team. Thank you thank you thank you for the care you gave and will continue to give our pups.

Very grateful to Dr. Sampson and the whole staff. Everyone is very nice and patient. Dr. Sampson is very knowledgeable and really listens and cares about our fur babies. He has successfully completed my cat’s eye surgery (Icy says hello!) while other vets refused to even take him. And Today he has found a way to become friends with my anxious and hyperactive dog during her annual exam, blood tests and vaccinations. The nurse was very nice, gentle and super patient to my dog. I can’t say enough how happy we are to find such a wonderful doctor and team like you. Many many thanks to everyone for all your hard work!!!

This is the best vet in the area. Dr Sampson is an absolute gem. With two St Bernard’s and cats our vet bills can be high but at Richboro Veterinary Hospital the prices are very reasonable. Dr Sampson always provides the best care. I will never go to another vet.

I recently had a very bad experience with this place,a few months ago ,I took my cat in because she was having some dental issues .Dr linn was the doctor that night and he said my cat would need some cleaning and possibly an extraction ,so the next day or so I get a quote from 750.00 to 937.00 I told them I had just loss my husband and I would need some time to save the money to get the surgery not to mention I had to go there every 10 days to get medication for her to keep her comfortable which cost 90.00 a month .Three months later I saved the 937.00 called them and was prepared to bring her in for her procedure but, i wanted to make sure that they knew that I only wanted them to take care of the issue that was causing her pain ,the person I talked to the suddenly informed me that the price I was quoted was expired and is now 800.00 to 1,100.00 .I told them that I needed to save the money they never said you only have six weeks as the price could go up .I pleaded my cause to them and they couldn't have cared less about the welfare of my cat I found them to be very cold when I expressed my issue Dr linn he said with a silly gigle he had nothing to do with the prices .He suggested I talk to the owner. I Spoke to the owner who is also a vet also he handed me some excuse about cost going up yearly What about helping a pet? just once bending the rules not to mention what i paid for the pain meds there cost was three times the amount I paid the spca. The moral of the story is ask questions and read the fine print and be aware it is more about the money for them they could care less about the welfare of your animal,I now have to have an already scared cat go some where else to be evaluated and re set up for surgery. Thanks Richboro for nothing!!!

Richboro Veterinary Hospital is the absolute best hospital I have ever been to! My wife and I live in Toms River, NJ. We recently adopted a kitten from our local shelter. I am on blood thinners, and can’t afford to be scratched. My wife researched where we could have our kitten declawed, since it is no longer available in NJ. We found Richboro Hospital in Richboro, Pa. My wife called there and made an appointment. Since we are about an hour and a half away, they offered us to bring our kitten in the day before his scheduled appointment, so that he would be there early in the morning for his appointment for his front paws to be declawed. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating, my wife felt very comfortable to leave our kitten there. We were given an estimated bill for what the cost would be. They never charged us for him staying the night before, or for the two nights after his surgery. My wife went to pick him up two days after his surgery, they took VERY GOOD CARE OF HIM. They used a laser to remove his front claws, which was less invasive and much less painful. He was given pain medication while there and he was sent home with pain meds also. All I can say to the entire staff there, Thank You for taking such good care of my Indy, and me too! You are the best EVER! Sally Eder

I cannot say enough good things about Richboro Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Linn. If you're looking for a vet but wondering if this one is good, affordable, helpful, kind, gentle with animals, etc., the answer is YES to all of those. Go here. This is going to be a long review, but I want everyone to know how excellent they are.On Sunday, 4/17, my cat Kellen started throwing up. Vets are closed on weekends, so we had to take him to the vet Monday. His vet had no openings and no vet in the area would squeeze him in. Each office expressed concern that he had a blockage (which is life threatening and can go south within 24) hours but refused to see him. They recommended we take him to the ER.Unfortunately, all of the local ERs were only accepting the most severe cases at their own discretion. Many of these vets were quoting over $250 just to walk in the door, and stating that x-rays and ultrasounds would need to be performed and be hundreds more. The only open ER had an 8 hour wait, so we decided to try his vet again in the morning. At this point, Kellen got worse. He was lethargic, not eating, I couldn't tell if he was using the litter box, and he had gone from throwing up food to throwing up nothing because there was nothing in his belly. These are very common symptoms of blockages. We tried again on 4/19 to get any vet to see him and stressed the time-sensitive nature of the issue; 48 hours with a blockage is enough time for a kitty to pass away. Again, no one could get him in and kept reiterating that he would likely die without treatment (which is a horrible thing to say when not offering treatment). We called the ER back to let them know we were on our way, and they told us not to come-- they were at capacity. We were on our way to Quakertown Vet Hospital, which is an hour and a half from our home, when I found Richboro Veterinary Hospital on Google. I decided to give them a call as a last ditch effort. Not only did they get us in within a couple hours, they were WONDERFUL. There was absolutely no wait between when we showed up and were seen. Dr. Linn took the time to address my many questions, soothe my worries (because at this point it had been over 2 days and I was beyond frantic), and treat Kellen. He was so gentle with him, gave him a thorough examination, declared it to likely be gastritis based on his findings (not a blockage!) and gave Kellen some anti-nausea medicine with clear follow-up instructions should the issue return. We were in and out within a half hour, maybe less. He also took the time to give him a general wellness exam. He saved me so much heartache AND money. I have never met a vet as good as Dr. Linn.I tried literally every vet within a 30 mile radius of the 19116 zip code, and I am so frustrated with all of them. I don't care how far away you live, Richboro Vet is THE BEST.Also, Kellen is now totally fine and very happy : ) Cat tax attached.

The staff at Richboro Veterinary Hospital is fantastic. Shiloh and I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Sampson today. He is so warm, friendly and accommodating!! I highly recommend Dr. Sampson and staff for all of your veterinary needs. My dog is a Chow Chow. They are very reluctant by nature. He absolutely loves Dr. Sampson!! He definitely has that magic touch

My cat had a broken leg from an accident and I took him to the emergency vet. They quoted me an astronomical price to repair his leg that was more than several months salary for me. I was in shock and dismay and so sad. A kind friend helped me call around to try to find better options. Finally we found Dr. Linn and the team at the Richboro Veterinary hospital. They performed the orthopedic surgery my cat needed to save his leg at a fraction of the cost many other practices were quoting me. Not only did they save his leg, but it's in great condition and the staff was kind and wonderful. We have gone there for X-rays and follow-up visits for the past several months and have been treated consistently with kindness respect, and Mr. Ginger has received excellent care. I cannot say enough about the great experience we have had at Richboro Veterinary Hospital

I have been using Dr Linn since 1991 or 92 up to and including June of 2022. The best care is what I have received from everyone at Richboro.I have 2 dogs and needed to go to visit a sick cousin and so I boarded my dogs until Monday morning. When my husband and I arrived on Saturday morning, we walked in to new people at the front desk (who didn't even introduce themselves and then I saw a doctor who was not Dr Linn walk into the office area. When my husband and I left the office, I said that because it was Easter Sunday, I guess Dr. Linn and his family went away and he got another Vet to cover for him. We left and I never thought about it again.Monday morning my husband went to pick up the dogs and he walked in and handed me a business card with Dr. Sampson's name on it and said Dr. Linn sold Richboro. It took me a while because I couldn't believe he would sell the practice and not notify his patients.I called the office on Tuesday morning and told the receptionist that I wanted all my records. After a month or so, I thought about it and called Dr. Linn. We spoke briefly because it was no longer his practice. I asked if he could have Dr Sampson call me so that I could explain the situation and he said he would.About 1-1/2 weeks later my phone rings and I answer it and it was Dr Sampson. When I was done, Dr Sampson said he doesn't want to take care of my dogs.I will miss Dr Linn, he was so wonderful.I will miss Robin who helps when the dogs stay overnight. We will especially miss Melissa who has groomed.one of my dogs for 9 years and 1 for over 2 years.I am glad I found a welcoming Vets office with a warm and welcoming family atmosphere.

We've been taking all of our pets here forever and wouldn't dream of taking them to anyone but Dr. Linn. A little concerned about reviews of the new doctor but thankfully we were still able to see Dr. Linn. Who knows what next year will bring but we're grateful for all the care he's been able to provide over the years. The office was always very kind when it was an end of life visit as well.

Dr. Linn is the most caring pet doctor I've ever known. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Just ask Prancer and Sophie, they love him!! He is also very compassionate and understanding to pet parents providing reassurances and never provides unnecessary costly services. He keeps the whole family in check. The office staff is great too! Very accommodating, friendly and responsive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :-)

I have been coming here for 16 years with our family pet and now my own. Dr Linn is great with our animals as well as us. When we have had to put our babies down, they always allow us to be in the room and then send a condolences card. Very thoughtful. Robin is great with our dogs. They all absolutely love hanging out with her!!My only negative is the front office staff is not always the friendliest. One woman never smiles and it makes me feel like an inconvenience.

When we adopted our dog, he became very sick. The team at Animal Hospital of Richboro quickly moved up his appointment so we could come in immediately. The staff and Dr. Linn have always been so accommodating and helpful. We've been so happy with our care here and will continue to be patients!

Very good place. No wait. Very affordable. Doctors and staff are great.I have 4 cats that I regularly bring there.Update . After Dr. Lynn sold his practice to another younger doctor, its just like all other places where you get overcharged, you are getting unnecessary shots, treatments are not being performed properly. No more transparency of what will be done to your pet. This place use to be all about care and now it's feels that it's more about money. Very disappointed with the way its turning.Taking my pets somewhere else.

Dr. Linn and the staff are terrific. They are very helpful getting me an appointment that works for me and my schedule and usually within 2 days. I have found their prices to be a lot lower than other vets I used to go to, almost half in some cases. Dr. Linn takes his time with me and my dog when I go and he really does seem to care about his patients.

I have been going to Dr John for over 30 years. Everyone is so friendly and love our dogs as much as we do. Dr John listens to our concerns and helps us work out our problems. Even during the pandemic he was there when one of our pups had a bladder infection. I always get my dogs groomed there. Melissa is the best doing what we ask. They alsohave boarding. It is so rewarding knowing that Robin is there. She sends me pictures of them while I am on vacation. You can get all your pets needs at one place. Give them a chance you won't regret it.

We have been taking our 3 dogs and 2 cats to this vet and have had great experiences in checkups, procedures and boarding. Just recently, Dr. Linn saved my kitties life after we took him in when he was acting lethargic. We took him in right and away and Dr. Linn was able to diagnose rather quickly that he might have ingested string from the X-ray patterns in his stomach. Dr.Linn performed life saving surgery and thankfully the string hadn’t cut anything in the kitties intestines. Dr.Linn was excellent through the follow up and my cat has gone back to his normal self and happy to be alive!

Dr. Linn and staff are great. When we had to put our 15.5 year old German Shepherd, Greta down they were caring and let us take our time with her even though they were closing. Then we got a sympathy card in the mail that week. Highly recommend this office, been going for almost 10 years.

We love this practice. Dr. Linn and his staff sincerely care about the well being of our dogs. Their pricing is very fair and they only advise us on what is necessary as far as the care of our pooches without trying to upsell us on products or services. Here the health & wellness of our pets are always their number 1 objective.

Been using dr Linn for 15 years. He is amazing, realistic and comforting. I have had multiple animals with big health issues and he is extremely helpful and humble dealing with them. I couldn’t be happier, and most times they get me in to see him within a day or so.
