I was impressed with the clinic and the way that my puppy was treated. Every question I had was answered and since I am a first time puppy owner, I was given some great tips. My puppy seemed to love the vet, the techs, and the cheese! Thank you for making him feel comfortable!

We took our dog here for years and she was always very healthy so we didn't pay much mind to the vet. We brought her in for euthanasia and they were very quick and insensitive. They rushed the shots, it was cold and horrible in that room. It was awful!! They rushed us out because they were crowded and closing at 6pm. I will never take another pet there! If you love your pet, have a professional come and do it. Trust me! They told us we would be the last people of the day but they still had people in the lobby when my whole family walked out crying. They had two chairs for 5 of us to stand in a cold exam room. And the owners response to claim I'm wrong. There's your sympathy.

Took my 7 month old pup in and the staff were amazing and so friendly! Very attentive to my worries and wants as other vets in past have not been. I highly recommend! 🏼 I’m very pleased with our visit.

I can't be more happy with the doctor and vet techs who take care of my German Shepards. I have never meet people who care so much for my animals than these people. My dogs love coming here. I highly recommend them!!!

When my sweet girl who was 16 needed some help crossing the rainbow bridge, this vet and her staff were compassionate, caring and supportive for her and us. She will be our new vet for our other dog for life. Thank you for your caring and understanding during a truly difficult decision.

Beware! Had my animal there for blood work, found out that she also had urinalysis done by way of needle into her bladder! If I would have known this, I would never have permitted it! She did have blood in urine next day; had to call vet and that was when I was informed of needle in bladder urinalysis. Because again I was told “bloodwork”. Needless to say, they are no longer our vet! Just beware, you’re not told of everything that goes on behind those doors when they take your animals from your arms.

Took my dog there for shots and just a check up visit and safe to say was best experience for me and my dog… also had my cat recently spayed and at first quite scared for my baby girl, everything went very well and is healing perfectly well… thank you guys for all you do!

This was my 1st visit to this vet. They treated my terrified cat, who meowed angrily the whole time and lashed out - with kindness and caring. Thank you for showing compassion to my cat who can be sweet - but not while at the vet!UPDATE: still coming to this caring and compassionate clinic with my senior cat - thanks to ALL the staff for their continued help and compassion over the years!

Amazing place. Very caring staff. The having been seeing my dog for awhile now when his reg vet decided my dog was to mean to see anymore in the end I am glad this happened because I found someone who really seems to care about the fur babies and us parents. We also took my sons 16 year lab here when he needed to be put down. They had never seen this dog before, had him appointment same day we called and made my son feel that they really cared about him and his dog.i find it hard to believe when anyone post any negative comments about Dr.Pennington and staff. As long as we are fur babies this will be were we go. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Dr.Pennington and staff from Zeus, Storm and Mcandless family.

Great vet office. We've been with Dr Lombardo for years he has now retired but the new vet is very qualified and I am confident in her diagnosis for our cat's problem. The cat is now recovered and doing well.

Always deeply helpful and compassionate with any animal I’ve taken there. I took a sick stray in thinking I needed to have it put down, rather than let it suffer in the streets. Dr. Pennington took the cat, and the expenses of treatment, to attempt to give him the best chance possible.

I’ll never go anywhere else! We were looking for a new vet local to the butler area! I’m so glad we choose the animal clinic of butler! My pitbull has always had stomach issues that no one could figure out, one visit to the clinic and we have noticed an amazing difference within a month! They got him in right away with no crazy emergency charge! Their prices are very reasonable and they truly take the time to help and listen! I won’t be going anywhere else!

I deeply regret putting my pet’s lives in the hands of this careless organization. My 6th month old kitten, Boo, was spayed last Thursday 6/2, and everything went as planned. Within the last couple of days her incision site began showing signs of infection / reopening. By Thursday 6/9, I had called 4 times with the same response from Shannon, the receptionist, saying “i put in another note”, I have yet to hear anything. Is following up after a surgery such an inconvenience? Do they want me to wait until her wound is fully open? On Friday, I continued to call with no answer and now I wasn’t able to leave a voicemail, almost like my number was blocked. I finally called Twinbrook and they had Boo in within 2 hours. She had an infection and her incision had been opened, but since the Animal Clinic of Butler would not see her it already began to heal like that, leaving her with a gnarly scar in the future. We’re lucky that is the worst of it considering the Animal Clinic of Butler performed surgery on her and left her helpless. Very disappointing as I’ve taken my cats to Dr. Pennington for about 3 years. They made it out to seem that Dr. P was the reason I wasn’t getting a call back, but I’m not sure. Either way, I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this practice to anyone who loves their pets and cares for their well-being.

What a pleasure to find a veterinarian service that puts the pets care first. From the friendly knowledgeable staff to the fairness of their pricing this place is the best veterinarian service we have ever used. Not once did they try to up sell me on services by playing with your emotional connection with our pet. Upfront pricing was precisely as quoted. Findings were clearly explained and follow up care was given in clear and complete instructions. Highly recommend this veterinarian service and we will not go anywhere else.

We had our cat Chloe up at our camp near the clinic, but they were not our regular vet. She became ill during the night on a Friday, and when I called Saturday morning, even though they did not know Chloe, they were very good about seeing her, gave her a good examine and put her on medication to make her well. We are grateful to everyone there and glad they are near us at our camp in Butler. We would recommend them for certain. Thank you. Carol Holmes

Dr Lombardo was the best of the best and although I was happy to hear about his retirement I was extremely concerned about transitioning my dogs care as they have several medical issues. WOW Dr. Pennington is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! It was comforting to see that there are still familiar faces there as well as a few new ones. The care that my fur babies and I receive from Dr. Pennington and her staff is outstanding. I highly recommend this practice. The office itself is bright and clean and has been brought up to date nicely. Dr. Pennington, Rich and the staff do a great job everyday.......THANKFUL & BLESSED

Since Dr. Lombardo left, this place has gone to pot. The receptionists are so very rude. Dr. Pennington is a very good vet, but that “owner “, the man, is so rude, loud, obnoxious and over bearing. My dog is very skittish and at one appointment I had to ask the vet tech if that guy could shut up.. he’s so loud and made my dog more nervous. I left and went to another veterinarian. I see the owner doing landscaping from time to time.. that’s where he should stay.. outside

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Pennington and her staff! Took my sick dog there today because my regular vet would not see him same day without charging for an emergency visit. Everyone was very friendly , caring and thorough. Very reasonable charges also. I am planning to switch both of my dogs there on a permanent basis!

My dog was diagnosed heart murmur. Had multiple visits due to cough and trouble breathing. Was told it had nothing to do with his heart murmur and his lungs were fine. Given a medication that seemed to help but cough returned shortly after. Called to see if I should bring him in, they said no and gave us medication again and it did not help as much. Called to say he was loosing weight and having a lot of trouble breathing and the cough was worse. They didn’t seem concerned and we were told they couldn’t see him for two days. He passed away due to congestive heart failure before his appointment. I trusted this vet and severely regret it. Will not take any pets here again.
