Stopped in on Black Friday/Record Store Day after getting coffee next door at Phat Cat. What a fun flashback as I shuffled through stacks and racks of records, tapes and CDs and saw all my favorites! I really think if there is a piece of music you are looking for you would find it here. This really is a grand collection of all genres. The store was organized and pretty well sorted. Memorabilia and collectibles fills any available wall space. There is a small area in the rear of the store dedicated to local musicians. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Parking on the street out front was easy. I see they do some in-store live music events as well which I would come back to see sometime.

Absolutely fantastic! Sometimes social media is great because it lead me to this shop! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. A huge selection of albums! Tons of great prices and museum in the back. The owner was super friendly! I highly recommend shopping small!!!

Absolutely one of the best record stores in the South Central PA region. Tom is incredibly nice and knowledgeable and carries a really wide selection of vinyl, CDs, and tapes. I never leave empty handed!

Fantastic music shop absolutely filled to the brim with records, CDs and tapes. Prices are incredibly reasonable, selection is great. It’s a little chaotic and not really organized so plan to spend some time digging but that’s part of the charm of this place. Honestly, even if this store is a couple hours away from you it’s 100% worth the drive. Owner seems like a really nice guy with real passion. You can tell the dude loves it when you find something you’ve been looking for.

Fantastic place. So many records, it’s so fun to just spend an afternoon leafing through them. Tom’s selection (and pricing!) has been unmatched by any other record store I’ve been to. In addition, Tom is kind and knowledgeable and routinely gives deals when you purchase lots of records at once. Yeah, the walkways are tight, but that’s only because there’s too much great stuff to be found. Highly recommend.

This place is pretty cool. I'm not a huge music/vinyl buff, but a lot of my friends are and they love coming to York to this place every so often to find some new stuff because their inventory is always changing.Also, in 2013, some punk tried stealing a bunch of stuff and pulled out a knife when he got caught, and the owner of this place absolutely KO'd him like a boss which is pretty cool. There's video of it and it was on the news if you wanna check it out. All around cool place.

Massive selection of new and used records. We like to go in just to browse and to see what we find. It can be overwhelming but it is organized. If you’re looking for something specific, I’m sure Tom can help you find it. He’s a super nice and knowledgeable guy. The prices are fair and the used stuff is good quality.

It may look a bit chaotic in here but there is a method to the madness. From CD to vinyl and even some cassette tapes sprinkled in, you will find everything you could hope for (and probably some stuff you didn't even know you needed).Tom's has a little bit of everything for everyone. I love the memorabilia and the old vinyl and every time I come in I can count on a great conversation with Tom and finding something new.

This place has to have the best selection in all of York county, and personally all of PA. You'll never know where to start because there is just so much great stuff to dig through. Whether your just someone who wants to pick something up or a crate digging producer looking for something to chop up, Tom most certainly has you covered.

I’ve been to quite a few record store in my day. Walking into this one is like visiting a hoarders lair. Thee worse organization ever. My daughter found a Barbie soundtrack on the right side of the store for $10 more than one on the left side, both identical and brand new. He does have MANY records but good luck finding what you seek. If a fire broke out, it would be a dangerous exit because of the very narrow doorway.

Tom is an amazing guy and the store is just phenomenal. To be able to both thumb for hours on end without disturbance or to strike up an amazing conversation with him its perfect. If you just even know something about Vinyl, CDs or Tape, you need to go in and talk to him. It's something you won't get anywhere else.

I do a lot of traveling and whenever I find a record shop I usually stop. This one definitely caught my eye with Blues Brothers out front. Tom is a really cool guy and I suggested an album to him and he put it on and he started playing the drums to it which I thought was cool. I'm sure when I pass through Red Lion again I will be stopping to see what other goodies he has there! Tom, thank you for talking shop with me!

Best record store in Central PA, probably top 5 in the state? If you haven’t been here you need to go, but be prepared to spend at least an hour going through everything or you’ll never know what you missed out on!!

Truly one of the best record stores you'll ever visit! Owner is the coolest guy, the memorabilia throughout the store is incredible, and the selection is top notch and changing almost daily. Literally the only downside is that there are SO many records that the store can get cramped while you're rifling through them all. If you've never been, I can't recommend it enough!

What an awesome music store! There are CDs & vinyl in all genres. Unsorted CDs that you have to dig through to find what you want are towards the front of the store in bins and boxes. The CDs are divided into genres and artists on the walls. Vinyl is everywhere. There are also some DVDs for sale. We drove almost 2 hrs to go to this store and it was well worth the trip. Just give youself a few hours to look through everything.Tom recently extended his hours on Saturday from 10am-4pm. The store is closed on Sundays.

This is THE record store in the Lancaster/York area. If you like digging through crates then this is your spot. Amazing selection and loads of hidden gems. Can't recommend this shop enough!

Tom's is our treat for being good. We make the drive from DC once every month or two months now because it's worth the drive. Tom doesn't sell online, so his selection hasn't been picked over like so many are now. This is the record store you go to, to have that "oh my god, they have this." moment. Our first time there, I went straight to the N's to look for a slightly unknown German band I love (Notwist) but can never find. Sure enough, Tom's had a handful of their albums, including a sealed copy of one I've been looking for. The prices are fair, it feels like a record store should, and to top it off, Tom might be the nicest record store owner ever. He's an ace for sure.

About once or twice a year I made the trip from Philly to visit Tom's, and its always worth the time and the gas. Hands down one of the best record stores on the east coast, and since he doesn't do online stuff too, you don't have to worry about the digital hordes having already picked over the good stuff. Good variety of stuff too, not just the same 100 classic rock albums over and over and over. If you like punk, reggae, jazz, and/or hip hop there's a ton to dig through. Tom is also extremely friendly and happy to chat no matter how busy the store is. Can't recommend this place enough.

Record shopping at Tom’s can only be equated to the experience of digging through your whacko uncle’s hoarded attic completely packed with all types of physical media and memorabilia. Definitely a store for crate diggers with hours to spare and diverse taste, not the hyper-organized individual looking for a perfectly alphabetized selection of the same stuff everyone else has.

Had an awesome first visit today! Such a great store. Crazy big selection of records and something for everyone. Tom was super cool and helpful and my son and I loved talking with him. I joked that I had to stop looking because we found a handful of albums we wanted so quickly. Totally worth the drive and we can’t wait to get back.
