I stopped in the afternoon on my lunch break to get a couple hermit crab supplies (food bar/shell). There was a nice selection of shells including large shells which I was needing. I went to the register to check out where Hailey (sorry if spelled wrong) rang me out. She spoke to me a few minutes about the super worms she was counting out into containers and I asked a few questions to which she was very knowledgeable. She was multitasking and not frustrated when needing to stop to ring up my purchases. Thank you for a great experience at your shop and for the wonderful service Hailey!

My fiancé walked home with a gecko over a year ago, I was in charge of feeding him. Now I know the store, the lady in charge and most of her great staff. Wonderful store, great prices, and any thing you could need I feel like they would have. From fish to cats or birds and even some exotic pets, iv seen a lot and appreciate all your help sense the first time I needed to buy crickets.

If you need to pop in somewhere, that might have what you're looking for, ran by clueless teenagers, with subpar animal conditions, then this is the place for you. The bird section is seriously lacking attention. Over crowded and constantly filthy. Please do better. Further clarification, since I may not have explained thoroughly enough, of my use of the word "clueless". When asking several cashiers there, about the stock of certain bird items, I was answered with a shrug, a glance around perhaps looking for an additional fellow employee, then a "I don't know." Not a "Let me get someone who may be able to help you." An estimated delivery date, or even a guess, then yes the employee is "clueless".

I walked into Cape Horn Incredible Pets looking for wax worms for my 2 geckos. I was pleasantly greeted by Kay. She was very helpful, and she made sure I got everything that I needed. Overall I was very pleased with my shopping experience today!! Thank you 😊

We were very happy with our experience at Cape Horn Incredible Pets and HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for a pet! We went there over the weekend because we have been thinking about getting a reptile for our boys, but not really sure what would be the best at their age. The lady we spoke with there was very knowledgeable, answered all of our numerous questions, and was able to help us narrow down the selection to what would be best for our situation. We had been to 2 other closer pet stores that day before coming Cape Horn where we got no help or assistance whatsoever, so we were very happy we made the trip! Plus, we got see and pet Sheldon the tortoise! We will be returning for all our future pet needs!

This place was absolutely nasty when we visited. The small animal room smelled so bad, there was a dirty bottom of a cage just laying in the middle of the room, couldn’t even be bother to clean it. The bird room had a big pile of dirt swept right in the middle of the walkway. The entire store smelled. I went to look at elk antlers for my dogs and there were little black beetle like bugs all over them. I wouldn’t buy ANYTHING from here. Management needs to seriously take some serious steps to get this place back together. I was appalled by the store.EDIT TO ADD, I stopped in the afternoon. No one was around cleaning. It was not busy at all. Two staff were standing at front desk when no one was checking out. I’ve been to plenty of other pets stores that sell bugs for reptiles etc, and I’ve never seen Bugs in or around dog supplies/other animal supplies. Maybe a cricket hoping along, but that’s it. Nothing like I saw today there. I understand needing to clean animals obviously, but this wasn’t in the process. Not once did I see anyone in the middle of doing cleaning except maybe one person at reptiles. It doesn’t take away the fact the entire place smells. I’ve been at this store before, and it was great. Today, not at all. And management replying to my comment saying the bugs are normal and harmless. Yeah I’m aware the bugs aren’t going to cause harm per say, but the fact they are aware of them being in products that people will buy, bring to their home, so they can get into other items that we as humans consume and our pets are consuming it’s beyond disgusting. No I don’t want to be bringing them home and them getting into my pantry. And I don’t want to be knowingly feeding my dog food with bugs in it. Thanks, but no thanks.

Pet store-4 starsStaff-2 starsI do like the store itself, but the staff is absolutely horrible. Was there today for cat dewormer. Asked the young girl in the front if they had any, she couldn't even look away from her phone to tell me. Proceeds to tell me it's in the case, While she's still standing up there on her phone. The case is locked doesn't walk with me. Eventually comes over an unlocks it.(not the first time I've had some teenage there with a idgaf attitude)

We stopped in on our lunch break to look at their bird supplies. The prices are very reasonable, they have plenty toys and food and supplies stocked. What impressed me the most tho is the knowledgeable, kind man who was talking to me about the birds. He plays with them and takes time with them. You can tell, they are very sweet birds. He is nice to both the critters there and the humans who come in. I don't see that much dedication to the birds in other places we have been and the results are anxious, scared birds. It's a really nice place!

This place smells terrible, had to speed up the trip because it was nauseating. The staff are def not “with the program”, and/or keeping up with the place.Idk if this place changed hands or has a certain hiring criteria but it’s gone wayyyy downhill.Used to love this place, will avoid and just head to Lancaster for supplies

Bought my pet rat here. The staff are very chill and you can barely tell they work there and aren’t just knowledgeable customers. I love that kind of atmosphere. They have a wide variety of pets here. Go and meet their tortoise. He’s huge!!

Cape Horn Pets is a privately owned pet shop in Red Lion, PA. They have a little of everytging! I purchase my dog food there and my glow fish and accessories were purchased the too. The staff are helpful and welcoming. Everytime I'm in, my daughter and I love checking out all of the cool new fish, reptiles and birds they have. My daughter also loves visiting the store's mascot Sheldon the tortoise.

It seems like a very all-inclusive staff, but they were a little frustrating to maneuver around. I didn't need it, but no one asked if I needed help or moved out of my way when it was clear I was searching in a specific section. I got what I needed and jetted out of there.

We just brought home a sweet little baby leopard gecko from here. Everyone was super friendly and the lady helping us was very information and helpful. We were nervous about going to a pet store because of reviews of petsmart and such, however this place was AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend. Added benefit the tortious roaming around to greet customers.

The amount of variety in both animals and supplies is nothing to scoff at. Highly recommended for finding niche/exotic animals.I was able to find a Grammostola pulchra (Brazilian Black Tarantula) for less than what you can find online.The only thing was that the customer service was non-existent, but when I took the T up to the register, the girl behind the counter was friendly. Other than that, no complaints about the place.

The employees didn't really seem to know what they doing. One cashier was drawing all over herself at woke. The other kid was confused. Who hired them lol.

I've shopped here for a while, almost 2 years, since we adopted an exotic pet. They have all kinds of animals, furry and scaly alike. A big tortoise roams around, like a mascot. Some national brands not there, so if looking for more familiar supplies might go elsewhere. However, they have lots of variety and good quality items.
