Big Lots seems to be like a downscaled superstar but with a boosted focus on furniture.They have a section for bric-a-brac type stuff that cute and funny - kind of like "as seen on TV" items.I liked the pricing and quality for their home decor wall decorations. They also had some cute items for tableware items like bowls and cups.They have a lot of the standard department sections like home goods, bed wear, small kitchen devices, children's toys, pet's items, bathroom stuff, food, etc.There are some noticeable savings available for some items but most things in the store are pretty standard pricing - perhaps a bit higher than average.It seems like a good idea to visit their website or scope out their weekly circular savings for best savings.The store seemed pretty understaffed. There was one person at the checkout registers and she was very friendly but obviously swamped with people ready to pay for items. They should give her a raise and also hire an extra person for the registers.

One of the few remaining Big Lots stores in San Diego county. This is a clean store with friendly, helpful employees. The sales and coupons make stopping by a good value.

Thought a friend and I would check it out again, as I had not been in for a while. They very rarely have anything that I want to buy; BUT THIS TIME I got a very cute snowsuit for my one doggie at a great Clearance Price.

I purchased a dinner room set here and had to wait a few days before picking it up before a a vehicle size issue. After returning to the store , they informed me that the item I purchased was sold to someone else. Very unprofessional

Great store. Great prices. I'm giving it 3 stars because I asked at the register about a furniture item. The clerk looked it up and said they didn't have any but the Boyertown store did. She even looked on her computer, so I drove to Boyertown. The clerk there looked up the sku # and they didn't have any, but Reading did, 4 to be exact. She called and confirmed. I did get it at Reading, but no discount for my troubles. Lesson learned. I'll call myself before I travel 35 minutes for nothing. Bewar!

I like Big Lots. It's hit and miss with the bargains. I normally find good deals here. I've bought furniture here and a mattress. I've had better luck with their stuff than I have with Bob's furniture.

First time visiting this store in a few years. Can't say much has changed since then except for the price increases of just about everything. They do have a decent mattress and bed selection along with good deals on recliners. Other than that wasn't too impressed with pricing or the items themselves.

Went there for a specific item. After looking myself I finally asked a girl that was putting product out. She took me to the item which made it so much easier. Nice to know she didn’t point, she actually took me to the product.

I love this store but I don’t feel they are being careful enough during this pandemic. I witnessed one employee completely pull her mask down while talking to both another employee and a customer. The girl at the checkout had her mask hanging down below her nose. I was going to buy something but I walked out. It’s infuriating to me that EMPLOYEES can’t follow important guidelines!

The staff is very helpful and fun. The store is well stick and organized. Its an older building and could use some updating. If they did a little remodeling, it would look great and i would give a 5 star rating. They have some good deals and the furniture lease program is helpful.

Big lots on fifth street highway in reading, PA and the one in lebanon county PA are the best . They have the best customer service ever. The rewards program is awesome. I am hooked on big lots. One of my new favorite stores.

Great prices and usually a great range of merchandise. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist in any way that they can help you. My only suggestion is that the staff be more attentive to call other associates up to the front to assist when the lines get long at the registers.

Usually love Big Lots, not today. Today felt like a bait and switch. Right inside the front door, two canopies and a pile of several boxes of each. There was a sign $59.99 which would have been a great price for either. Called the manager over to see which canopy it was, turned out that model was sold out. Told us lots of people asked about it. Perhaps you should take the sign down. Not cool.

Wasn't pleased with curbside pickup. I called ahead they said they had my order ready, I had to go in the store wait 20 min & my order was still in the back of the store. Nonetheless the staff was nice but just a bit disorganized when it comes to picking up online orders.I probably could have made my purchase in store waited in line & got out in less time than it took to pick up my "already purchased item".

Don’t order online and expect the mattress to be what it says. I ordered a compressed and rolled mattress online and went to pick it up. It was no longer rolled or compressed. Basically told it’s too bad that’s how it is they can “try to tape it up but it’s giving them a hard time”. After 30 minutes of my time it’s made into a return since they can’t give me what I ordered and the funds won’t be returned for 2-3 days. I needed this mattress tonight and am extremely disappointed with it’s the customer service I received. If you don’t have something the way it is listed remove it from your website availability.

Cashier was really nice but customers were ridiculously rude. Interrupting cashier while she's checking other people out, yelling from across the store, just a terrible shopping experience due to many of the customers in the store. Won't shop at this location again.
