Worst place ever. So ghetto and he is a very creepy and rude guy. He is so suspicious about his back room, like I don’t understand why. I took my cat there for vaccinations and he would not even give me the name of the shot he was giving my cat. And that same day when we got home my cat was acting weird he did not want to eat and was breathing strange. Do not take your animal here.

Had an emergency with puppy. He got her right in and the price was so low, for visit and medication. He even called a few days later to check up on her. Nice, caring vet.

Recommend him over larger veterinary clinics Not only because his prices are fair and lower then any other vet , he takes the time to call you back and will order any medications needed for your pet if he does not have them. Dr. Rude loves what he does and it shows! He took such great care of my kitties almost 15 yrs ago, now that I have a pup, he was my first go to. I was so glad to see that he is still going strong. Added: Of course he did not disappoint!! My new fur baby came home with kennel cough and Dr. Rude took care of him and even called to check on us. ☺️☺️

My sweet old fur baby (*Blue...my kitty), out of no where had a medical emergency...not having a vet for him, I had called: "The Animal Clinic of Reading", it had many good reviews and it also is a walk-in clinic!!The vet: Dr. Dwight Rude, was truly amazing!! He was so extremely sweet, kind, gentle and so very caring!! The bill amount was reasonable and he took his time when explaining everything I needed to know to take care of my kitties' situation very simply!! And honesty, he was absolutely wonderful with my baby!! So, I had decided that he will be my veterinarian for the rest of my animals as well!! So I DEFINITELY would recommend him if you are looking for a great veterinarian to take loving care of all of your animals!!😊💜😻🐶🐢

I use to take all my pets here back in the 90's til about early 2000's. My pets were dogs, cats, rabbits, and a ferret. Fabulous service and affordable, especially with all my babies. From shots, to neutering, sickness and infections. Dr. Rude fixed it all. These big fancy vets with their fancy office and waiting rooms are so over priced and half the time they take your pet and you don't even know what they're doing.Just got a new kitty so off to Dr. Rude again. Wouldn't change a thing about his service!Thank you Dr. Rude for all your dedication. See you soon.

I wanna say we've been coming here for about 30 years. I just like the fact that they accept walk-ins and you don't need to pay an office fee on top of a service fee. Prices are very reasonable, you're in and out if he's not really busy. I'd recommend, absolutely.

It is cash only but I rarely wait long. All the people are nice. Its not drawn out. He does what he does & I am on my way. I have no issue with his prices. I have been taking my pets here for years & will continue until he closes his doors.

The DOC. Knows his animals been coming with my little one shes 14 years old now and when there is an issue he corrects it right away. Recommended his to others to come here and now they will not go anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable for services. I haven't been there in about 10+years for the simple reason that someone told me that Dr. Rude wasn't practicing anymore. I don't remember who told me or even when someone told me or maybe I even overheard that somewhere, but whatever it was, it's not true. Dr. Rude is still practicing and not only on kitty's but barkers too. I'm so glad because No. 1 you can actually feel the goodness and care that Dr. RUDE THROWS OUT WHEN HE GIVES UR FUR BABY A CHECK UP. No. 2 He doesn't pull any punches or sugar coat nothing. He tells you what he thinks or knows regardless of it being bad news or even worse or especially when it's good. And No. 3 his price is always better than any of the other vets not saying any names but there is a vet in Temple near Walmart that will never again have my business even if they were the only vet around for 1000 miles. Well that's it for me 5 stars for DR. RUDE BECAUSE HE DOES CARE ABOUT UR FUR BABY.

He is a no-frills awesome veterinarian who cares for animals with kindness and the experience you only get from being in practice for so many years. He has never left the city because that’s where the people who need him live. If you need shots for your dog or cat give him a try. Don’t look for anything fancy just a veterinarian that knows what he’s doing.I go into Reading with my pets to see him.yes at times parking sucks.and it’s not the best area .that being said I will take my pets there until he retires.Then I’ll have to over pay for the same services because of the fancy office space.

My GSD needed her updated Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella boosters. I called our Veterinarian and atleast a dozen in the county and none of them could fit her in within 2 weeks for this simple, quick appointment. Pretty disappointing, but Animal Clinic of Reading scheduled me for the next day and we were in and out of the office within 15 minutes. Office is older, but Dr. Rude's prices are very reasonable, and he was friendly to my family which goes a long way with me!

Dr.Rudd took care of my stray kitty I brought in for nueter, shots, worms, mites and general check up all for under a very fair price. He is so generous! BTW this was in 2015 and it cost $149.00.

We have gone to Dr. Rude for years, with every animal and any issues. He is the kindest, most soft spoken, most informed and fair priced vet around. I can't say enough good things about him! His hours on Google aren't accurate, they want to charge him to change it. Smh Google. I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure he's available.

Me & my mother bring our dog Oscar here, Always a good experience. It's very inexpensive and will help your pet get better! The clinic is at a convenient location, clean and well kept always. Dr Rude is old school and professional, I definitely recommend this clinic to everyone who asks where to take their pets.
