Unfortunately I had bought a snake here 4-5 weeks ago and got scammed! I messaged the original breeder and she was $150 on their site but here she was $211 I understand you need to make profit but still! They also had lied about her morph so I wasn’t getting what I paid for. Anyways when I got her they had told me they fed her the week before and when they gave me her feeding chart she hadn’t been fed for two weeks, this made my snake very stressed and she was looking for food and I had no idea till I checked! I do love my snake but I don’t think buying from them is great when you can get them their actual price elsewhere.

I visited the store for the first time in a little over a year and was surprised to see that they had gotten rid of all the fish they used to have. Not too disappointed because I could see they put in their efforts elsewhere. All of the animals I could see were happy and well fed. The store was very clean considering how many birds they have inside, and they have very fair prices for what they’re selling.I’m not sure if they’re under new management or a new owner, but it’s clear they care about the animals a lot and that was very nice to see.

The care provided to the animals is inadequate. They have Guinea pigs & ferrets in the same cage with a clear barrier, which means the ferrets do not have nearly enough room, & the Guinea pigs will be stressed by the ferrets considering they are prey animals & ferrets are carnivorous & would happily kill them if given the chance. Do better!!

If I could leave a negative star review I would. I had healthy bunnies until I purchase one from y'all in which she was severely sick and had parasites. Infecting my other bunnies now. Yes you have me a refun. But, you can’t give me a refund on that fact that I will lose my precious “babies” because of the dirtiness of your place and the animals you get. Maybe recheck the source you get them from. Cause I know many people who have gotten a rabbit from you and it died within a week.

If I can give them 0 star rating I would. I would not buy a bunny here. About a week later the bunny died. Found out the cause of death was a parasite. My fiancé Went back to the store to get her money back and the owner humiliated her in front of other customers saying that my fiancé was the reason why the bunny died because we supposedly didn’t feed it right. Mind you we have 3 other bunnies bought from another store for almost 3 months already and they are alive and well. So this store clearly doesn’t take care of their animals

Probably one of the rudest cashiers I have ever encountered. My Daughter was trying to ask for mice and crickets and other things for her animals. The lady was very short, abrupt, and sarcastic. She will realize that we can..and will..buy our supplies elsewhere. " is that it, are you sure" is not good customer service. My daughter was going to buy more things but the attitude made her think twice. There wasn't a line, the cashier (older lady) was just a rude person. I am just visiting but my kids live here, I can't believe they stay in business with a snotty and rude cashier. Best advice..go elsewhere

Stopped in the pet store tonight. Was looking at all the hampsters. Came to the snakes see a tank with a snake that had mouse in it. I know they eat life mice but to put one in tank when the stores open. There was a little kid about 5 looking at the them. I really think it would shock a kid to see that. The snake was on bottom shelf eye level for the kid. Never seen one in the tank before. Should be done when stores closed . Kids would be upset to see that.

Having worked in pet stores, professionally in exotic reptile & animal care, and caring for my own variety of pets over numerous years - when I name that the enclosures their animals are kept in (specifically their birds) it absolutely made me sick. African Gray Parrot was kept in a parakeet sized cage, INSIDE A ginormous cage that wouldve given plenty of room! Why? Well, the proper sized cages are for display only of course! Sure, you might see a few out here and there. But then you have smaller parrots behind glass where their bodies take up 25% of the entire space. I don't blame any employees, this is the owners' fault. Whoever you are - SPEND THE DAMN MONEY. MAKE THE SPACE. Anyone who ends up buying an exotic animal, especially bird, is likely to be in for way more than they can handle with how stressed and traumatized birds behave. Ugh. Exotics birds? Bird Mania in Allentown, Living Things in Orefield, etc.... go somewhere else. Don't give the owners your money.

We were going to buy a fish for my son yesterday and we couldn't because all of the fish looked sick. The water was gross and they all looked nearly dead. We never bothered to say anything because I have never had any good experience with the customer service there and I knew I'd be wasting my time...just read the reviews...

I visit the Qmart often, my daughter has always loved to stop in and see the pets so it made sense when she was old enough we got her first hamster from there. While being shown the choices by an older gentleman he made a very sexist comment comparing the fickleness of hamsters is much like a woman. The lady next to me fired back a retort but I was too shocked to say anything. The hamster died only 5 short months later. My daughter braved another one and today has been 3.5 months and yet again we found the hamster dead. At this point I would have to say I will never buy another pet from this place. The staff is sexist and their pets are questionable.

Giant size bird is set free and so is a giant size turtle there are all kinds of supplies at this place. No dogs and no cats that I saw but my daughter and I truly enjoyed seeing all the fish and many types of birds that they had there. If you're looking for cockatiels they have them.They even have reptiles.

My husband and I absolutely love this store. The owner is so knowledgeable and her staff are super nice. We’ve bought a budgie and pineapple conure from them and both have been great birds. Our conure is very personable and cuddly and always looking for mischief!

Look up master fish breeder on Instagram or live fish tanks on Facebook if you want high quality African cichlids, cherry shrimp or other fish in the Quakertown area .. We have a wide selection in hundreds of fish we breed them locally we tried to work with this place but they don't like to work with local breeders they buy from large whole sellers which don't really produce good quality fish

I used to love this location. Now my last several visits have been uncomfortable. There’s an older woman who works there and is very sour. She’s made nasty comments when asked simple questions towards me and it fully put me off buying a bird from her today. Her comment that really threw me off was “I don’t have time for all that.” When I asked her about her handling of the birds in the store. I know you’re understaffed, but these are living breathing things that require attention and knowledge. Which she has, she mentioned she has 17 birds of her own. I do have birds of my own and didn’t need that time of patronizing behavior from her. I don’t like going to chain places for bird hence why I came here. I will not be giving my business to this place anytime soon.

This store is amazing so much cute and adorable pets! Seeing so many cute birds, rabbits, snakes, lizards, ferrets, and Axolotl! And most interesting thing of all is seeing a very cool big turtle and watching the beautiful parrot fly around the store saying hello to people. Best store ever I'm happy my boyfriend take me to this wonderful place!

Did alot of research and came in to the store ready to commit to a green cheek conure or hand raised cockatiel. They had alot of nice and healthy looking birds. After talking to the staff they directed us towards a bird that didn't come up in any of my research so I was hesitant but they were patient and helpful with all of our questions. The bird we came home with ended up being the exact perfect fit for our family and very friendly and healthy!

They used to have (or have very little) exotic and interesting fish like arowanas, lungfish, arapima, red tail catfish, shovel nose catfish & alligator gar. There’s Axolotl salamanders in about 15 different tanks which they could use for more interesting fish. The overall quality and diversity of fish has gone downhill in the past couple of years.

I got my widow bug from here. Great store and staff. My boys absolutely love this store and want to go back. I did however freak out cause I didn't know much about her morph. I can assure anyone they do sell healthy animals. Widow is a spider morph ball python and I thought she had a neurological contagious disease she didn't. She came back negative on her test. She has the wobbly gene which is normal for spiders. So when I read some of these comments it's just from their perspective and could be not so true.Shout out to the staff for being so awesome and giving me a gorgeous python

They have a variety of supplies and feeders, however I would be careful and inquire about the sources of the animals if you wish to purchase one. I bought a bearded dragon here and it passed away due to a birth defect. These things do happen but it is always worth being a little cautious and asking first, then doing ample research into the supplier and the animal itself before making a purchase.

Been going to this place for over a year now for my fish supplies. Went in for a light they had there for months that was priced at 120. Was going to purchase but figured I'd asked if they could go any lower since it's been there for months. Lady called some guy. Gets off the phone and tells me she will only sell it to me for $200, no joke. Wouldnt even let my buy it at the price it was labeled as. On top of that she was rude, as if i was the one scamming people. Talk about shady business.If it didn't sell at $120 for months, why would it sell at $200? Why wouldn't you simply decline and honor the original price? Why would you treat a repeat supporter of your business like this?I always try to keep my money in small businesses instead of large retailers but I went right over to Petsmart and bought the same light. Yes, I paid $129 which was more but I gladly paid it after the laughable experience here. Will never return.

We bought a greencheek conure, a lilac crowned amazon, an african gray, and two cockatiels from Fins and they have been the best and sweetest pets in health and temperament. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and they really care about their animals. We always buy all of our bird's food from Fins as well because they have their own blend that they use for their birds.

I drove an hour to get to this pet store because the website said they had parakeets. When I got there they said I could only buy 1 ( I wanted 2) even though they had about 15 or more, and they would not sell me the parakeet unless I bought a cage…even though I brought my own carry cage. Very unfriendly staff, very unwilling to help me since the moment I walked in the door. I went around the corner to Pets Plus and bought 2 beautiful parakeets, without having to buy an overpriced cage I didn’t need…and the woman who helped me was so nice. Don’t waste your time going to find, feathers, paws & claws. Very unprofessional, overpriced, and unimpressive.

Great selection of birds and amazing prices for their items. Unlike some places with cheap quality items. They take care of all their animals and feed them as well. Prices are set to make sure all animals are provided for properly, before they find their forever home.

Cages look clean, store doesn't smell dirty. Animals appear calm, comfortable, not scared or nervous, healthy and well fed. Haven't purchased anything, don't currently have any pets, but would consider it, seems like a good store. No cats or dogs, so no puppy/kitten Mill animals. Guinea pigs but no bunnies, so no bunny mill animals. I think they've had kittens from a rescue before. Responsible pet shop owners. Truly impressive. They have a lot of birds, the birds are calm and confident and clean so they are handled well and gently, would make good pets, aren't being maltreated.

Don't think I'll shop here again. I got overcharged by like $5 on bird toys that were overpriced to begin with. Didn't realize it until I got home and because they don't give you a receipt, I didn't really have a leg to stand on. The woman who rang up my purchase didn't appear to be paying attention to what she was doing and wasn't very friendly.

I've been visiting this store occasionally for decades. It was always a favorite, but we didn't live in the area to come often. Recently, we visited twice in a month to pick up some pet supplies. I was very disappointed. I love supporting local, family owned business but I do not feel this one is currently well managed. The store was unkempt, lots of the animal cages and tanks were dirty. There was no staff in the store to help customers for over twenty minutes and we almost walked out empty handed, leaving us plenty of time to observe rodents living in excessive feces, a axotol in a tank that was dead so long it was skeletal, dead fish, etc. I do not trust the health of animals so poorly cared for and wouldn't recommend to friends for this reason.

Completely uneducated about hamsters. My friend bought a robo and I helped her with all the things she needed. And as anyone would know a hamsters back being bent while running is detrimental to their spine so we did not plan to purchase their smaller wheel even tho it's a tiny hamster because it's not large enough, and it's two separate plastic pieces which many hamsters have gotten their fur and toes stuck between the two pieces, theyre dangerous. Anyways we get to the checkout and the women decides to shop for us and say they had the smaller wheel and when I said we did not want that one because of it being too small they say "well it's made for that hamster" as if that's a valid excuse but to avoid them not selling my friend the hamster because we didn't want a dangerous wheel we just took it, demolished it and bought a high quality one that's very similar to the nicer one at their store and guess what the hamster has zero problem getting on it.Those wire cages you tried to upsell to us are also dangerous to robo hamsters because they can easily escape through the wires, or get caught in them trying. And every single one of those cages is too small for even the robo hamsters let alone the large Syrian hamsters they also sell.The care sheet they gave us was complete garbage and just an oxbow brand ad.Completely overpriced aswell, $300 for a ferret when at any other pet store they're less then $50Make the extra drive to any HIGH QUALITY pet store instead and save your money.
